Ijust realised something so profound : some people are like Packing Tape: They are more than they seem to be, jutst like the seemingly humble packing tape, they hide a million hidden talents and uses. These Packing Tape people are right under our noses, waiting to be discovered, yet will only reveal themselves to those truly worthy, appreciative and likewisely valuable. And you, dear Deidre, is utterly the Mother of all Packing Tape people!!!! Do you actually everhave time to vacuum or scrub the kitchen floor??Please tell me you are not even there so fabulously efficient? Somewhere you must have a little weak place????

Awww - I love this so much! Thank you for all the kind compliments. Trust me - I have lots of things I could improve, like everyone haha!
I'm new to Deidre's World and just the dozen or so episodes I've seen I say to myself each time "SHE NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME"!! I will BE SOOOO grateful to get this house sale complete, find my new abode (oh how I DREAD the in between time but keep trying to tell myself to look at it as an "Adventure", (yes, an Adventure of sorts, but NOT what I'm in need of necessarily at at 52 w/health challenges due to MS) anyway, I keep my mind looking forward to the time in months to come, when I'm settled in somewhere new. But anyway my mind's goal that keeps me going is to get SETTLED & start my CRAFTING THERAPY again!! I've been too long without it already and I am mentally focused with my "eye on the Prize" of getting crafty again and Deidre's going to be of an IMMENSE help to me in this area!! Well, break's over for me, for now. Nov 18 is approaching faster than I'm ready for! Wish me being ready on time please! DEIDRE: You're TRULY a GEM! Not just a regular 💎GEM, but a SUPER DUPER SPARKLER OF A 💎GEM! U R♥💞🧡'd by MANY :)

I just watched a video days ago on how to help people who have MS with some sort of weed/herb. I'll leave it here, if I can find it again.

I found one of the ones I was looking for. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqiTl9RyZpqyd84.html 6:36 = teasle on MS He had one with 6-10 pain plants, but I remembered this one. He tells how to make tinctures in other videos he has. I do pray this helps. I have a niece with MS.

I used this for a project, what a great idea! I also used it when i had a thicker paper on the modge podge project and before i removed the paper with water, i did this packing tape hack and it made my paper removal on the board, much easier and faster.

Perfect! I’d have never put 2 & 2 together & come up with that (BTW isn’t it weird that we feel funny about throwing away the back sheet once all the labels are gone - must be something ingrained in our crafter DNA ha!).

@@sheilatillman7962Haha, yes, must be!! I think it's because it's such a unique material, we know there must be a use for it! It would also be handy for finger painting if my kids were younger. 🤔 😊👍

@@megan2176 That’s it! The back-sheet is so unusual, you want to do something with it! I think we crafters (and painters, woodworkers & sculptors too, I guess) always see objects a little differently than the average humanoid. 🪺 Good talking to you. Can’t wait for her next post, right?

@@megan2176 ME TOO on both counts. I have supplies literally everywhere in my little cottage & I’m always looking at objects completely differently in life. Her video topics are wonderful, she gets it over with w/o dragging it out, she gives great advice along the way & she’s easy to follow & understand. Like, where has she been all of my life? Thank you for this wonderful video. ❤Are you able to transfer to stones? What would you use for it to stick on to the stone?
@OurUpcycledLife

You would have to use some thing that was very durable and very strong so I am unsure it’s probably not the best technique to apply to a stone
What???!!! Where have you been all my life!!!!

Great video I used The packing tape on scrapbook paper it worked great but a FYI packing tape from Dollar Tree will not work it doesn’t have enough sticky on it I know cause I tried it. So I went and bought a better quality tape by Scotch by 3M and it worked perfectly.

It is a cd label sheet or address label sheet. Need to be very shiny
Great ideas, and will definitely give them a try. FYI - decoupage is pronounced in the French way; day-coupage, not dee-coupage😉

In Canada sometimes our pronunciations are a little different :)
Is there a way to make the stickers not quite as shiny? Love all your ideas!
@OurUpcycledLife

Yes, if you use a very fine sandpaper like a scuff pad it will take off that glossier top and Buffett down so it has more of a matte finish

Nail file or buffer?
On the larger projects, could we just use clear contact paper? And also, like the way u made labels for ur jars, instead of using them for that purpose, could we decoupage with them?
@OurUpcycledLife
Жыл бұрын
Yes you can use contact paper and def can decoupage with them
If I prnt off a picture on copy paper will it work ? If so which project would work best?
Have you tried these with an ink jet printer? I wonder if sealing them with clear spray paint could make it possible?
@OurUpcycledLife
Жыл бұрын
It will not work with an inkjet printer the ink just rubs right off if you’re trying to do the transfer
Question: waxed paper or parchment? You used both words but is one better than the other for the sticker project?
@OurUpcycledLife
Жыл бұрын
You can use either just make sure if you’re using the wax paper you’re putting them on the waxy side not the paper side
Just wondering…what would it do if you have an inkjet printer and you sealed the paper with a poly acrylic or something? What would that do? Would it allow the process to work or is that a crazy thought?
@OurUpcycledLife
Жыл бұрын
No it won’t work unfortunately
I tried to make a sticker and something went amuck. I used wax paper, I wonder if parchment would be better. I will try again.
@OurUpcycledLife

I find that the tape does stick to the wax paper. I have much better results with parchment paper.
Can you use this technique on a glass that will be washed
