Thanks for the video, Roger! Just so others are aware, their faucet (like mine) may be different. I was prepared to replace the spring and washer, but turns out my 2-handle faucet was different. It deployed screw-on brass valve stems that had a size 0 rubber washer that was held on at the bottom with a Phillips screw. Also an easy repair, but just a different configuration.

Well THAT sure worked out perfectly! Lol! Were they ALL this simple & accessible! Lol I think you missed one of the most important steps: Step 0: COVER/PLUG the DRAIN(S) in case you drop a screw/washer/spring etc. into the sink and it rolls down the drain (as you curse in slow-motion!)

Hey Roger, With so many differant types/brands of faucet, do you have to take the cartridge out to referance what to go buy? Or are they basic and easy enough to find whereas a guy could not have to make 2 trips and have the homeowner be without water How about making sure your basket strainers are in? Removing the airiater also not a bad idea and being prepared to replace bad shut-off valves. In advance.

I'm still struggling with a kitchen and lavatory slow leak on faucets. I've taken them apart and replaced the spring/rubber. Sounds like I'll have to replace the cartridge next to fix it.

Hello Roger. I was not able to find an email address or a way to contact you other than left a KZread comment. Regardless I was wondering if you could help me prepare for an interview I have coming up with my local plumbers and pipefitters union. I love your videos so much it has inspired me to pursue a career in plumbing and hopefully one day become a master plumber and be able to teach younger generations.

Mine didn't have a spring or rubber washer under the cartridge. Spent the last 30 min trying to find it till I realized it wasn't there. Turns out they don't all have one. Would have been nice to know for anyone with similar issue 👍🏻

Roger I hired a plumber who uses shark bites because he said he didn't want to start a fire in the wall, but he turned out to be the WORST plumber in the country. He flooded my basement, ruined my shower plumbing, horrible finish work. Nightmare experience.
