Chael should not be allowed to talk, that steroid-strained voice, the pauses and hand motions like everything he has to say is important(it never is). Fighters are good at fighting, not talking, in fact, they are usually exceptionally dumb.

Big Jon McCarthy is the guy who literally helped write the UFC rule book and he shut this ridiculous reaching BS down by DC and Chael. Said Herb Dean was 100% Correct in the whole fight, Pereira was the fouled fighter, and per UFC rules, controls the length of time, If any taken for the groin shot. They literally nodded at each other, start hand fighting, touch and release 3 times, then on the 4th touch, Hill throws a slow left cross that gets countered right in the middle of his strike, as Pereira slips the left cross. ☝️🤔

Cracked me up how Oliveira was going to go on a losing skid, beat by Chandler and Poirier in rematches and get Fergusoned, right after Islam, then he was going to beat Islam and reclaim the belt after heeming Dariush, now he's finished again after a razor thin, arguable win against the best up and coming 155er who people now say is Islam's biggest threat after Oliveira battered Dariush. Very funny to see the instant delusion.

When a fighter's ego takes over and they're desperate to get back in there and redeem themselves, it's a dangerous game. There's no way his brain has fully recovered after a big KO and a hundred Pereira hammer fists. If Rountree flatlines him, he'll be out of the game for a year at least unless he's literally trying to turn his brain into Swiss cheese.

Absolutely the best response by Jamahal, fall off the horse and get straight back on, no messing around. Inactivity is the worst thing for fighters. Also Guru makes a very good point that if Jamahal had survived that sequence and made it through, nobody would be focusing on the damage he took, it's only because it resulted in a loss. People are trashing Hill too much when he was never disrespectful, he was just trying to sell the fight.

I appreciate that Guru tries hard to remain unbiased analytically even when it comes to fighters he really likes/dislikes, it’s why I can’t stand corporate mma media/journalists, it always appears that they make excuses or whatever whenever they get the chance

The Ref ruined that Hill vs Pereira fight. I don't consider it a legit win.

Bullshit. If Hill got the Ko, would you say the same thing? Is it was 10 seconds later? Refs intervene all the time, it's part of the sport, it's not an excuse.

@@JOHNfuknRAMBO Nah. The ref rushed in and distracted both and Pereira was able to put his hand up and what occurred was likely going to be a short stoppage which then didn't occur due to Pereira. The ref was indecisive and allowed Pereira to override him. Hill was essentially sucker-punched while being distracted. Big Pereira fan but this didn't feel like a legit win. A ref needs to make a decisive move and can't drag things like that out... Can't be politically correct about it, it is what it is.

Weight cut definitely effects the chin. Cerebral fluid takes up to 48 hours to restore fully when severely dehydrated. But higher weights hit harder so it really just depends on the opponent.

I think dehydration is can make you more suseptible to long term CTE if your brain isn't fully hydrated it could cause the brain to crash around more when punched
