The significance of advisors often goes unrecognized until emotions cloud judgment. I remember a couple of summers ago, during a challenging divorce, when I needed significant assistance to sustain my business. Turning to licensed advisors, I discovered someone highly qualified. Despite inflation, she played a crucial role in boosting my reserves from $275k to $850k.

it's recommended to save at least 15% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings over time. don't think I could retire with less than $3m in income generating investments and i'm not talking 401k, maybe $2m at the very minimum. I plan to work until I'm at least 45.

Interesting content. Is it still advisable to leave idle money in a savings account at an average interest rate of 0.85%? I want a better way to diversify my portfolio and with current inflation, crypto gain taxes are no joke. I also have to ask, due to the current crash in stock prices, housing, and the financial market in general, I would like to know the most efficient way to make my money work for me without falling due to market fluctuations as we are in a bear market. Ngl I've literally been thinking about market turbulence for a year, but then you should try to consult an IA to establish a diversification plan for your portfolio Basically, I just made my first $100,000 in a time of high Fed pivots, you should consider investing in mutual funds like Vanguard, Schwabs, or Fidelity. Crypto is also good because the returns are quite high, but to be on the safe side. Choose stock-based mutual funds

You can search for financewithrobert to connect with him. He is basically a workaholic, I literally have never seen someone so dedicated to working in the same capacity as he is, an actual beast in human flesh if I might say, plus you can literally feel his intense working aura so I'm pretty sure he'd help you get back on the winning path for sure just like me.

You can buy a house with $10,000. As long as it's bought at $200,000 or less and you use an FHA loan. There's some things you would need to know before doing it and it's certainly not for everyone, but you can do it. I bought my first home (which is actually a duplex) at age 23 with around $12,000 as a down-payment. I used an FHA loan, which meant I only had to put down 5%, but the payments were higher, especially because you need to pay mortgage insurance on an FHA. However, a year later the value of it rose high enough to allow me to refinance into a conventional loan with 20% equity. It also gave me a lower interest rate. I know not everyone can do this and I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but it's possible and I think it's worth mentioning as an option.
How about annnuities

The casino analogy is strikingly good. I recall when I was taught the power of law of large numbers in university. The casino doesn't care if you lose big or win big, it only gets worried if you stop playing. The LLN ensures in the long run the casino wins, without a doubt. ETF does not quite get the advantage casino has, but I think it is pretty close. The general upward trend of ETF is not very different from the advantage casino can set for itself to ensure LLN takes over. This advantage, no matter how small it is every single day, or week, or month, will make the difference most people don't expect for the long run.

I got out my clients out of the markets 18 months ago and I switched them into senior secured, asset backed corporate bonds. One-year options pay 10% fixed, 2-year terms pay 11%, and 3-year terms pay 12%. My clients are much happier with this option rather than second guessing the markets. Market volatility is going to be around for a while and it´s probably going to get worse before it gets better. Client´s money is segregated and held in custody with Pershing. (43 trillion under administration).
What is the difference between investing a large chunk all at once and leaving it, vs investing bit by bit over time?

do you recommend investing on a roth 401k?
Great video. Straight to the point with no fluff. I don't spend a lot of money on individual stocks as well, save for blue chip companies like Pepsi. I did get lucky with Tesla though because I bought a good amount of it before it skyrocketed in 2020.
What ETF is better to buy: VOO or SCHD? And what percentage of portfolio?
Beautiful and well explained. As a foreigner staying in America and given the times, would it be better to go into number 3 (real estates) or number 6 (stocks). I have been confused on the better option and where and how to go about this. Can't seem to find the most appropriate and of utmost importance is also a less time intensive option.

Why not both? With the present economy, you should never forget to diversify. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. As one who has been into Real Estates for as long as I can remember, I made my first million earlier this year from stocks alone (got the services of an expert because I also have time constraints). I also experiment with a couple of other things. Hard to imagine that I had initially refused to try out new possibilities. Good luck.

What about High Interest Saving Accounts??
Great video Humphrey! Question regarding paying off debt as a priority. You mentioned car loans etc in the group of loans that can have rates in 8-10% or more. Would you recommend paying off a car note as a priority if you’ve got a much more sound rate, like 5-6%? As opposed to just putting it in the index in an IRA or something. Thanks for all of your advice over the last year or two of videos, I wouldn’t even have a 5% car loan if not for setting myself up and your advice made a huge difference!

What about high yield savings account??
Advice. If you are hoping to buy stocks, wait until early March to mid March to load as people dump for tax and options expiration. Made decent change following the trend.

My company offers a Roth 401k. Is this a good idea or not? If I use it, do I need to bother with a separate Roth IRA account?
In the US can one have both a Roth IRA as well as a 401k? When watching videos like this I always hear people say to get one or the other. I live in the UK and here I can have both a workplace pension (401k equivalent) and an ISA (IRA equivalent).
Time to make another one for 2024 😉

Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.
