We found this out on Miss Sunstone's stream. I'm sure after the "honey nerf", she is being cautious with anything to do with prices, as it is Early Access and many may be watching this later with some updates changing these variables.

@@UrsulaPowers they are quite rare! I found all of mine in the forest area on your way to the caverns, Ben’s caravan etc.

Every previous game in this kind of genre has made me terrified of using the scythe for anything unless I'm COMPLETELY sure. I'd never have even tried it.

Aw! Thanks so much Steven I’d say the seeds would be worth using in your first spring season when money is harder to earn, but then as you transition into summer and fall, to start saving some along the way!

little tip: you can put a lot of the scavengable greenery into the maso jars and make jams etc. you can sell those, too. And those do respawn daily ^^ - I'm selling pickled kale for example and pickled brussel sprouts

Oh and the flowers!!!! bees in Coral Island still produce in winter, as long as you have some flowers saved. Wild ones or grown ones.

Oh yeah winter also made me appreciate my beehives a whole lot more 😂 and yes to mason jars also!! I somehow only recently tried using scavengeables in mason jars 💀🤦🏻‍♀️ solid advice!!

Ah! I didn't realize that Ben sold the scarecrows so early in the game! I made a lot of the makeshift scarecrows at the beginning. Good news? You can sell them when you don't need them anymore! ^_^ I will definitely be using this on any new games I start--thank you!

It's funny the things players do and don't find out while playing. My friend and I have been playing lately and she's the one who told me to harvest with my scythe!, and I'm the one who told her that all she has to do is go to the inventory and hover over an item to see if it's been donated to the museum or offered at the temple yet, so she doesn't have to go to the museum or temple every time to check.

Oh my god. Whenever I went to fast travel and spotted a new dot on the map I was wondering how come I had never seen it before and never realized you actually unlock them one by one (past the first ones that come w the offerings)! And thank you, I think this last point is going to be a lifesaver for me because I'm not entirely sure I will reach C rank by the winter haha

Totally! Sometimes I didn’t even realize why/how I unlocked a new one, so these clues definitely helped me better understand! I think it’s totally fine to not reach C in the first year, since this game is all about taking things at whatever pace you like! But yes- save the seeds!

AHHHH the ununiform growth of the plants is also driving me crazy! I wish I didn't do that, because now I get irritated every morning seeing only a few crops could be harvested. They robbed me of satisfaction harvesting all of your plots at once 🤣

You could just not harvest them and wait until they're all ready, then you'll be good going forward. I enjoyed the cycled produce, I always had produce to sell!

These are all so helpful!!! I didn't know about the explosive and scythe 💛 I'm in my 1st winter now and thought it's normal for Sam to not have seeds, so I'm just mining and diving since I was busy farming for the other seasons.

Oh my god, yes!! I thought I was the only one who had problems with the Crop Express perk T^T I really wish they would add the option to either reallocate your mastery points or just completely change how the perk work. Instead of giving a 10-20% chance of crops growing faster, they should instead make it as "All crops grow 5% faster for I and 10% for II".

The scarecrow thing got me, I crafted around 8 of the blighters before reading about the one you could buy from Sam. I too, was expecting to have to earn the design for a better scarecrow!

#5 - I am the exact same way. I HATE the lopsided crops, and plan to not get that reward next time I play. I honestly expected to be in the minority there, but I was surprised to find comments in the discord and steam of others looking for a way to undo the reward. My people, I have found my people 😅

I thought the same thing!! I thought I might get the ‘omg Sarah it’s just aesthetics’ kinda vibe.. but no! the function is there to get crops quicker but I can’t stand it. Let me use the flash product if I want to grow something specific quicker but otherwise no, I want them to all have the same growth cycle even if it means waiting longer!

