** Pulitzer Prize awards are handed to the photographer not the camera!
So, truth be told, it's the person holding the camera is the artist creating the photo. Next, understand the foundation of this channel and photography itself, "the camera does not make a bad photographer a great photographer", a camera of $42 or $4,200. will not create an award-winning shot.
As far as post processing your work, well if you want to get the finest image you can after the shutter clicks, you absolutely must do some post work.
If you ordered a meal at a restaurant, would you like the meal better if the chef tweaked your food to the highest pro chef level? Yes of course.

*Photographer Carmine Taverna Defines Street Photography in these words;
Street photography, a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge. Street photographers do not necessarily have a social purpose in mind, but they prefer to isolate and capture moments which might otherwise go unnoticed.
***Why are CCD cameras better?
CCD sensors create high-quality, low-noise images. CMOS sensors are usually more susceptible to noise. Because each photosite on a CMOS sensor has several transistors located next to it, the light sensitivity of a CMOS chip tends to be lower, as many of the photons hit the transistors instead of the photosite.

1) buy from a seller in Japan.
2) they must have 100% positive feedback.
3) they must have at least 100 Feedbacks.
4) the listing must say MINT OR EXC OR WORKING OR TESTED OR LIKE NEW.
5) you must understand the camera will Not be the cheapest one on ebay.

The following is a Rebecca West Quote.
"Any authentic work of art, must start an argument, between the artist and his audience."
Must Read
"Photographic art overlaps with the landscape, portraiture, and other photography types. It is defined by the artist's vision and approach to get distinct photographs. Unlike other forms of photography, fine art photography is about capturing what the artist sees instead of what the camera sees. It is just another tool for artists to produce their art."

**The CCD was invented in 1969 at Bell Labs by Willard Boyle and George Smith. Since that CCD FILM LIKE SENSOR was sensitive to light it was used as image sensor for video and TV cameras. It could also be used as a memory device or analogue signal delay since it's principally a kind of analogue shift-register circuit.

Hi Carmine, very underrated lens, use it with my Dx cameras: D200, D300s, D3300, D7100, D7200, and Z50. Works well with CP filter as well. You cant beat the value and surprised me when comparing it to my Nikon Dx17-55 2.8 lens. What is really interesting is when I used in on my D850 and changed the Aspect ratio (without defaulting to Dx mode) to Square 1:1 or 4x3, I got no vignetting and plenty of mp to play with for cropping, Ted.

This lens came with my D5000 ~15 years ago and mine is in mint condition too if I wanted to sell it. I always assumed these mint condition lenses on ebay were from people like me, who bought their first DSLR and then didn't use them that often. I'll stop calling them "kit lenses" just because you said so! For what little money they are selling I had already decided to keep them but knowing that you actually say there is value in this lens I will keep it as I delve into more and more older DSLRs. DX lenses seem to work with most of them until I get to the point where I can get my first full frame!!

That lens is a bargain gem. Don’t get version one or non IS. VRii is the one. I was shocked it covered 35mm film on my N80 from about 23-55mm without a filter. Note I hear the “P” version is good but beware older cameras won’t support that lens.

  • @Sc0pee

Indeed the P version is a great lens! It has that pulse motor inside, so it focuses really fast and silently! And that one also sells for around 50$ used!

have you used the Tokina AT-X Pro 28-70mm F2.8 Lens? if so what are your thoughts of this lens? I have it and I am kind of 50/50 on it. I like that its does look sharp but sometimes when I zoom in on my computer it seems to get blurry but when you look at the picture at regular size it seems fine. also on one of the pictures I took in good lighting I took a picture of a guy in a white shirt and i could see his shirt kind of glowing like an extra soft glow outside of the shirt. I don't know if that means the lens is foggy and needs cleaning or is that like a hazing affect

Carmine: I have a Nikon D60 with a AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G lens. Is it worth the $50.00 to buy the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G VR II lens? I also recently purchased a D300 and a D7000, would spending the money on the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm 3.5-5.6G VR II lens also be worth spending the money? Finally, should I just buy another lens so that do not have two 18-55mm lenses. Your suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Many thanks for your response. I was about to pull the trigger on buying another 18-55mm lens. I think I am good with my telephoto lens. I purchased the Nikon 75-300mm f4.5-5.6 AF lens (push pull) based on your advice from your class 191. You are correct, that lens is “sharper than a knife.” I absolutely love watching your videos, great down to earth advice for guys like myself. You are the best in my book. P.S. I love the videos you did on the D300 and D7000. I purchased them from KEH and MPB respectively and could not be happier with the cameras. Of course I also do my own homework before I make a purchase, but your advice I heavily rely upon when making my purchase decisions. Keep up the excellent work. @@CarmineTavernaPhotography
