6 Weeks Post ACL Surgery Vlog

In this vlog, see the progression of my knee through weeks 2-6 post ACL surgery. I wanted to show a lot of the exercises and share my thoughts through each week. I hope this helps anyone else going through an injury and recovery process too!

    Aw thank you! Means a lot! Sorry to heart about your knee too. Ik the meniscus added on is even harder. Takes a little bit longer but you'll be back before you know. Glad my video could help though!

    I’m 3 weeks post ACL reconstruction, had my first physio and still trying to get my leg perfectly flat to the floor. Can’t wait to get up and running again. It’s the simple things that you took for granted that hit you hard. Good luck everyone going through the same !!!!

    @@alyssakwhite22 oh, no I've just had 1 injury but it took quite a while to get diagnosed properly. Then I had to be on a waiting list for a couple of months for the surgery. Welcome to UK's beloved NHS!😅

    Got mine in 2 days, snapped my ACL, fractured my Tibia and Femur, tore my MCL and LCL too last June playing football.... NHS tried to fob me off saying nothing was wrong, had to pay for my MRI then go back to the same doctor and watch him panic and make up excuses why he thought my leg was fine!

    I am 14 years old, I am coming from the Netherlands and i tore my ACL and my meniscus at the root. I am so scared, I just want to sport again with al my friends and I am very late with growing, so I am probably on my 18th or 19th done with growing, so only then my knee's are not open anymore. I am getting a rare surgury now, but it's much harder than the normal one... I am so scared

You will get back to playing! Stay strong and feel free to ask any questions!

    Hello just have a few questions if you don't mind answering? did you start cycling in week 1 of your post op rehab? What exercises/program were you given in week 1 I.e was it mainly isometric exercises without any weight? etc

  • @alyssakwhite22

    @alyssakwhite22

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi yeah I don't mind! I didn't start cycling til probably 3ish weeks out because I had some swelling setbacks. I mainly did isometric exercises at first and then you start getting to add weight after the first 3 or so weeks. If your PT has a blood flow restriction machine youll also use that to simulate lifting weight

    What type of acl repair did you do? Did you do a cadaver donor? Or did you do a tendon transfer?

  • @alyssakwhite22

    @alyssakwhite22
