yeah. presentation and presenter's overall mood goes a long way when putting on a show. topic of discussion enough sometimes isn't enough to keep the viewer/listener tuned in. Mark Levine offers similar political views to Michael Savage; yet it's hard to stay tuned to Levine for more than 10 minutes, while I can listen to Savage for 10 hours straight and feel the show was cut too short when it's over after 10 hours.

For anyone that argues against the existence of stopping power, watch the Henry Rifle knock over that 15-17 lb propane tank at 20:34
@error452
2 жыл бұрын
The stopping power does not exist only in handguns as the temporal cavity generated during the moment when the projectile is crossing the body due to the elasticity of the tissues of the human body returns to its place leaving the permanent cavity with an approximate diameter of the caliber of the short weapon used. In other types of weapons such as shotguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns, among others, the permanent cavity is the size of the temporal cavity because the energy of the projectile is very large and tissue tearing occurs during the emergence of the temporal cavity.
@adamjensen7001

Fascinating ! Why this Man hasnt been on TV is beyond me. He is so easy to listen to and has a great knowledge of his subject!
Him saying “I will never forget you” while chuckling with an 1860’s rifle is cold
Now, I’ve owned many firearms in my life from assault rifles to plenty of different handguns and quite a bit of things in between. I was a range officer for five years and practised often. I’ve honestly never witnessed anybody in that entire time who is that accurate with iron sites. I can’t think of a single historical gunslinger that wouldn’t be impressed with your skill sir! I realize that having a 1860 Henry was a big improvement over any muzzle loaded rifle and the range using a pistol cartridge was limited.
A well-read and informed shooter speaking about the actual history of the guns development as well as shooting it? Tickle me impressed.

I don't mean to sound rude, but anyone who looks at this, and thinks "An old lever gun, who would want that?" must be out of their damn mind. This is a piece of history! Even a modern repro is still something special because it enables you to experience shooting as one would have 100 years ago. Maybe that's meaningless to some, but to me there's something transcendent about connecting with the past like that. I have an undying love of history, and being able to share an experience with people in the past helps to deepen one's understanding of those people, and their time. Not to mention, many of the old firearms like the Henry, or your Colt Dragoon with the engraving on it are absolutely beautiful. They're works of art in their own way. Thanks again for keeping these guns alive, and sharing them with us!

Both of these Henrys are beauties...I bought my 1st Henry a couple years back now... It is a Golden Boy .22LR I picked from a gun dealer on the NH side of the river, whom had bought it from an estate in Vermont. Brand spanking new in the box with all the papers... It is a Limited Edition ( 8 ) of ( 100 ) made under license from a company named Historical Armory... It has special engravings on both sides of the brass & stock dedicated to Caledonia, Vermont which is in the next county just north of where I live...I fully intend to use it, however I haven't fired a round through it yet! I will treasure this gun forever, although at 67 years young, I ain't gettin' any younger! Excellent presentation here on a rare Henry rifle that dates back to the Great Civil War. Bill on the Hill, Vermont, USA...

I had a dear friend who owned two Henry rifles. (I am Canadian). He taught me gun safety, and I had such a delightful time target-shooting with this rifle: it was a commanding, heavy rifle. I had to rest it on a sandbag - the marksman in the video impressed me with his accuracy. I think, and I'm not really a gun-fancier, that the Henry is a thing of real beauty. I forever connect this rifle very fondly with good times with my late friend.

No, it was just too heavy for me to aim properly. Thus, a sandbag.
I always learn something new with all kinds of weapons I thought I'd never, ever use. Thanks, Hickock45, for always enlightening the gun community!
Watching the arch of that round on the Gong is something to behold.
Gorgeous would be an understatement. This fire arm is an Epic. Hats off to your shooting skills...just marvelous. 🙂👏

First rifle I ever fired was my great grandfathers Henry. I own a Henry original in 45 Colt and absolutely love it! It’s not a Winchester… but it’s made in America, not Italy. I do own a Uberti ‘66… but the Henry Original is a NICER rifle and the wood is BEAUTIFUL!
The 1860 Henry Rifle is beautiful!
This must surely be one of the most beautiful fire arms ever made.

+flyingcumshot Seems like there is a renewed interest in lever actions lately. For years, I seldom saw them in the gun stores but during this past Christmas shopping season, I saw quite a few, even in stores like "Academy".

10 year old video and quality still holds up, yessirrr
Wow, you can see the actual bullet flying all the way to the gong… cool.
I hope this grandpa doesn't die because this content is amazing
Uberti does a great job. They're so accurate that the parts from their remakes are interchangeable with parts from the originals.
this mans accuracy is nuts
Hickok45 has what other gun channels dont, that American manliness that my generation lacks.
Truly a work of art. I love how much history can be behind a single rifle
Best thing about all your videos are you start them right away with fun or action. Even the long videos you don't make it boring and keep us waiting before you start shooting the guns. This is why you're the best.
That sound. The sound of it reloading. I've never owned, shot or even held a gun, as I'm 16 and live in the UK, but I want this gun. That sound is a joy to listen to.
This gun and the S&W No.3 Revolver are the coolest looking guns from the Wild West

Id just like to say thank you from all the British viewers your weapon knowledge is incredible and this is the closest we can get to actually firing the weapons ourselves, keep making these videos we will continue to watch and be educated and also be green with envy lol take care all the best

You can own a lever action gun in Britain. You don't even need a license to shoot a rented one. Look for a shooting range near you, it's a lot of fun.
I have a 1866 Uberti that shoots .38 and I absolutely love it, what a beautiful firearm
i have the 1866 in 38 .with the long barrel from Uberti.. very fun to shoot, goodly accurate and very low recoil. nice rifle!

In addition to the devastation they caused in the civil war, there were also many 1860 Henry rifles present at Custer's Last stand in 1876. Unfortunately for Custer, it was the Indians who had them. All Custer and his men had were single-shot Springfield Carbines. Not only was he hopeless outnumbered in that battle, but many of the Indians were better armed as well.
You are sooo in love with this "big boy" toy. It was a pleasure to watch how happy you were with it. A man being a kid in a candy store.

That's an amazing and beautiful piece of America innovation and history. Thanks for posting.
