500 Magnum vs Watermelons
Спорт
First person to comment on "wasting" food will be awarded a scholarship to take a class in "Economics 101" at his or her local Community College. :-) NEWSFLASH! Regardless of what your oh-so-environmentally aware 4th grade teacher told you, what YOU or I do with five watermelons we've purchased from a bin of hundreds of watermelons does not cause anybody to die from WNDS (Watermelon Nutritional Deficiency Syndrome). We did not prevent those melons from going to anybody who is starving from a watermelon shortage! For your own sake, try to refrain from posting about starving people; you're simply broadcasting your IGNORANCE. :-)
Mainly, this video is a test video to uncover the "non-thinkers" among us. You know, those people who watch the many KZread videos and various popular movies in which millions of dollars worth of cars, or whatever, are destroyed and think nothing about it. Literally millions of hungry people could be fed with what that destruction costs; however, non-thinking, emotion-driven people focus on 15 dollars worth of nutritionally worthless watermelons. Thirteen years of scanning comments has been very instructive; I've learned a great deal about my fellow humans and their analytical skills! :-)

The media paints the ar as a "scary" gun, meanwhile experienced gun owners avoid eye contact with the 500. Thanks but no thanks.

It is certainly tempting me. Found one with a performance center 10 and a half inch barrel that I am seriously considering putting on layaway at local pawnshop. The only problem I have is that I have shot the 500 before and I am scared. I will definitely avoid looking at the 700gr underwood ammo though....well..look, but don't touch lol.

I'd rather go up against someone with a 5 rounds of 500 mag than someone with an ar with 30 rnd mags... Most people cannot shoot a 500 magnum accurately enough to place consecutive shots on target. It's alot harder to do than most people like to think it is.

The perfect home defense weapon against a gang of watermelons breaking into your house.
Shot one of these today after work. Super stoked on it. Not a lot of upwards recoil more of a inwards one but still very easy to shoot and super accurate at 30 or so yards with the 8inch barrel. 10/10
@excelerater, It's only $2.50 - $3.00 per shot. Of course, there's not much danger of wanting to burn a couple hundred rounds with it. I'm not recoil sensitive, but this thing does dish out a little pain. It's easy to control; it's just that you can certainly feel it coming back against your hand.

@seberusnet, I can understand that. It really jolts you very hard and stings. It's not for the faint of heart, seriously. If someone thinks a 10mm or a .45 kicks too hard, don't even walk into the same room with one of these! :-)

Awesome handgun. I have watched this video a few times and what really shows the power besides vaporizing watermelons is the branches behind the melons. I was awed when I saw how much air is moving when that cannon goes off.

plot twist: The revolver is just erasing the watermelons out of existance on contact.
@MattiasRobo, You have to just get a pretty firm grip and then ride it. You can't fight it (muscle it) much. Sometimes that can make it worse. It's all fun, though. :-)
This must have been one of those watermelon "hunting experience" luxury resorts where the staff releases watermelons from a distance and they all traverse the shooting range trying to return to their nesting area.

0:33 I know what you're thinking, watermelon. You're thinking "Did he fire five shots or only four?"
To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day Hardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say, No one dared to ask his business, no one dared to make a slip The stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip, Big iron on his hip It was early in the morning when he rode into the town He came riding from the south side, slowly lookin' all around "He's an outlaw loose and runnin'", came a whisper from each lip "And he's here to do some business with a big iron on his hip, Big iron on his hip" In this town there lived an outlaw by the name of Texas Red Many men had tried to take him and that many men were dead He was vicious and a killer, though a youth of twenty four And the notches on his pistol numbered one and nineteen more, One and nineteen more Now the stranger started talkin' made it plain to folks around Was an Arizonia ranger, wouldn't be too long in town He was here to take an outlaw back alive or maybe dead And he said it didn't matter that he was after Texas Red, After Texas Red Wasn't long before this story was relayed to Texas Red But the outlaw didn't worry, men who tried before were dead Twenty men had tried to take him, twenty men had made a slip, Twenty one would be the ranger with the big iron on his hip, Big iron on his hip Now the morning passed so quickly and it was time for them to meet It was twenty past eleven when they rode out in the street Folks were watchin' from their windows, Every body held their breath, They knew this handsome ranger was about to meet his death, About to meet his death There was twenty feet between them When they stopped to make their play And the swiftness of the Ranger still talked about today Texas Red had not cleared leather when a bullet fairly ripped And the ranger's aim was deadly, with the big iron on his hip, Big iron on his hip It was over in a moment and the crowd all gathered 'round There before them lay the body of the outlaw on the ground Oh, he might have went on livin' but he made one fatal slip When he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip, Big iron on his hip Big iron, big iron, Oh he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip, Big iron on his hip

I’d rather get my license first, because that’s exactly the gun I would like to purchase personally for my family protection.
It almost looks like there’s a tiny bomb inside the bullets, detonating as soon as the bullet penetrates the watermelon.
Recoil actually seems pretty manageable. Is that due to the ammo that you're using, or is the weight of the front part of the gun keeping it down?
