My friends would ask me finance questions all the time, so I made this channel so I could send them videos answering those questions. I love explaining things simply, and making it fun and easy. This channel is great for beginners and intermediates who are looking to build wealth, learn how to keep their wealth, and get better with personal finance, budgeting, and investing. I also focus a lot of self improvement and productivity, so if you're into that - I hope you stick around!

Isnt a dividend just a forced sale of a portion of you holding because the price drops by the same ammout as the dividen once its declared. Id rather just sell the amount that i want to realize
I have Roth IRA and sold indexed funds that I held for more than 2 years to buy individual stocks in my ROTH IRA, would I pay taxes on the gains I have in my indexed funds that I sold? thanks
Awesome video man wow
Awesome video Humphreys 🎉
As someone gets older and needs to start buying bonds. Any ideas on best bond funds/ETF’s?
Have VTI, VGT, VYM...currently 31 years old and doing full time and earning 40+k at the moment. Also have 2 seperate HYSA with 4+% APY in both. I believe I'm doing better but yea i understand i can have more. Just doing it as best as possible trying to learn as best i can.
The best ETF to own for life are VTI, QQQ, SCHD
I’m American and I learned a lot of the same principles as a kid.
13x a year for 15 products? For a whole month, 15 products?
I would've spilled that drink talking with my hands like that lol, keep it up Humphrey
I invested in the Vanguard S & P 500 via Trading 212 app as SIP $ 500 monthly.. no $ 3000 minimim.. maybe thats the ETF version then.. ?
🤡
Eat rice everyday. Cheap food. 😅
Did I miss it or did you completely skip the interest rate on the lease? Its 9%. That's the reason the lease is more - seems important to mention.
Thank you for your video🔥🔥🔥
Humphrey, thank you always for your valuable insights. Could you make a video on backdoor roth ira? I watched a few videos others made, and I've been getting mixed messages. Some ppl say it's the easiest thing in the world. Some say it's going to trigger taxes and just not worth it. Currently I have a rollover IRA acct which I've been contributing to annually. It'd be nice to grow money tax free by roth but doing it traditionally roght now due to bracket.
42 with $4.5M saved as of today
I meet all 4. I just now want to save more.
Remember folks, there are people who go from being in huge debt to being multimillionaires in a few years. Never give up.
VOO & chill foo
lets go!
Personally, I love Vanguard’s Large Cap Growth ETF (VUG). 5 years average return at about 25% and is heavy in tech companies that will be around a long time.
also a great one.
These comment bots are getting out of hand.
Sorry, we try to limit them and also filter them but they pop up all the time
4:58 you misspoke and meant to say $3.20. Thanks for the video!
thank you for that, didnt realize that
Great information I currently have VOO in one account and SPLG in another account. They both have low expense ratios. Is one better than the other in your experience?
Honestly both of those are great
Does it make sense to hold several types on Index funds in different accounts? For example if you have a Roth IRA and a standard Brokerage account, would it be beneficial to have shares of one individual type in both accounts or have different types of index funds in each account?
A great automobile is a necessity and is a needed tool for making money (driving to work); and is also used for recreational activities. In general, most people need an automobile whether you like it or not. I buy Toyota and drive for twenty years average Toyota Supra 1985-2008. Toyota Sienna 2005-2024. They both had been driven past 300K miles with only minor repairs and still got good value at parting time.
What about the general ETF SPY?
also great
What do the charts look like if instead of missing the best days, you miss the worse days?
I'm split between VTSAX and VTMGX to capture the US and international markets. I like the set it and forget it strategy you espoused.
Ridiculous I hate new car prices
same.
How about FXAIX?
FXAIX is great, its the equivalent of the other 500 Index funds. Sorry I didnt mention it in the video
And yet, the media and politicians say the economy is doing fine.
No love for FXAIX

Working to be on track
What are your guys thoughts on the Schwab indexes? I am wanting to move my Roth from Edward Jones to Schwab and have a portfolio consisting of SWPPX, SWISX, and SWAGX
I am not on track.
Pay the house off. Not math deal
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my entire life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Charlotte Miller.
The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received $5500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Charlotte Miller, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families I'm United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I just withdrew my profits a week ago, To be honest it was an amazing feeling when the profits hits my wallet I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills
You work for a 40yrs to have $1m in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10k in a bitcion coin for just fe months and now they are multimillionaires thanks to Charlotte Grace Miller

I agree with you that compared to actual index funds, the zero funds are meh (trusting Fidelity's ability to simulate with minimal drift, portability of holdings should one wish to switch to another institution, etc.). However, why not do a like to like comparison? E.g., what is your opinion of FXAIX as compared to VFIAX? Also, for those who have more than the various minimums, I have yet to hear a comprehensive walk-through of the differences between index funds, their ETF equivalents, and why/if one should stay with one type or the other should one wish to. Yes, you can trade and ETF at any time of the market's day... but for long term holders -- not traders -- that shouldn't matter much, right? Are there tax advantages or tracking advantages that one has over the other?
Hi Humphrey can we use simple compounding calculator to calculate our expected returns over a period of time?
More than on track.. 😊
I recently sold some of my NVDA stock to secure profits, but I'm retaining a portion for the long term. Nvidia's growth potential remains robust. I'm considering diversifying my 6-figure portfolio, but I'm uncertain about managing risks in my next move.
Everyone needs a Margin of Safety in their portfolios and just remember, It's time in the market versus timing the market.
I believe a healthy portfolio has 3 things, at the bare minimum: Exposure to ETFs for increased diversification, Exposure to assets that generate cash flow like dividend stocks, Exposure to market-leading tech.
While balancing your portfolio allocations, de-risk your investments, support your core holdings, and take some gains. Even managed portfolios don't always perform as well as I would advise, so it's essential to get the advice of a qualified fiduciary; my spouse and I find that this works for us. Net of dividends, we have had over 80% capital growth.
I'm intrigued by this. I've searched for financial advisors online but it's kind of hard to get in touch with one. Okay if I ask you for a recommendation?
‘Dianne Sarah Olson’ is the licensed advisor I use. Just search the name. You’d find her webpage and necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.
My portfolio doesn’t just cater to dividend stocks. I hold $VFIAX (S&P 500 index fund) in my Roth IRA and $VTI (Total Stock Market ETF) in my taxable brokerage account. Two of my largest holdings. The individual dividend stock positions all complement the index holdings.
Diversifying with $VFIAX and $VTI is smart. It’s financial independence, not dependency, that truly empowers.
If you lack market knowledge, your best bet is to seek advice or support from a consultant or investing coach. Contacting a consultant may sound simple, but it's how I've managed to stay afloat in the market and increase my portfolio to roughly 60% early this year. It is, in my opinion, the best way to get started in the industry right now.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financlal future and am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?
Lucia Alicia Cruz is my FA, simply do due diligence . You'd find necessary details online to work with and set up an appointment.
Wow, her track record looks really good from what I found online. I'll take a chance and see how it goes. Thanks for the info
I’ve read that FXAIX from Fidelity is good. Is this true?
FXAIX is great, its the equivalent of the other 500 Index funds. Sorry I didnt mention it in the video
Great video. I'll look more into this. I've done really well with Short Squeezes in 2020. In 2020, I made the most in stocks. What do think of Short Squeezes? I know they're very risky but I've done well in them.
Very much not on track, but I didn’t get started until 40, so I am kicking @ss and taking names to get on track! Never too late to start.
Question I’m with fidelity and I use FXAIX (mutual fund for s&p 500), but how is that different from Fidelity ZERO?? Just the fee?
