In Mario Kart games, the Flower cup is always the second grand prix after the Mushroom Cup. I think the Flower Kingdom may have always been a neighbor.

I think we’re going to turn into Goombas and other Mario baddies in the wonder effects, that’s why blue toad is a Goomba in the official art. Koizumi saids it in the direct that Mario and friends will transform into other things and I believe that’s what he meant by it.

I’m really interested to see what they do with the Wonder Flower. The idea of the level changing is so cool.

I honestly love the art style of this game, ots new and looks great imo

I'm so happy they brought back P-Speed from Mario 3 and Mario World. It's one of my favorite movement mechanics and hopefully there's a powerup in this game that's affected by it, just like the super leaf and cape feather were in their respective games!

@@MedAnimationsNo, it isn’t. I think Nintendo is trying a new type of 2D Mario as they intend for player to revisit the levels for wonder seed which is also being the progression and flagpole give 1 so it’s not the linear progression we say in these games

@@MedAnimations Classic Mario have the linear path, power up which power mario up, a world map with path and a structure of linearity where player is exacted to move on from the previous level, even Mario world is. In this game, the classic fire flower, flight power up and star is missing and replaced with more scenario based ones like the elephant mario(There are clearly none as they are so common in the SMB games that it’s impossible to not show them in the trailer), some part of the world map don’t have set path and instead of the start to end gameplay, flagpole grant wonder seed where there is multiple of, which means levels aren’t one and done, more like the 3D games but also probably means less level count and ridable Yoshi is missing because of the playable ones, hence I feels like this is more mariovania or sandbox Mario than fans thought it would be. Plus, 2d Mario never did stylised art, they either go for pixel art due to hardware limitation, then pre-rendered with NSMB and I believe if it’s a sequel, the logical step is to have full 3D asset, they may not include full 3D asset because they have to hide some secret path behind walls which leads to more exploration based gameplay. Wonder seed is not star coin replacement, they are integral to progression just like flagpole used to be and the logo clearly hinting NSMB is still developing as usually mario games stylised the ‘Super Mario Bros’ part. I think this is more of a experimentation of new kinds of gameplay which maybe need to relies on the switch’s success to be successful and NSMB can be saved for next generation as it’s a more familiar gameplay wise. There is NPC with the flowers which is more of a 3D mario thing and the wonder flower is not a mechanic suitable to linear play as level typically just goes on in linear game and don’t need to change, this is sandbox then they can hide the flower and they can open up wonder seeds. It still would make sense to have timer(at least one which is hidden til 200 seconds) unless it is more sandbox like as it pushes the player forward instead of camping which is needed for a linear game, they didn’t because this discourage exploration. The purple coin can be used to collect wonder seed and the animation look similar to the old games because it’s to bring familiarity as like the reference location in breath of the wild which is needed for this game as it’s ‘too different’.

really neat to see a playable daisy, i dont think shes even been in a mainline game yet, unless you count land as mainline, and even then she wasnt playable im hoping you can actually chose what character you play as in singleplayer thats always nice to see

One downside to everyone sharing live is that if you have a player who’s either not good at the game or is that guy who wastes lives for fun then you could get east game overs

Personally hoping Yoshi isn't an easy mode, I feel Mario games have too many of them and locking a popular character like Yoshi behind the game being easier.

I'd like to see a wonder flower that just turns the stage 90 degrees, turning it from a horizontal stage to a vertical climbing (or falling?) stage

No one seems to see the fact that you can now step on enemies underwater instead of just getting hit even tho they show the clip multiple times

I think people ended up forgetting about touching others with Star Power to give it to them too, you see it when Mario touches Luigi while falling

3:24 Missed fact: Players now can stomp enemies underwater. It was not possible in previous games

On the e-shop it says it only supports up to 4 players locally there is no online, but nintendo could announce it later at some point

2:10 i doubt this is an actual level and probably something more like an item house or shop like how toad houses acted as item houses for the previous games. (Though i would prefer a toad town type of level with these new flower kingdom toads and a different type of item shop than the typical toad house)

Just the fact they made the BACKGROUND interactive in some levels is AMAZING in itself! Like a new concept! 4d almost! Like you can be one character playing in the foregeound and the other plays in the background. Its crazy good.

I didn't see anyone talking about it: In the scene where Mario and Peach fly with their caps, the talking flower is red, not orange like in all the other scenes.

7:05 I think if it does bring back the crown mechanic, it could still work, like in mario maker if you ground pound an opponent with a key, you can steal it, so the mechanic can still work, just saying...

I think the crown might be not the same as in 3D world. I think that it is to show on Which character the camera is focused. That was a problem that I often encountered with friends that we didn't know.

I think the crown is made for a different reason because in every clip it’s in that a player has it, they are in the front of the life counter or player 1 has it Nvm there’s two clips that go against this, but I don’t think the item slot is an item slot, Ceave Gaming made a point about this in a video about Wonder

When mario had the star power and touched luigi without the star power luigi got it too

I'm glad to see no more timer. I mean really what was the point of having a time limit when it's not like it's hard to get to the end in that amount of time. And if it is then it's not really fun having do do a level again because you ran out of time. Only time it made sense was in those 3d land levels where the timer is constantly running out so you gotta collect a bunch of clocks to increase it.
