Well, now I know that you throw whatever products you want on here without doing any research. Good to know that I'm not going to be missing anything really important now.

3:20 They cost nothing to run, but, eventually, the storage battery will become useless. Then?

Then you either rejuvenate the battery you have, or you replace it. You can replace it with the newest technology available if you would like. With hydropower you don't need much battery if at all anyway. Either way renewable energy is much more reliable, pollution-free, and less expensive overall than to hire thousands of people to lobby the government (bribe officials) in order to get them to allow the destruction of complete mountains (MTR) and other areas to mine for coal, transport it thousands of miles, grind it into a very fine powder, just to burn it and turn it into air, ground, and water pollution oh, and some electricity too. Sure there are challenges in all systems, but they can be overcome. Take the words of the naysayers on radio, and the TV with their carefully scripted remarks with a grain of salt. They are paid a lot by the entrenched energy providers who know what will happen to their industry once people understand that we don't need them anymore.

Chinook Solar Air Heater makes little sense. The same can be achieved with a well isolated, south-facing window ;)

However heat lose at night from that window negates most heat gains.

Actually, a window alone will not collect that much energy -- unless you put a similar black collector behind it. To me, the fact it only works in full sunlight makes it much less valuable. (at night, when the sun is down, is when I need the most heat.)

@@jfbeam Your statement doesn't seem to go along with thermodynamics. The light comes in and it has some energy. Unless the light escapes the building through the window, it stays inside. It would reflect and leave the heat on various elements, but ther is no need to have something black as long as the mifbr is not directly reflected back through the windows in the house. The energy can't just disappear...

  • @jfbeam

@@valdius85 Oh but it does. Unless your house is a "black body", not all of the light will be absorbed. The mere fact that you can stand outside that window and see what's inside is simple enough proof light is escaping. Paint the inside of the box black, and a great deal more light energy will be absorbed. (simple enough grade school science experiment... build a small OSB box with a plate glass window side, set it in the sun and see how hot it gets -- and how quickly. then paint the interior flat black and do it again. the black box _will_ get hotter, and faster. Or even simpler "adult" analog... two cars, one with a black interior and one with a lighter interior... black cars get d*** hot in the sun.)

This CGS has to be THE MOST convoluted asinine titling and number naming for video in all of KZread. Of course this also evidences how ones minds works and its ability to sort, identify and name. I download then watch these later. All I can say is I hope I am at the end of ever having to try and make sense of what goes with what at CGS.
