5th GRADE TEACHER DAY IN MY LIFE || funky february!

Welcome to a (few) days in my life as a 5th grade teacher! Our days and weeks have been going so fast in the classroom - it's already February! My 5th grade classroom has been chilly, chatty, and chillaxin'. I love them.

There is a balance between letting them say what's on their mind, and having a voice, and you being the authority in the class. Yes kids should be able to do what you said, but you're the alpha dog. You're the one in trouble if something happens, it's your classroom.

Totally! And that’s the balance I’m trying to find. Because I don’t think that being an authority means I tell them to listen to me only because I’m an adult. I think the respect needs to go both ways.
