*I lost 120 pounds in 2018 on a Carnivore Diet, I maintained that in 2019. In 2020 I struggled with some weight gain and then lost it again in 2021. For the last few years I have been maintaining a healthy weight. In December 2022 I had skin removal surgery (tummy tuck). This channel just documents all of that journey and how our family lives normal lives and eats a meat based diet.

It's not good at all to go Carn. longterm , our bodies need all the diff.herbs , plants fruits & veg.s nutrients God has made especially for us - our bodies . Do you know the Lord Jesus personally , have you surrendered all your ways, life control & even good works unto Him ? He is our Savior King Creator & BF..only believe , acknowledge HIM & turn unto His way, truth & true life eternal.HE knows BEST honestly. ..... No other way❤ but thru / by Jesus.😊
Today is day 100 of carnivore. I'm 69, and weight loss is slow, but I feel so much better. My 72 year old hubby is on this journey with me. He's lost 20 pounds, and I've lost 18. You two have been such an inspiration!

Great video ! Thank you for breaking this down. A doctor telling me I was pre-diabetic last July was the wake up call I needed. I have lost 50lbs so far and my fasting glucose has gone from 117 to 101. I have started fasting to kick things up a notch 😊. I am so glad I found you guys.

You can do this . One day at a time is a great way to walk through the transition. Have your meat , but stay day by day . Thinking too far ahead causes stress . One nice meal & distraction. The cravings hit hard at night . Walk , drawing , reading , water or meat helps !

I am so grateful that you two choose to share your journey with us. You have helped inspire me the last several months and I have become healthier this past year. I’m 54 and this way of eating cured something that some people are too embarrassed to discuss….. severe vaginal dryness. After menopause guess what….. we don’t have to fall apart! 😊 We can get healthier as we age and your mom is proof of that as well. God bless you and your beautiful family!
Shared with a diabetic friend! Thank you, for addressing this issue and sharing your experience, Chris!! ❤🎉
I have also reversed my type 2 diabetes. I see my doc and can't wait to go...it's been a long time. I have lost 93 lbs, smallest I've been since middle school. My a1c was checked this past week and it was 5.1.

I eat less than 10 carbs a day. I usually eat lunch around noon, some type of meat, bacon, hamburger, leftover meat from dinner. Dinner is usually any kind of meat, maybe eggs occasionally. I do have coffee with either heavy cream or sf creamer. I may have a snack of pork rinds, sometimes cheese. That's it, I'm usually full and satisfied. I have broccoli or asparagus on occasion when out eating steak.

Thank you both for sharing this video! Really great to hear a first hand experience. So important to hear the steps involved. I have a long way to go but your supportive videos have been key to my success. Thank you!
That’s got to be one of the best videos I’ve watched on this subject. Thanks for sharing and being such an encouragement.
Great Video! Love it when the Hubs joins in,
oh my goodness, this was wonderful and so helpful...you know how people can tell you things to help you but sometimes it takes just the right person to say it and you finally get it, well you two have been that for me,,,thank you so much ,,,I've just started finding out about eating carnivore and trying to implement it...I finally have some hope, thank God !
Thank you, Laura and Chris! This is great info.
Wow, guys thank you so much for sharing. This is vital info! I know many people (including myself) are scared of fasting, but everyone says it does work, so time to seriously consider it. Going to start with a 24-hour fast this month. And a 36-hour hour fast in August. This is the beginning for me. I am excited and nervous. Videos like yours are super helpful
This is the video I’ve been waiting for!
Good info! Thanks Chris and Laura for sharing your experiences. Definitely helps to have actual experienced people telling their stories.
Very helpful information! I’m a type II diabetic and I fast 20:4 but I need to add some longer fast days after being keto for 4 months now. Chris is an inspiration!
You’re such an inspiration Chris thank you 🙏❤
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It was very helpful.
Good vlog. Hope you do more like this addressing the diabetes issue, as well how your husband and your mom deal with this issue.
Thank you Laura ❤
You are a stunning couple! Cheers to many more healthy years together. Danya
Thank you for sharing your story 👍
Life savers. Both of you. Thank you. Clear and concise info.
I enjoyed this video and appreciate your husband’s story. I am a diagnosised diabetic for over 15 years. This was difficult however the worst part was kidney issues. I was told in early March this year to prepare for dialysis. No way! So right after my 67th birthday on 3/27, I converted to carnivore…2 weeks slowly. Have done great, 35 lbs gone. My biggest issue now is walking. I have Charcot foot disease due to neuropathy and am not allowed to walk too much anymore. I do get into my pool everyday…I live in Florida. That is my “walking” and it’s all working great! I have about a 1/3 of my kidney function back and off insulin now after only 2 1/2 months!! I am so encouraged by you and that I found your videos, plus Dr Berry, and turned my life around!!❤ Thank you!! 🎉

