I play on the Switch. My only complaint is the difference between how Palia looks on Switch and the beauty it is on PC. I NEED the reeds, flowers, textures etc. Unfortunately my PC is months away from the overhaul it needs to run ANYTHING. LOL

My issue on the switch is mainly the horrible lag and long loading, not to mention the serves just randomly crashing and the game freezing from time to time :( i wish it just ran smoother i dont even mind the graphics

Even though my experience with switch is better for me since I'm disabled I still think there is one important bug that I just have to mention: not being able to move overflow items from your bag into your storage or to the red sales bin on your plot. That is so annoying for me. But anyways thanks for the amazing video comparison and I do agree: There isn't really that big of a difference between switch and pc (except for the bug I just mentioned)

Oof! I hadn't heard of that bug. I just use my mouse to move overflow items on PC, but that would be difficult on controller.

@@sleepyshroom6296 thanks but I recently found out that in order to move overflow items to the rest of you bagpack storage you have to press the A button and select and empty spot in you bagpack in order to move it.

Can you cook in the game with your switch? Cause I can't cook recipes with more than 2 ingredients, like the buttons stop responding.

Are you saying you don't like it greener and more lively? I did notice that Palia seemed brighter and had more plants render in on PC and was darker with more contrast and less details on Switch. I wonder what it will look like on the upcoming new Nintendo Switch?

One of the main issues I noticed that is actually taking away from my experience of the game (apart from lag and frame stuttering), is that trying to sell anything in town is such a hassle. You can’t just scroll over to your inventory; instead you have to scroll all the way down to the end of the shop’s stock, and then HOPE it lets you switch over to your bag 😅 sometimes it doesn’t even let you do that at all. But I’m betting my bottom dollar that they’ll fix ‘er up a bit pretty soon. The bugs I’m seeing seem pretty basic, so hopefully it’s easy to fix! :) Honestly I was pretty surprised that the Switch version doesn’t have touch control features. It would have made getting around the UI far more pleasant, and I honestly expected it to be fairly easy to implement. I don’t know if that’s a plan in the works at Singularity 6, but I really hope so, cause it would be the best quality of life improvement I can think of for the Switch at this point. It would even help alleviate the issue of not being able to sell from your bag at any of the shops. I love the content by the way! Keep it up 😄

My wife and I play on the Switch and we don't have this issue. We're able to move to our inventory and sell without issue.

@@wolffcaleb1 color me jealous! Lol It hasn’t been quite as bad for me lately, and seems to affect some shops way more than others. It was working fine at Einar’s shop, but it definitely still happens at Zeki’s for some reason :/

I frequently shift between pc and Switch Palia and my only real gripe is that hunting is incredibly difficult on the console. They implemented no gyro controls for the bow, and animals teleport large distances once they're a certain distance away from you, making the chase for additional arrows impossible. I do everything but hunting on the console port now and leave that to pc and Steam Deck

Thank you for your input! Sadly, it seems that most games decline when they port to the Switch; it just can't compare with the performance of a PC or the newer XBox/PS systems.

i just hope they add a video settings feature on the switch where we can change things like Brightness, saturation, warmth, etc. so we can make it more visually pleasing. while the frame rates likely won't ever be fixed until we get a system from nintendo that isn't 10 years behind the competition in terms of performance, we'll just have to live with it lol

Just wanted to send a follow up here with the switch. I think the game is awesome. Some lagging in places when you go home, get out of home, changing closet at Zels etc. Alot of f people the first week gett8ng I on the game, I believe it caused heavy traffic compilations. 2nd would be bugs in the game exists, you figure out what not to do to keep from these for the most part. Can't wait for the sky islands glitch to be fixed so I can complete my quest.

This is my complaint with Palia on PC. The controller support is trash.

Hunting is WAY harder on Switch than on a PC.

For me switch is the better choice as I can't get on with keyboard and mouse 😂. Thanks for the great video ❤

The need to find a way to sharpen the visuals some.

Honestly, it might be the best that the current Nintendo Switch is capable of with a game like this. It's not bad, especially if you don't know what you're missing. ;)

Hmm, see if there are any video quality settings in the game...or maybe they've since changed how it runs on the Switch.

in cooking, the switch gives much less information about the stages of preparation and different stations needed and what you do at each, so you can't plan your cooking ahead of time.

as the switch is my only way to play games, i have accepted the low performance and other issues but does anyone else have that glitch on the mayor's robes? it hurt my eyes so bad that i avoid talking to this character now. this thing alone should have an epilepsy warning

Yes! i noticed that and was seriously annoying they didn't have the necessary warnings. especially taking into consideration how buggy the game can be sometimes, flahsing things are very common. 😭
