What is the operating distance of the Banggood HGp601 6x6?

The real question is, what will it cost you to make the Bang good special comparable to the tracks this six-by-six. I'm guessing it will cost you another $300. And at that point you are still left with weak plastics and a customer service department that does not exist

I ran across these cars 4 or 5 years ago! I almost got the 4 wheeled version, but I didn't like the plastic chassis because I wanted something to scale out. I actually built 2 1/6 scale crawlers before I bought a 1/10 scale. I was waiting for them to make a fully optioned model , but they never did. Good design , but cheaply made. If someone only had $200.00 to get into RC and wanted a crawler it would be a good start and would leave a little $ to upgrade.

Hi, many thanks for the nice review. Would the body of the banggood fit on the TRX6?

Saw another guys video with this thing driving. It moves along and climbs very very well. But it doesn’t have a “scale” looking ride to it. Meaning it looks hella cheap bouncing along at speed. Traxxas TRX6 moves with authority and looks much more scale on the move IMO.

I'm looking at shocks fro it tonight as the ones on it aren't doing a lot! But ebay looks to be a good hunting ground for a bargain, if only I can find selling selling them in 2's not '4s!! :-)

I have to say guys you get what you pay for I bought an E max back when I was in my 20’s I am now in my 40’s and that thing still works and I can still walk in to the hobby store in my town and buy parts for it will that be the case with that Chinese one I don’t think so I will be buying the Traxxas thank you for the video very entertaining.

I actually agree on the Traxxas front, I think Traxxas lead the way in spares, also on warranty stuff as well they sent me a new Maxx ESC within 24 hours of getting the problematic one back. I show the cheaper cars like this though as not everyone has $600+ for the TRX6

Be interesting to see how money you have in the clone when your done upgrading trying to get it equal to the TRX6.

I wanna see how much its gonna cost once u have all the upgrades n how it stands up against the TRX6

Doh! Yes that's what I meant 3 not 5! Apologies to all and well spotted stevo! The upgrades are pretty cheap, it's not to the same build as the traxxas but I think with a few upgrades it'll be a different beast

Looks like this could be very good for your children starting and they can use their allowance to upgrade.

Can I add the traxxas wheels and tires to the copy ?

I just received my first car from bang good, and the box arrived squashed and ripped. Car was ok though, one of them m99s land rovers for my son.

I have never seen AG body on the trail whether it be a 4 by 4

I think the thing that all of you is missing is the HG 601 cam out before the trx6 did and traxxas copied that idea and just made it better. As far as the HG601 goes the mods that you would have to do still wouldnt make it as expensive as the trx6 and it might be as capable. If you were trying to do a budget build with it I would go with an ARC2 or a HW1080 esc and a Holmes hobbies trailmaster sport 550 (if it would fit) and a 35Kg servo from amazon with a 3S lipo and that would make the HG a very good trailer or crawler.

Fantastic unboxing comparison Rich, am glad this was out before Traxxas, So they have copied of it lol, So probably about £100 on upgrades will make it compete with the Traxxas which will be still cheaper Rich, think I might get one next year, Great video Rich again 👍😁👍

I like low price!

That front bumper gets in the way of ALOT! Otherwise absolutely great rig for the price!!

yes, it's cheaper, but "you can upgrade this and upgrade that..." - number 1, why it is cheaper number 2: the licence for the Body... Traxxas is fully Mercedes Benz licenced, the other one is a cheap chinese copy there are a hundred reasons, why it is cheaper

To be frank, the Traxxas isn't $500 better. If the Traxxas was priced at around $300, it would be fair, otherwise the Chinese one is the better buy.

Once you upgrade that piece of junk its gonna be the same price as the trx6. I've heard more of the word "upgrade" than some people do during their whole life. I am also a proud trx6 owner! Traxxas for life!

NEEDS steering mods!!! After MUCH work on my P402 (4 wheel drive version), I've been messing with for over 4 years... To save a lot of trouble and headaches, and money - Thingiverse has an Axle mounted Servo Kit. Actually a couple, that you can Print. It's a 4 link with a CMS... See the problem? EPIC compression steer!! More work than it's worth. Just fit a good Servo on the Axle! 😉 The Metal Chassis is a worthwhile upgrade. It's solid, and HEAVY. The Rig is TOO light to make the suspension do anything. Weight is your friend. The Axles themselves are a bit special. They're the lowest gear ratio of any 1/10th Scale Rig! That works in your favor! You can do all sorts of upgrades, and STILL end up WAY short of the overpriced, overrated TRAXXASS TRX-6!!! Much to the chagrin of Traxxas Fanboys! I've done so many things to the HG. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to help! 😊 I wish I had bought the P601 when I could... Too poor now, even at that price. Enjoy! Carmine ✈🚂🚙

Accessorizing your RC from eBay? DON'T buy from I ordered skid-plates for my TRX-4 from them. The ad photo showed a front and rear, and the ad said “Stainless Steel Front Rear Protect Skid-plate for Traxxas TRX-4” I received ONLY the FRONT! When I queried the Chinese owned seller/retailer through eBay I was told I specified the “Front” only. This is on-going until I’m satisfied! What does this have to do with this video? With Traxxas, you have endless subsequent support from McKinney, Texas USA. The Banggood HGP601 you're likely dealing with zero subsequent support from a commie Chinese company.

Indeed Douglas you raise a good point and happy to share the 'don't buy' recommendation for that ebay store. With banggood they do provide support it just takes a while and that's reflected in the pricing, but then there's a 75% price difference to consider. So far they've dealt with any issues pretty good, it just takes a while to arrive. Traxxas service is outstanding I typically get through to a real person within 30 secs unlike HH who you can wait 60-75mins to talk to someone. Hope you get it sorted with that ebay supplier!

Gonna cost 400 dollars to get it close to the quality of the Traxxas
