Mrs T was the star of the show with the pole there in the basin she was great and well done Mr T for driving through that lot. That wind is a pain but there is no point trying to be courteous if you can't maintain course by driving on tickover I would just steam through at a speed you need to, better that than getting pushed into other boats. Good video again cheers.

It's all about Canal Time - there's no rush and you just take things easy and steady. I won't say where we are, as I don't want to spoil it for your viewers, but we're moving on just a bit further to get a train ride tomorrow

Josh no need to apologise and defo dont take any videos down (just read it), your vlogs are so good because they are real and its refreshing to see. We all have bad days and you should be proud of the realism that you and your wonderful family have the confidence to keep in the videos, I love it. Your dad is so funny with the daft faces he pulls in the background and the little dance moves he often pulls. Keep it up the mighty Taylors you are bringing joy to many.

You need walkies talkies so whoever is in the well deck can warn how close the boats are to dad at the helm. When the wind hits there is nothing you can do about it.

Shiny boat bridgade always moaning if a boat comes too close to them thats why they spend most time in Marinas shining their mushrooms haha , dad knows what hes talkin about once wind gets hold of h then u cant do nothing about it x

Ha ha 😂 great way of putting it Susan. I had a comment from one of them, which I deleted, they said "the pole should never touch another person's boat, it should also touch the bottom of the canal or the bank and if its to windy don't move. And boating is not a contact sport" ha ha what a load of rubbish 🙄

@@TaylorsAboardaNarrowboat what a load of b***ocks when the wind takes u theres nothing h can do about it but u still get the shiny boat bridgade moaning about something it wasnt a deliberate contact these things happen so deal with it or leave ur boat in marina so it can shine n be nice in there 😆😆 x

Wide beams can cruise to Market Harborough from the river Trent. Obviously can’t go up foxton locks though.

@@TaylorsAboardaNarrowboat I guess you have done the river soar by now. Are you planning on doing the Erewash ? Possibly struggle to turn around at the end of it.

I needed a laugh, great vlog! yep, crosswinds and a 70 footer are great fun! One trick I have never had the chance to try is sticking one end of the boat into a winding hole and letting the wind turn the boat, like they used to in the bad old days!. Please, when you guys navigate the junction at the end of the Wardle canal, film it! Coming out of the Wardle and turning left has been a right challenge every time we have been near it. I want to see the look of trepidation as the boat does the opposite of what you want, more fun because there is always an angry man on a boat right in the junction.