Love your channel . I am a sugar addict through & through . I have quit sooo many times . I’ve learned I can’t moderate if it’s like a drug . Even fruit . I’m back ON the wagon . It’s amazing how much my mood lifts without it once I get past the withdrawal . I got complacent now I’m ten lbs heavier . Sigh .
Congratulations! Keep it up!

You're videos are really soothing to me. Love your content.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and journey. I made a goal last year to get off metformin. I have just gone carnivore this year and I am looking forward to the results!
Thank you so to both of you. Simple steps that anyone can understand and should be able to oversee and add to their lives in order to get a better life. Non of you are my doctor (obviosly), but these 3 advice is better than what my doctor ever advised me to do in order to get off my medication. 🙏 Chris, pad yourself on the back, cause you did YT very well today too 👍. And Laura, you look as beautiful as ever 😊.
Thank you so much for all the great information ❤❤
I'm so happy for your family! Would love to see more content with your Mama. She is adorbs.
Thanks for sharing, I needed to hear the aspect that everybody’s body is different and works sometimes slower than others, and you gave me good alternatives to work with that. I’m definitely like your mom, I was only pre-diabetic but after six months on strict keto I was losing weight but I could not lower my A1c. I checked it every morning and was always around 125. This was helpful!!
Thank you very much for sharing your story Chris.
WOW. Such an inspiring testimony…. Thanks for sharing.. your story helps me a lot… I was told I was pre. Diabetic… last month I cut carbs out…
This was fascinating. Thank you!
Thanks, it’s good to hear others experience.
Fabulous video. So helpful. Such sweet lovebirds. So refreshing to see.
Fantastic summary. Thank you!!
Thank you.
Not diabetic but probably insulin resistant, and doctor tells me I'm hypertensive and wants me on medication. Not happening. The weight has to come off. I took a promotion and have an hour lunch now, so I'm either in the company gym doing body weight and Pilates or out walking the company property. Finished the last of the vegetables in my fridge tonight. Stocked up yesterday on meat, eggs, butter, some cheese. Made your meatballs for dinner, and had those with some air fried shrimp dipped in the rest of the crushed pork rinds. I've tried literally everything to lose the weight over the last few years, and this is the first thing I've tried that doesn't feel like a deprivation diet. Everyday feels like a cheat meal! I can do this!

