Does people forget that you can trigger the catch-event from very far away? You don't actually have to stand in the middle of the highway to catch it. And if you are on a dangerous place, trigger the event, then move to safety and THEN catch it.

That actually wasn't a totally useless tip. Not everyone knows about how the eggs, lures, and incense work in real time. So if the game crashes a lot for you, it'd be wise not to use them until it's been running properly for a while

If you have lots of Pidgey candy you should stack up on some Pidgeys and turn on lucky egg and evolve all of them. It doesn't take a lot of candy and stardust to evolve them so you get a ton of XP

Don't ditch the pidgeys'!! Have as many as possible, get the fucking candy for catching them, use lucky egg and evolve all of them (If you have enough candy). I earned about 20.000 exp today by doing that.

no he basically told you to just transfer them and then sit on your mountain of pidgey candies until you get a pidgeot, you should just do it to pidgeotto then release it for maximum xp per candy

yeah that point about ditching pidgey is extremely inaccurate as, yes you do gain candy, but you forego the ability to gain massive exp. the video doesn't elaborate on that, though, caterpie and weedle are far better to use.

don't transfer all your pidgey either. save them up. Evolve them once while your lucky egg is active then transfer them. You will get a ton of XP.

Yep I've heard reports of pedo's using lures on secluded locations and other crap. Best thing to do is report Dangerous Pokestops and Gyms to Niantic for removal. Please note this includes Fire stations / Police Departments / Hospitals and Accident and Medical Centre's / Government buildings etc. The people who work in the above locations have serious jobs to do , they don't need people getting in the way of them doing that. FYI I also mean you shouldn't be going into these places to catch pokemon also.

It's from a movie called Airplane! and it has to be literally one of the most consistently funny movies of all time. Every time you watch it, you pick up on new gags you didn't catch the first time. I seriously recommend it :)

I typically continue catching Pidgey because they're easy to catch, and are a quick, cheap way to evolve and get XP. That is, when you have a lucky egg handy. Pidgey only needs 12 candies for evolution.

That thing with the Pidgeys is actually a pretty neat exploit you can use to level up really fast. It also applies to Weedles.

Luckily I live in one of the most safest places in the world, so I can be out at night. However, not even here it 100 % safe....

also in the case of the pidgey since they're easy to evolve don't transfer them to the prof unless you ran out of candies so that you can evolve the rest into pidgyotto and get a lot of xp

I live in Norwich, England and I don't know about anywhere else but there's so many fucking Drowzees in the city. More than Pidgeys. I have about 5 Hypnos and always end up with at least 10 Drowzees by the time I'm finished playing. Almost every gym is filled with fucking Hypnos

I live in America and I've had the game since it came out- i haven't seen a single drowzee or hypno where i live. There's a lot of eevees though. Almost every gym has an eeveelution. don't know if its like that everywhere

my first tip: if you have a fast smarthphone, save up your lucky egg until you have like 70 evolves ready because if you don't do that, you end up having more time and you can't do anything with the lucky egg.

evolve as many pidgeys as u cab while u use a lucky egg dont get rid of all of then pidgey cost the least to evolve and is easy to get a lot farm them and candy then evolve them all one time with an active lucky egg for lots of xp

Why do people leave before their lure modules are up? I mean, I can understand leaving if there are a couple of minutes left and you don't want to be late to something, but in my city it seems to be rare to see people near the pokestop when the lure is almost up. Most of the time I will visit a pokestop when someone else has activated a lure module, and I'll be the only one there for the last 10 minutes of the lure being active (of course, people will come and go, but not whoever originally activated it).

Maybe. I live in a small city and the pokestops can sometimes be outdoors with no buildings around, but there is a stop with houses next to it.

I pokedrive all the time.. i hit 20 spots in 5 minutes.. its great..

There are only a few gyms and a few PokeStops around me at all. It sucks bigtime... :/

You should stack up lots of Pidgeys and Weedles then pop a lucky egg to rake in loads of xp when you evolve them

Don't get rid of all your extra Pidgey. The quickest way to lvl up is to evolve multiple pidgey (or weedle/caterpie/any other low cost to evolve pokemon) during your lucky egg time.

you need to SAVE STARDUST! we have barely scratched the surface of this game (in terms of maxing out pokemon) the cost of power ups are going to be HUGE! I wont be surprised if powering up a pokemon at level 80 would cost around 20k+ stardust. the strongest pokemon i have atm cost about 2500 which is like a level 40(tops),which means 60 more levels to go! each one harder then the previous! And i can only get to those levels by leveling up my player who can get to a max level of 50, which means every player level is going to be getting harder and harder as well! my fellow trainers...the grind has yet to begin!

