FAUX LOC FAQ
Q: How long does it last?
A: Faux locs using the Jazz Nicole Method can last up to 8 weeks. However the recommended time is 4-6 weeks for protective styles.
Q: How can I wash it/ take care of it?
A: Please check out my Faux Loc Maintenance Video Here: • Video
Q: How do I remove it?
A: Please Refer to these removal videos:
• Video
• Video
Q: Can I go swimming in these?
A: Yes.
Q: Can this work on long hair?
A: Yes. ( but your hair can not be longer than the locs you use )
Q: How do you moisturize your hair with this style in?
A: Before braiding my hair for this style I moisture my hair thoroughly with Shea Moisture lo porosity leave-in detangler go.magik.ly/ml/2v2f/
I use Jamaican black castor oil on my roots and my scalp every other night go.magik.ly/ml/27iu/
Q: How do you part your hair?
A: I just part it. I start in the back and I just feel my way around. I don’t stress about trying to make my parts straight or perfectly even. I may make a video in the future but I really don’t have any other tips to give regarding this.
Q: How long does this take?
A: every style takes a different amount of time. It all depends on the amount of locs and sections. 4-6 hours is usually the standard.
Q: I'm ruining into some issues when doing the individual crochet method. Can you help me?
A: Please refer to this video: • Video
Q: Why are people stealing your method and claiming it as their own?
A: Not sure why people have to be so dirty in the KZread world. However, with the help of my supporters, we can spread #jazznicolemethod and give proper credit when recreating my techniques. That would be greatly appreciated.

Hey lady, I'm new to your channel. This video is a great tutorial. Number 4 is my favorite method. I can't wait to try this. I used to do sew-ins regularly. But it gets costly. I need to start protective styling again. However when I go on vacation I would do box braids about a week or 2 before so they weren't so tight and felt heavy by the time I was actually on vacation. This looks like something that will work and cover all my issues with protective styling across the board. There is light at the end of the tunnel lol. 😄😊

The knotless method is my favorite! With having carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands with a splint on my left and my dominant right hand the surgery failed, leaving me with a keloid scar at the base of my palm that is super painful. It lets me braid 1/3 down and twist. When my hands hurt, I can stop, and restart later. It's easier to do of the back of my head too! TY!

OK I had to come back to this video a month after watching it the first time. My hair is gray and black and the gray locs look amazing on my hair. The issue was not all of my hair was gray so covering the ends was harder and then my locs are not really hollow so a few were messed up and there were gaps revealing my own hair color. I received so many compliments even with the mistakes and I wore them for 3 weeks (compliments all day er day...). When I watche this vid the first time I was just perusing...so now ff to rewatching this method... 5 & 6 saved me some serious time because my hair is long and I didn't know what to do with those friggin gaps and had to keep redoing the dang braids...I'm going to destroy a few wrap and carry on! ...LOVE THIS VIDEO! Thank you!!