Yes u can!! I did it and I'm a self proclaimed foodie at 64! Have lost 32 lbs so far on Cdiet for 4 months! No health issues..just tired of thinking about FOOD.ALL.THE.TIME! Sugar freak! Sleep better..feel better. I'm tall so might not lose more but will stay on it for the rest of my life. Cheaper and simple. Good Luck
Well done the pair of you. 👍Laura you were the first person I saw on utube on this subject. In January this year I was over 15 stones (210 lbs) I’m now 11stones 11 and as fit as I was in my 30s ( 61 now) I’ve not been this light for over 30 years! I love my exercise and my new body shape, no more massive shelf of fat on my front and lower BP and a resting pulse rate of 49 bpm! I’ve lost so much weight some people have asked me if I’m well, they thought I’ve got the big C. Well done to you both and your mum.👍🥩🥓🍳🏋🏻♂️
Wow. Thank you so much. Appreciate your story. 😊
While all my blood markers a good, I (56) am extremely overweight and have begun my journey to lose the excess through a ketovore way of eating. I cannot begin to tell you how fasting (omad) has made such a big difference already (4 weeks in). Sure, the weight loss is great, but I feel fantastic. Much more alert, brain fog gone, my mood as drastically improved. Strange as it sounds, I feel alive. Truly believe fasting is a critical component to my road to a healthy body.

Masha Allah… an inspiring journey, congratulations to your husband and your mum too 👍🏼 …thank you for sharing this… it gives me, Alhamdulillah a 57 year old father of 4, even more hope to reverse my type 2 and be rid of the daily meds… insha Allah will continue my IF and get back into Keto too
Thanks for sharing
Great informative video…thank you!!!!
Thank you!!!
awesome video great information.
Very inspiration, Thank you so much
Awesome journey. Congrats. I also did my reversal. All excellent points. I must say that fruits have fiber and total carbs less fiber will define the sugar impact. So, body reacts differently to candy and fruit. Intermittent fasting and cutting processed carbs was the key in my case.
You really explained well how Type 2 diabetes begins and how to reverse it. Now, I just have to put in the exercise. I've been doing the other steps. Pre-diabetic.
Thanks for sharing, inspiring
He,Paul! Thanks
Start out with a 15 minute walk daily and build it up. Exercise will not produce weight loss while you are insulin resistant. First step is to eliminate insulin resistance with intermittent fasting along with glucose control and elimination of grains and vegetable oils.
🐝thanks for the great video🌻
That was a very informative video. My doctor put me on Metformin in April as my A1C was 9. I will reverse this. I do 1-2 apples but didn’t realize I shouldn’t. I do intermittent fasting and went from 199lbs. down to 182 lbs. My blood sugar readings are between 98 - 130. My first Concept2 bike erg gave me a stiff knee due to inactivity, but I am looking forward to starting back in a few days with strength training. Hopefully then I will see better numbers. God bless ❤️
This is an amazing story. Last year I was over 465 lbs, but then lost some weight fasting. However, early in January of this year, I still ended up in the ER with Bells Palsy because I still wasn't eating right. I had diabetes and high blood pressure. My sugar was 390 and my A1C was over 11 as well. I went full on, low carb and intermittent fasting plus exercise. In 5 months I got down to 350 lbs (total from some of the previous weight loss). While still in my 300's, but losing fast, my A1C dropped to 6.7. The doctor was absolutely shocked. I think with hard work and focus, all us diabetics can reverse it. My doctor is hoping to eliminate insulin in the next few months, as I am nearly pre-diabetic levels. It's an inspiration to see stories like these. Because if you still wake up in the morning, it is never too late to make a change.
Yayyyu for cute couples who are on this journey together ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, this was interesting and confirms I'm on the right track - and it's such an inspiration. Sometimes I'm just so close to giving up and surrender to the dark thoughts that whisper "it's impossible" but I have to remind myself of the actual progress and improvements, and be consistent and patient. It's kind of hard because i want bigger results faster LOL... Patience is hard. I quit metformin quite recently (which I'm sure my doctor will have a strong opinion about, on my next visit) but I never liked the side effects - and it seems I reversed my T2D enough at this point to actually not need it. My blod sugar is stable as long as I stay away from carbs. The only thing I need to improve now is the exercise part - I find it soooo boring and to me it's really hard to find a routine. I'm eating alright, minmizing carbs and I do fasting. So I have to figure out a way to exercise that makes me actually do it. Going for a walk may seem like an easy thing to do but...no. Maybe it will be easier when I've lost a few pounds more and my body is lighter. I've lost about 60 pounds so far but still have a long way to go. Cheers from Sweden! 😀
A decade ago, research showed that the body can distinguish between added sugars and sugar from fruits. Since then, nutrition experts have been recommending that avoiding added sugars from the diet would improve health. Meanwhile, studies also showed that refined sugars produce a rapid and high rise in blood glucose, whereas sugar from most whole fruits produces a gradual rise in blood glucose with the presence of soluble fiber.
I was like chris.......thanks for the story!
Great video
Awesome!
You don't reverse it, you put into remission.
Great Channel
I did the same three steps, Cut out the carbs, Exercise HIT, and Fasting (16 -8) for the first month then now alternate every other day.
Change diet. Cut out carbs, salts, sugars. Excercise. I'm talking from experience

