16:05 I've also found people will often call out the rarest recourses in Bahari Bay through the server chat, even sending up a flare arrow so others can find it easily, then waiting for anyone who responds in chat to arrive. It's much easier to get all those hard-to-find drops when you have a dozen people canvassing the whole area and sharing with each-other. I really love that the devs made a game that encourages this kind of cooperation. Also appreciate you so much, both for the tips and for getting me back into the game!

i noticed that too. I'm slow af and people are just casually sitting down waiting. No one seems to really mind. Also when the groves spawn in everyone gives like "no grove here" and eventually someone will say where the grove is which is nice

but that’s the whole premise! the devs themselves created the game behind the idea that people will work together. the community is so friendly and supportive i would recommend trying to socialize! there’s an option set for streamers that hides your name, it would be like incognito mode

im so glad you said that the resources split when gathering together😭 I was feeling so bad and worried when me and a random would end up at the same rock or tree and we'd hit it together then I picked up the loot it felt as if I was taking it all for myself and was scared I was making enemiesLMAO

I'm REALLY hoping that they'll put a Fast Travel point in your own base to the other zones! Having to have a load screen just to walk to a fast travel point to get another load screen just to go to a certain area seems kinda dumb... Make us unlock it and build it like furniture! We'd all do it!

I found out you can catch treasure chests while fishing lol. That was the first 'fish' I got lol. I just had to reel it in too lol. I am also relieved that my crops will never wither either. It being the Christmas season I've been doing more things IRL (which always takes priority).

I found this game on my switch a month or so ago and I’ve been really enjoying it. Your video was super informative and fun to watch :) One of the things I’ve been loving the most (other than the cozy gameplay) is the lore behind each character, the NPCs themselves, and their relationships with each other. As you talk to them and get to know each character more, you learn about the layers to everyone’s personality. Each character has their own struggles and triumphs. It’s made me love the game even more because you truly do get invested in everyone’s story and it makes the characters feel more real. For example (spoilers for Auni’s character lore), when you meet Auni he’s a happy go lucky kid who likes catching bugs. But, as you get to know him and do quests you learn how he’s really struggling with the idea of picking his Path. He doesn’t want to be a farmer like his family, and even more so he wants to do magic in the Order which his family doesn’t support. He almost runs away (which you find out he’s tried to do a few times in the past as well), and he also struggles living in the shadow of his “perfect” brother Nai’o (who has his own story of struggling under the pressure). It’s so interesting to me to think about the idea of “picking your Path” at such a young age and basically having to know who you want to be for the rest of your life. And then, if you don’t pick the same path as your parents youre subjected to judgement and ridicule (like Reth). And that’s just 1 character. There are so many other good and interesting story lines that make you genuinely invested in the characters. Huge props to the game devs and writers who designed all of the characters, they did an amazing job.

Guys, FYI: you can access Bahari Bay from your own plot, opposite from the main entrance... Just explore your plot and you’ll find it. It saves A LOT of time

Whenever I have a stockpile of flint, I make them into makeshift arrows for a little extra money off them. Since they added bulk crafting it became SO much easier

This game is scratching the itch that Fantasy Life left behind. Not as action oriented but i have been looking for a much cozier game and this is perfect

1:23 Great guide for us newbs! You mention being able to change everything but your name but I can’t see where you can change skin, eye colour etc after initial setup. I’ve searched in-game and online to no avail, though it’s probably something obvious that I’m not seeing. I ended up with purple eyes - very appropriate for Palia but I’d like to think I can change it somehow!

for whatever odd reason, as of now if you continue to play without making an account you're not able to link it later.... which means no cross play between other platforms. never seen a game do this before 😭 i hope it gets changed later because it's honestly really goofy and my only gripe with the game right now lmao. I had to reset and make a new save on my switch because of this since I wanted to be able to play on my laptop sometimes.

I know! I actually want to reset as well but don’t know how! Tried deleting the game but it keeps coming back with the same palia profile I created 😢

If you can manage to login every hour to water crops, you can make around 10k per harvest. So about 30k a day just growing star quality potato’s.

Pretty sure they are tied to your actual log-in NOT any one platform or software site like Steam etc. I know that is the way it is between the Switch version and PC version I got directly from their website.

First mistake I made while making my character is following the game's example of full name. I ended up giving my character a very human name 🥲 with firstname and lastname, only to find out there's no way to change it in-game T_T

You can remove them off your lot but no way to remove them from your inventory entirely. Hopefully in future updates they will allow us to sell, or at the very least trash, the excess furniture we have accumulated.

Can anyone tell me is this like.. Pay to progress? Or like extremely pay for stuff or is it like 98% of in game stuff need to play to get and then the 2% is pay for cosmetics

So I JUST started playing this game and I must say, it literally doesn't make any sense to me. I don't get what you're suppose to do. Is it like BotW? Is this a puzzle game? I have no idea what I am doing. I have been wandering around for 25 min. and have yet to even FIND a glider. So anyways, I came to your video to try and figure out what you're suppose to do. And you jump from the character creation screen to all of a sudden have a house? How did you acquire it? This game makes no sense. At least to me. So thanks anyways. Not trying to be mean, but I have absolutely no idea what to do.

I am not gonna get into it here in detail but I would suggest watching more videos of folks playing & streaming the game before writing it off entirely. Unfortunately the devs of the game have relied VERY heavily on streamers and other content providers to do the front end leg work for them to walk folks through how to play, show what quests get you what rewards etc. If you expect to be able to download the game and be able to walk right into playing you will be stressed out as, like you said, nothing is really explained except the mechanics of the game itself (so how to jump, how to climb etc). Essentially everything you get early game (glider, crops, your tent etc) is obtained through doing quests which get triggered by talking to various villagers etc. And as a last resort Google is very much your BFF here if you ever need info on how to get or do something in game. Good luck!
