I have a Ford Explorer 2014 Sport with 130,000 miles. This video has been incredibly helpful, it checked all the symptom boxes I have been experiencing with the exception of the the last three. I had an engine misfire almost a year ago, they replaced the plug and cleared the codes but I think they missed this as a root cause when they cleared the codes. No codes right now but I have many of these symptoms. Going to look into doing this myself or having a local shop just replace all four.

Your a great micanic, thanks for pointing out everything. I have a ticking in my engine, it's 2014 Town and Country Van. I think it the lifter. I scanned the engine and it said cadlic converter need to be replace, and then it said sensor 1 PO 420, bank 1, and sensor bank 2 PO 430 needed to be replaced. Should you replace all 4 of them? When I start it up, I get the lights on the dash to light up like a christmas tree. Speacily when it's cold out and rainy, Not sure what that could be. But it's starting to drive me into det, lol Do you have any idea's???

I have a large 2017 Mustang with intake supercharger and the code p0308 is not removed I change spark plugs and coils but I have not fixed on the oxygen sensor glaze the check engine light that I can do

Did you check fuel injectors as well? Also see harness connectors of coils

I had a p0171 code. I changed fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, cleaned and made sure injectors were working, fixed and changed pcv values and hoses. Spark plugs, and the coil... Only thing left is o2 sensors..

Make sure to check throttle body and vacuum leaks as well

2002 Silverado 4.8L engine has the engine light blinking once the speed is over 25 mph, accompanying with heavy gas smell & rough idle. I changed all 8 spark plugs, evap canister, 1 fuel injector ( that I thought might be the problem, cylinder 6) & fuel filter. And still the same. So now it’s at the mechanic’s because I feel I’m doing the cannon parts on it & still no change. Maybe it was the 02 sensor? It was spitting out codes P0174 & P0300

Did you check ignition coils? Also inspect fuel pressure regulator. I would also recommend performing cylinders compression test.

Will the 02 sensor cause automatic car to shift poorly in drive and reverse? Thank you for your help!

Could be several causes. First start with throttle body and spark plugs condition

I have all these symptoms in my Crown Victoria 5.0 V8. No trouble codes showing and car is vackfiring.

I have a ford focus 1.5 Ecoboost it been brakedown for a year now. It starting and idle good but after 5 to 10 minutes its shows an oil light then start to idlen rough but i have change the oil pump,water pump, fuel pressure pump but still it does the same problem so can the oxygen sensor cause that?

Did you check oil pressure sensor? Are you using oil of correct viscosity?

I got a 2003 Grand Marquis with a 4.6l and it keeps giving me a code of po113 i changed the Mass air flow sensor but the check engine light is still on could it be the 02 sensor

It’s intake air temperature sensor

Am having Toyota Corolla 2004 model any time i started it u could hear abig sound coming from the exhaust like firing gun immediately u that sound comes out the engine goes off and have difficulty start too i hv changed the plugs.

It means that you have too much lean mixture or issue with valve timing

It is better to fix the issue. Turning off check engine light won’t help

If oxygen sensor is loose, it can. But it has nothing to do with malfunctioning sensor

You should test voltage output of oxygen sensor. Also inspect its connector

P0302 means misfire in second cylinder

My car idles mostly fine. Sometimes rpms dip a little. When i come to a stop id say 15% of the time my car shuts off. It doesnt shut off at idle, only when comming to a stop at a slow moving speed. Code says oxygen sensor or catalytic converter or exaust leak. Check engine light will come on for a week then go away for a few weeks. Would u say oxygen sensor has best odds? Also no weird smells from exaust. 1 time a year ago it was rich kinda like fumes from spray paint or primer, and idled pretty rough but never happened again. Like never

You should first test both oxygen sensors. Then inspect if there are any exhaust leaks before or after catalytic converter.
