2:49: Use the sneak key to get to the edge of a block where the other block is water/lava, then go 10 blocks directly up. Or, with redstone dust, repeaters, comparators, etc., you can sprint-jump over it to get the particles. Or, for any block, make a ghost block such that it is stone (clientside) but also any other block (serverside).
