So one thing I can count on is how well these bullets and accurate they are in every rifle. These things are accurate and shoot amazing. I'm running them in my 270win 130s and 150s on whitetails out to 300 yards. However I have a friend who took an axis buck with the 150s in a 270 out to 426yards, dropped in its tracks.

Thank you. Appreciate the content. I have handloaded hundreds of 150s in my 7mm Rem. Mags over the years. I have mainly used IMR4831(60.0g) and IMR4350(58.5 & 60.0) but some IMR4064(?). I have never hunted with them. I typically use them for practice on fundamentals, load development, "plinking" and range time with friends.

Amazing content I was looking for 30-06 swift scirrico expansion tests found your channel will be watching lots of your videos. Only thing I can suggest is adding clear ballistic gel but that's expensive I know that. Just a suggestion. Water gives a,repeatable media none the less. 🎉

I'm my 50 yr of hunting I've used green box in 243 100 gr. 30/30 170 270 130 even 7mm and 30.06 in 150 gr. From distance 30 yrs to 300 never a fail animals never ran more than 40 yards...they just work.

I love using this very bullet (180 grn. version) in my Tikka t-3 chambered in 300 WSM for deer and elk. I do tend to keep all my shots within 400 yards due to the terrain I hunt in. I know it's a bit like running cheap tires on a new high-performance vehicle, but it simply works.... every time. I've never once had this combination fail me, so why would I spend significantly more per reloaded round with a "super-performance" bullet. The best case scenario would be the same result.

I have a bergara in 6.5 creedmoor and a tikka in 30-06. Both shoot core lokt sub moa. It’s good, reliable, and inexpensive

Used it many times in 30.06, 180 PSP within 100 yds. Never lost an animal and "tracking" was usually 15-30 yds at the most.

I run those in my 260 Rem. They just work

How did the core fall apart at 400 but it stayed together at 300 and 500

The 400 yard video seemed to show the bullet enter midway into the array of jugs. I wonder if this odd angle caused some sort of destabilization/tumble, that resulted in the odd case separation? I'm the farthest thing from an expert, but I can't help but feel the 400 yard result was an anomaly. Thank you!

"Deadliest mushroom in the woods" would it be fair to include penetration depth? I know water is a tough test, but how many jugs they pen have to count for something. Would be interesting to see the difference in caliber/grain/velocity

Ya its just tough to get an accurate measure, I agree with you though, penetration depth is important. Measuring it is one area where the ballistic gel folks have us beat.

🛑🛑 Guys…I know you worked over the Accubond Bullet in 4 videos, however I would like to see your results in a Weatherby 257 Magnum with a 26” barrel. 💯 I feel like I’m “key holing” Whitetails at 100 yards and in, when not hitting bone; with a 110 grain Accubond. 🤷‍♂️ Any help you can provide would be helpful. Ya its interesting, I got these bullets from a gunstore near us that carries old reloading supplies, they came in an old cardboard box that looks like it's out of the 80's. Didn't have a listed BC on the box. Best I can figure these would have been component bullets for the .264 win mag, which has a listed .384 on their website. Not sure if they updated/changed them for their factory 6.5 creed loadings. Forgot to mention all that in the video.

Scratching my head. I would have expected the jacket and core separation to be at the higher velocities rather than the low velocity at 400 yards. I wonder it that was just a bullet failure for that particular projectile. Especially since it did not separate at the same distance from your 6.5 Roy which would have been probably 300-350 fps faster than the Creed.

Ya I think it was probably just a fluke in that one bullet, pretty sure it didn't come into any contact with the wood trough.

I have never seen a Core Lokt fail on deer. Period. Any caliber, it can be relied on to cleanly take deer.

I’ve only used a couple in 25-06 but they performed flawlessly for me even at 3000 fps impact velocity

Gods I hate core lokts. 30-30, 7.62 soviet, 308 and 270 ive used. They look all nice when you shoot them at water but on game ive had nothing but dissapointing results. Accurate *enough* for 2-300 yard work, Long track jobs and large exit wounds indicating it was still expanding when it exited (due to delayed initial expansion from the alloy lead core) leading to lots of (basically) one lung hits, no matter what rifle ive used.
