Thank you for putting these videos out there for all of us that need a little help! You’re amazing at what you do! Thank you again!
You are a clay hypnotist where you have complete control over your subject. I, however, am controlled by my clay, it does whatever it wants to do and controls me. You are a master, thank you so much for the tutorial.
You are a very talented teacher thank you for your tutorial...

You are welcome
Another fantastic video. Such clear explanation and the two camera angles really really help! Brilliant!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for taking the time to show two view points. I'm getting back into pottery again and your instruction is very helpful.
Hello from Germany. Fantastic video as usual! Your video enhancements add so much- two angles at once are so helpful. I’m just beginning to work with porcelain after several years with stoneware and it’s a completely different experience, I’ve slowed down my movements quite a bit and use the slip instead of water per your advice and this has helped a lot. Many thanks
thank you for this very helpful video and sharing your techniques!! amazing to watch you at work!
I always give example of yours if someone asks me about tutorials. Learnt a lot from your videos... Been following you from past 9 years now...❤️

I have what might be a silly question, but when you are measuring the thickness of the base (when drilling/opening the clay) does it matter about the needle hole? Does the needle hole remain? Or does it end up being "filled in" with clay a you are throwing? Or is measuring it something you only do on practice pieces that you will not end up firing/glazing/using? Thanks so much!

The hole will be filling with clay. I always tell my beginner students to do so.

@@hsinchuen Awesome! Thank you so much, I will try this tomorrow in my throwing class, I am prone to go too thin on the bottom of my pots so this will be a big help :D Also, happy Lunar New Year! I hope you have a safe and healthy year of the Tiger :)