Using explosive can also unset the outdoor furniture. I use it to unset the wood path/floor fast. Very efisien in wide area

I got to the harvest festival, had diverse osmium crops.... But didnt know anything about the point system. However, had the chance to still win depending on what other dude brought. 7 day restarts later and he always brought the one that beat me. I restarted knowing what items will break his soul

I completely missed that you can interact with the inactive fast travel points lol. I'm curious about the "offerings to the Forest tree"... has anyone done that already or hasn't it yet been implemented? I'm kind of finished with the game for now until the next update but I haven't tried to unlock more of those fast travel points.

Fences are more to keep your animals contained and to organize your farm. Definitely need the scarecrows to protect from the birds!

The harvest with scythe shookt me and i discovered this by accident. I just recently found this out and i remember thinking like why cant it be like stardew valley when havesting crops. lol

I bought my 11x11 scarecrow with merit points, to save my precious gold

I find the quickest way to raise town rank is to clean the ocean- each area cleaned is a rank in its own category. My ocean is A rank but my heritage and museum are only D so my town averages at a C.

Just lost my save state due to the rollback yesterday 😭 I copied my save state back just how I did when the accidental update dropped, and now it is inaccessible 😖 says I need an updated version to play. Maybe I'm going to start new now and avoid some mistakes I made in the first run 😅

Hmm.. that’s so interesting. I didn’t touch mine at all after the second update and it’s all back to normal. There’s nothing wrong with starting a new save! But see if you can get help on the Stairway Games Discord with restoring it first. The only way you should have lost the save is if you DIDN’T copy/paste the file and you started a brand new game before the second update. I’m excited to eventually start over though with all this knowledge we have now!!

@@sarahsunstone I made the mistake of copying the new save file to the old location because I didn't know it was a rollback. I thought they just threw in a bug fix or something like that. So the savestate is still there, but sadly because of what I did I can't go back to the old savefile from before the update 😅 but I also think it will be fun to start over with all the new information I have now 😁

Wow I really appreciate the crop express info. I just hopped into this game a while ago and I am kind of perfectionist person, that non uniform plant growth would give me headache lol. Is there any way for that skill to reach 100% chance of faster growth? If there is none at all then I will completely abandon that skill forever.

Not at the moment! Maybe something they would implement in the future, but no idea at this point. So for now I would definitely suggest NOT redeeming that skill :lol.

During winter, you can mine and ship gold ore from the wind gate in the cavern. You should be able to mine at least 10-20 ores (maybe even more) of them depending on how abundant the gold rocks spawn. Should give you 3k - 8k everyday. You can earn that much even if you start mining at noon, so you have time in the morning to go to town to do errands or visit your bae. Pretty good alternative than having to wait days for a crop to grow before you could ship.

It's a love/hate relationship I have with Crop Express...

hope this doesnt count as a spoiler but its november and theres a planed update for the spring season. now here the maybe spoiler they did say after some updates your game would be reset back to spring year 1 but your tools and progression will stay the same. i dont know if your house and buildings will be we should see when this update drops.

If you haven't seen the "oops" update in Miss Sunstone's livestream: Checking out the NEW Update & Upgrading My House on Coral Island!! | PC Early Access , you should watch it as it reveals many of the updates that will occur in the first "Feedback Update" as per their roadmap. Stairway Games indicated that their goal is to maintain saved files unless something fundamentally changes the game. Then your gold, inventory, farm layout, interior, and mastery levels will carry over.

How do you untill soil? I want to fix my crop layout but can't find how.

It takes into consideration temple offerings, museum donations and progress in the ocean! I noticed the biggest difference in my rank after finding all the solar orbs! Hope this helps- I will make a video on this matter soon, now that I’ve gotten a C rank myself!

You can! I’ll be making a video on it soon. There’s lots of other ways to make money in the winter if you don’t make it to a c rank in time (ranching, foraging, fishing etc), but also saving those wild seeds is super helpful!

@@kalliemoore5153 If you plant the wild seeds in winter you are almost guaranteed to get the tea leaves, so you will know for winter - for the most part. And I'm saying you that you can get a C rank before the first winter. :)
