Another potential tip with cherry wood: combining cherry and dark oak logs in a "circular" tower (dark oak for the flat sides and cherry for the diagonal sides) makes for a really cool wizard tower

Quartz, Smooth Quartz, Diorite, White Wool, White Concrete (or powder), and bone blocks, can be used to texture with white blocks.

When you are in an island if you make a palm tree but make one of the pots decorated. It makes it look like you carved them.
