Do these have straps to use as a backpack?

You can use the carry handles like a backpack. Works great at least on the smaller bags when I need to carry a bunch of stuff up to my hotel room or something like that. But I wouldn’t want to carry it for miles that way. They’re not designed for comfort, I imagine there are other bags that are intended for backpack style carry.
Is the big one the 148L?

Yes. Ours is the 148L. They do make one size larger than that too.