I started a low carb diet with two meals a day and intermittent fasting. And in for days my glucose levels went from being in the mid to high 300s, to low to mid 200s. And I walked 10k steps a day and I didn’t take any medication.
Excellent
Omg your mom looks great!!! What she eat. Do .workout ??
I have been on a low salt diet! It sucks! I broke down and drank a Gatorade felt way better.
I was at 12.8 (BS 475) when admitted to the ICU 4.5 years ago with a blood infection. I was started on meds, but changed my way of eating and was weaned off over 6 months or so when my A1C was at 5.2. 4 years now since getting off meds and last week I tested at 4.8 (FBG 68). T2D doesn't have to be progressive and CAN be reversed/put into remission. If you want to get there, don't follow the ADA protocol.

To add, EVERYONE should get their fasting insulin levels checked. Most doctors don't seem to even know what that test is, but it can show diabetes coming a decade before it ever shows up in your blood sugar as "pre" diabetes.
Well done! Happy for you both. :) Magnesium is super important. I am upping my intake quite a bit. I am carnivore and have a continuous glucose monitor I just put on today. It's a bit bonkers right now so first day is a bit of a throw away. 99 - then breakfast up to 128 - then back to 103 - then no food and back to 121 - then back down to 103. Well ok then. LOL. I am a bit OCD so I'm gonna have a hard time ignoring this alarm that keeps going off. It isnt even for a high level so I have to figure that out. Anyway. I dropped my statin because it interferes with tons of things (K2 and CoQ10 production and it causes Diabetes!) and one of my BP meds. Hydrochlorothiazide. A diuretic that is horrible. I am keep my range in a decent place without so far. 116/76 - up to 133/90 sometimes. Not a bad thing really. Normal range used to be 140/90 but the Heart association hijacked that number years ago so more people get prescribed that shit medicine that makes life worse in some cases. I feel way better on Carnivore and my neuropathy is even going away. Inflammation is the other big WIN. All the best!
wow Chris is looking Good😊❤😊
There's videos on KZread from doctors that say fruit breaks down differently than regular sugar items.
thanks for mentioning the fasting to ⬇️ bg🤞🤞🤞
Great video! Anyone have digestive issues on carnivore after gallbladder removal?
I have to do keto for insulin resistance. Too much protein at one time spikes my blood sugar. Did you find that too, Chris? How to get around that?
I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure less than a month ago. I’m extremely over weight and have diabetes along side high blood pressure. I need to regain my health back. I’m hoping the carnivore diet can help me.
What did your doctors think??

@@LauraSpath you welcome ,
I have one diabetic medication. Mentally it gives me an excuse to have a little more carbs. Physically it has stopped my weight loss. But my doctor is happy with my A1c. Bleh! I've no desire to go low car but I know, from experience, it works better than medication.
My husband has type 2 also. He has been doing carnivore for 2 yrs and his blood sugars are going up! This is so frustrating!
Chris…when you stopped Metformin did your Doctor “push-back” or did you just surprise him after the fact? I believe doctor-resistance is as big a problem as insulin resistance. (from UK)
My husband did also ..less 200 pills a month!
