    That's the kind of off-roading I like. Going to a destination even if it is to have lunch instead of being confined to an "off-road park".

    We feel the same way - we’ve had fun at off-road parks but the feeling of having freedom to travel somewhere… it’s hard to describe but we love it.

    Thank you for advocating the benefits of these interconnected routes. Hopefully more legislatures will see this and realize how this can boost both small town and the entire state economy as a whole. Keep up the good work. Always a pleasure watching your family with mine.

    You bet!!! It makes all the difference for riders. ATV/UTVs have a billion dollar annual economic impact on our state - bigger than snowmobiles. I think communities and their representatives are seeing the huge benefits for opening up routes, and that all the huge problems they think will come about safety, noise or drunk driving just don’t happen.

    😂 I’ve seen some Civics do some gnarly stuff! It’s Wisconsin, there is only so much terrain to tackle 🤷‍♂️ There were some muddy spots, some decent rocky parts, and some thick sand, but having ridden plenty of mountain trails out west, I would describe every public trail I know in Wisconsin as “mild” in the big scheme of things. But the scenery was beautiful and it was a fun ride 😊

    You could run a lot of it and substitute some forest roads in a lot of areas where there are UTV trails. I’ve seen some people do similar with the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail.

    Bottle jack, way better than the tusk scissor jack, it doesn't do well with a 4 seat machine on the rear

    We use a system from UTVCOM called the S4S. It’s ok. There are pros and cons to the wired system. I’m kind of leaning towards picking up a Bluetooth system from Rugged Radio or someone. I have to do more research honestly.

    I live in Wisconsin rapids in central Wisconsin and it is the only city that will not allow UTV/ATV traffic in city limits. We are fighting for the city committee to pass the ordinance but we have old alderman that don't want change. We did do a petition to make it a referendum for a vote. But they moved the vote to November. Could you please come and talk to our committee, and show them and tell them and try to convince them that this is a fun and safe sport?

    Occasionally I use the GoPro one and it’s worked well. I didn’t on this trip - this was all the sticky mounts with the 3M backers - the one on my front bumper has been there for 2 years and it’s still super solid. I also use the GoPro roll bar mount.

    Hi, I'm looking at getting a 4 seat General. We road in one last weekend. The back seats were unbearably hot. Do you get that in yours? If so did you do anything to help with that? We are a family of 4 looking to do similar rides that you are doing. I want the kids to be comfortable. Let me know. Thanks for the videos!

    Hey! Glad you enjoy the channel. They do get a little warm when the weather is hot. It can be uncomfortable and it’s something we’ve discussed trying to figure out but haven’t really taken any steps yet. We put a small electric fan or two in the back sometimes that helps move a little air. I don’t know how much it helps honestly. I have seen KZread videos where guys install a radiator style fan on their ceiling to move a lot more air. There are also some kits that have insulating pieces, that go on the inside of the tunnel, cup holders, etc - reflective material and some pieces that block the center tunnel to keep the warm radiator air from making its way back. We haven’t tried any of it yet. You can always buy a machine with A/C too and full doors. Place I worked had a few and they were pretty nice in the summer with a full cab.

    other then the flat how are those tires holding up how many miles on them, they seem to be doing well with the amount of pavement you travel.

  • @TheNorthwoodsFamily

    @TheNorthwoodsFamily

    Жыл бұрын

    They were good overall, seemed durable, decent ride - not sure what caused the flat but any tire could go flat. I think we had about 1500 miles on them and they were probably half done. Overall we thought our Terrabites provided a noticeably smoother ride on pavement and hard packed trails. I’m guessing treadlife is similar but can’t say. We wound up running some 10-ply Aramid Terrabites on the trip we did after this one and they’ve been out favorite so far.

    There is absolutely no reason why a 4runner or Jeep shouldn't be allowed on these trails.

  • @TheNorthwoodsFamily

    There are some tight places here and there but I think a smaller SUV or Jeep would probably be fine most spots. The one thing I just don’t know enough about is how much heavier vehicles erode the trail? That said, our General fully loaded has got to be over 3,000 lbs, so what is another 1000?
