@@johnconnolly5117 If I remember correctly the Vulcan cannon is a 20mm 6-barrelled Gatling gun called the maxigun that equiped the F-105 & the F-5, & 12.7mm < 20mm
As you go into Davis-Monthan AFB theres an A-10.
I sure hope the US is the only country to have these cool weapons!!

Has anyone thought about mounting GAU-8 on a ground platform? Imagine sending lead toward a armoured column from an armoured vehicle!

There is no ground platform for it. But the Dutch used this gun in a system called Goalkeeper to defend warships from missiles.
no use on a humvee.... cause you have to compete with the m2 and good luck with that

It's called a minigun because it's a miniaturized version of the 20mm Vulcan cannon, although I do agree it should be called a manygun.
