On the filters you might wish to write the dates that you installed them on the filters.

It is so nice that they designed the tractor to be easily worked on. so often things are buried so that you really have a heck of a time to get at the items that are regularly replaced. you might put a vacuum on the fill port for the hydraulic fluid to minimize the loss. great video always nice to see hoe it is done.

I was told if you put a vacuum on the end of the hydraulic fill opening when you replace your filter it creates vacuum so you don't lose so much fluid.

Just did mine and ran across this…mostly the same with the MX series, but mine is gear drive so one less hydro filter. I got mine used with 90 hours and now have 180…wasn’t confident. The original owner changed hydro filters so I swapped it along with fuel, oil and air filters. Would be nice if they had a shutoff at the hydro filter housing…..that’s a puckering thing to deal with. I too had to readjust to keep from cross threading while spindletop kept flowin.

Yeah, I dunno why they didn’t put some kind of shutoff in with that filter - such a pain. I’m getting ready to do this again on my own tractor. This was a buddy of mines but since then I bought a L2501 new.
