Sometimes I use the front kick fake just to get space or move off to an angle. The fake normally gets a good reaction off of people especially when you already threw an actual front kick

Love hearing same side front kick feint to hook, both body or head on the list. Never hurts to hear your heads in the right place.

Mike Zambidis used the slide fake a lot to close the distance.

Love the detail for the feint with showing the ball of the foot. Was a bit surprise you dint mention the fake teep to superman punch. This one flows very well for me, the raising of the leg been part of the movement of the superman punch, it makes it even harder to anticipate. The only difficulty people may have with it, is that you land on your switch stance.

Gabe your easily one of the best martial arts KZreadrs out there. Hard2hurt is really funny and entertaining as well as very informative, but your channel is in my opinion much more informative and technical. Please keep posting technique videos it’s improved my striking significantly. Also, do you plan on competing in Karate Combat again?

Thanx for the 'show them the bottom of your foot' tip... it increased the effectiveness of my feint-kicks by a noticeable margin overnight. I think I'm at the level where my opponents are learning to detect feints, and not take the bait. I'm starting to catch on too... I wasn't consciously aware of what specific details I was picking up on ie. seeing the bottom of the foot... IDK but either way it was very effective in the gym last night so I had to come back to thank you.

A fake or faint should always lead to an attack or when i use to sparr, today maybe the fighters are better and not easily set up with fake.

Awesome content, i had already figured out some things to do after faking a teep but this video just gave me so many more idea. Other options would be the Thai hop (shown in the video) followed by hand traps and either elbow or hook, or a more diagonal thai hop to a spinning back elbow (or fist) haggerty style

  • @jkdfighter4964

@@theshapetv9203 Technically, it dont really matter bro. However, if you look at the economy of motion principle which will save you time, effort, and distance, with the front kick it may be slightly weaker but it'll hit faster and if you train it hard you can develop a lot of power from a lead leg kick. Lead leg kicks are massively underrated.

I like the 'show your sole' tip to get a better reaction! I can see how that would work. GSP also had a tip to fake the front kick to the nuts for a better reaction. Nut kick is illegal, so who's going to expect a fake nut kick haha

Nutrition, focus on maximizing natural T levels, keep training, try your best to keep up with younger guys to give you a goal to reach. Try to find time to naturally include your training into your routine and life with kids + work etc. Quick tip, anytime there’s an ad on KZread or the TV, do a set of push-ups, sit ups, plank or squat for the duration of the ads. They will add up

One day soon we'll be able to type 'ChatGPT, please find me a few real fight examples on youtube of Gabriel's combos he mentioned in this video'. Can't say I've seen much of these in use, but I haven't even seen 1% of fights that exist for viewin either. But I do believe deception is the greatest art of war

If you wanna know if these work in a real fight practice them then do it in sparring against opponents around your skill level or better. If you don’t know if it works or not, don’t wait for others to just confirm it for you. Find out.

I use front kicks alot but almost exclusively from my rear leg. For some reason I can't really throw 1 that counts from my lead side. Any tips

  • @fishinforfun3359

Personally, my lead side is truly a teep. I almost lift my leg straight and push out with just the hip. My rear leg is that snap kick that could hit a face, although I don’t really use it like that much. Long story short, maybe consider your lead leg as that distance managing teep instead of a power shot.

I have been having a lot of success with this strategy during sparring recently. After I establish the teep and get my opponents timing it opens up the punches and kicks for me. Great video Gabriel