143 is your combat power. when i talk about levels its based on the cost of stardust per upgrade. levels 1-4 cost 200 stardust 5-8 cost 400 stardust 9-12 cost 600 stardust 13-16 cost 800 stardust 17-20 cost 1000 stardust (+ 1 treat) 21-24 cost 1300 stardust 25-28 cost 1600 stardust 29-32 cost 1900 stardust 33-36 cost 2200 stardust 37-40 cost 2500 stardust (+2 treats)

get rid of them until you get like 200 candies, then catch all, and evolve them. play a lucky egg if you can. easily get 1 to 2 levels

i can drive and catch :3 on the bus :3 the driver will get me there safely

Nice little tip I just learned today: when you get a ton of pidgeys and a ton of pidgey candy, evolve the pidgeys while you have a lucky egg on and you'll earn lots and lots of xp. If you do it that way you;ll get 1000 xp for every pidgey.

Am I the only one who didn't know ag ment augmented reality, I thought it ment actual reality 😂

I have little sympathy for people injured if they were playing Pokemon Go while in a moving car.

If you ever capture a Pokemon in your Poke Ball, and the Poke Ball doesn't wiggle like it's supposed to, but the leaves are still drifting in the background, try looking at the white spinning icon in the top-left corner. WAIT until that stops spinning and disappears, close and re-open the app to see if you've caught it.

Sometimes I just have it on when I'm stuck in traffic and the game will think I'm walking. Then the eggs are halfway done :P

The same people who play Pokemon Go are the same one who make fun of me for still playing real Pokemon Games like Red and Blue

roles have swapped haven't they. lol. but technically, pokemon go would be the real pokemon game. like ash ketchum, you're actually leaving your house to catch pokemon. Red and Blue then becomes the not so real game as you're just sitting in your room mashing buttons. No disrespect to the original games though, I am playing through them now too (when I for some reason can't get out to play PoGo.

Avoid powering up certain pokemon, especially when you're low level. Chances are high that you will find the same pokemon again but with stronger CP so save the best of each one to evolve/power up when you're ready. If you have a lot of candy for a specific type, save more than one to evolve for the extra xp

Give away your Pidgies? Seriously? You guys aren’t keeping up with the metagame. Pidgies are the absolute fastest way to level up if you evolve them before transfering them. If you simply evolve every 3rd or 4th Pidgy, you get tons of xp. Works like this: Pidgies only cost 12 candy to evolve. You get 3 or 4 candies whenever you catch one. Evolving always gives 500 xp (not considering lucky eggs), so it’s cheap xp.

You should actually save all your pidgeys and any other common pokemon requiring 12 candies to evolve. That way you you pop a lucky egg you can mass evolve them all. 10 pidgeys is 10k exp

the transfer tip is not a very good one, you can transfer some but at later levels it's very efficient to activate a lucky egg and mass evolve them all for 1000xp each

+Aidan Ratnage they need to be decent level but you can leave extra pokemon at gyms of the same team. once per 20 hours you can claim a reward, but you can do it right after you leave a pokemon. So go donate your highest level pokemon at an affiliated gym, go to the shop menu and click the rewards button.

I love pidgeys, rattatas, weedles and caterpies. They make great XP for evolving with a lucky egg. I have been able to evolve 73 pokemon in 30 minutes. I am not wasting my time powering up any pokemon until I am higher level. Right now my goal is to level up. So "ditching the pidgeys" could cost some serious xp. I usually have 40 or so pidgeys that I can evolve every 3 days as well as the others mentioned with about 10 or so less common pokemon. For those who don't have money to get lucky eggs, get on a gym and collect your bonus of 10 coins. That is what we do for our kids. My youngest has already been able to upgrade his backpack storage and is on his way to getting a lucky egg.

dont evolve anything until quite a while after youve powered it up quite a bit. it levels with you as you level up so wait for a while until you actually evolve it

i would say keep those pidgeys and evolve a bunch of them along with weedles and caterpies while you have a lucky egg active

Avoid playing pokemon go should be at the top of the list... -.-

Well, I haven't had the easiest time getting lucky eggs and having enough candy at the same time. And I already evolved one pokemon with out a lucky egg because I didn't realize I should have it but, I will keep thank in mind thanks loop.

a couple changes to the game that need annotations: 1.) Lures now last for upwards of an hour despite the half-hour description. 2.) You *cannot* catch pokemon, use pokestops, or see sightings at speeds faster than 22mph (just a bit above the average bicyclist speed)
