*I lost 120 pounds in 2018 on a Carnivore Diet, I maintained that in 2019. In 2020 I struggled with some weight gain and then lost it again in 2021. For the last few years I have been maintaining a healthy weight. In December 2022 I had skin removal surgery (tummy tuck). This channel just documents all of that journey and how our family lives normal lives and eats a meat based diet.

After a year and a half on carnivore, I realized that my transition would have been easier if had adapted my favorite textures into a carnivore way of eating. I love soups, so I found a way to make chunky carnivore soups that would satisfy. I love crunchy, so I make sure I have chicken wings often. I love creamy, so deviled eggs fit the bill. Carnivore is now easy for me. 😊

I recently learned a similiar lesson, Did Keto for about 4 years, lost a lot of weight, but then stalled before getting to my goal weight. I switched my way of eating a couple of months ago, this time, making sure I am in a calorie deficit, while keeping my protein at 1gram per pound of body weight. Finally have achieved my goal and can see my Abs. Keto was a great learning experience, but at the same time, It is very important to know your calorie maintenenance number and work with that. Was eating way too much, Especially as fats are very high in calories

Cravings disappeared after 6 months. That's when I got strict, quit artificial sweeteners and cheese, figured out I had to stop trying to make carnivore sweets and hacks that just kept the addiction going. It also helps to know how toxic seed oils are, I can now smell the rancidity of anything with seed oils and I don't recognize it as food.

I have been on carnivore for 4 weeks now. I have gone from 360 lbs to 330 pounds. 30 pounds in a month! I have watched a bunch of your videos and would like to thank you for your help. I have a long ways to go but I am committed.

Day 29 for me, so just getting started. I have a lot of weight to lose, so I am just taking it one day at a time. Thankfully, with my husbands encouragement, we are doing this together. So appreciate you and Chris for all your wisdom from experience, frankness and recipes/cooking tips. We wish you all the best on your upcoming adventure.

On May 1, I started month 9 of carnivore. Easiest thing I’ve ever done! I did keto for several years and then transitioned to carnivore. In the process I lost over 40 pounds (I’m about 8 pounds away from my goal weight), and as of a week ago, was told by my doctor that I no longer have sleep apnea! That was never on my radar because I didn’t know that was even possible! He told me it was the weight loss and the change in diet.

Yesterday was Easter. I have had problems before when doing carnivore but the holidays have tripped me up and then I fell clear off the wagon. I got my husband M&M's, so I had one. It didn't test that good. Then later I had a piece of apple pie. It didn't really appeal to me any more. I think giving in to a slight craving before it became a monster kind of put it in its place. Today I am back in carnivore. Lesson to learn don't wait to give in to a slight craving until it becomes an uncontrollable monster.

Appreciate your channel.. I’m 65, I started at 270 1st of Dec 2023, I’m now at 235, I’m headed for 210.. I believe in flexibility, I’m not a protein/calorie/ macro counter, focus on cutting carbs and eating my steaks in the evening.. 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon in the mornings, if needed a FEW pork rinds and or jerky for lunch, usually a steak w/ mushrooms and onions for dinner.. sometimes pork chops/fish/chicken.. sometimes small salads and vegetables.. if I don’t get enough protein I get hungry at bed time.. for me a lil popcorn has taken the edge off.. All this while drinking Diet Cokes all day long.. I know, I can see the anti soda folks shaking their heads, and I agree, but it’s my vice, for now I’m losing weight. I have a cruise at the end of the month, I plan on continuing on the carnivore (ketovore) on the cruise (which I don’t think will be that hard) and after.. it feels good to have the weight off after 10 years.. thanks again Laura and to all the encouraging comments from your followers.. everyone needs to find what works for them..

I stumbled across your KZread channel a few years back, as well as many many others. I was looking for an answer to my Type 2 Diabetes. Today I'm "mostly" carnivore. I rarely watch those other KZreadrs. I do keep coming back to yours though. I find you and your videos very legit, honest, definitely helpful, and even inspiring. So thank you for being here. My Diabetes update: Over the last couple of years my A1c has gone from 13.2 to a current 5.4! I just want you and Chris to know how grateful I am for having found y'all. You are the real deal!

I was on Keto for about 6 years. Then at the beginning of the year, I did a water only fast for 40 days. After that, I began doing carnivore. My situation is different, though. 19 months ago, I had foot surgery, then another, which became infected. Finally, after 8 surgeries, they removed all the hardware they had installed before. Now I'm in a worse condition. I can't walk, and my body is in stress due to my foot. As a result, my blood sugar is elevated. But the surgeon won't do the corrective surgery that I need until my blood sugar is normal, but my sugar is elevated because of my foot. I called my sugar doctor, but the earliest he can see me is 3 weeks. Meanwhile, I'm continuing doing carnivore, but it's a bit discouraging.

Thank you so much for your insights. My son of 28 years came and stayed with me for Easter. He is vegetarian so I made fish and a nut roast for him. He is a nutritionist so it’s hard to tell him what I need but I managed to convince him that I have a problem with gluten. He accepted that even though I wanted nothing to do with grains or carbs. It’s really hard.
