It is definitely true where you live changes who you are. I have lived in many big cities and small towns; East Coast, Midwest, West Coast. I could feel my personality shifting due to unconscious social pressures and the environment of each place. I wish more people would realize this; it would solve a lot of our political problems.

Gosh, Abs you did it again! I have the highest level in the openness category and actually work remotely for a California-based company with friends from Washington, Montana, Colorado, and Arizona (i.e. the west coast part of the US which is ideal for persons who scored high in the openness category). Furthermore, Trinidad--where I live is similar to California so that explains my typically positive, sunshiney attitude :) As a type 2, I've always been curious about other cultures and traveling to places I've never been before. And yes, being locked in a tower sound like an absolute nightmare and viscerally uncomfortable :)

I live in Spain because I was born here and I'm an SCUEN (very closely SLUEN), but I'm not THAT extrovert, but I'm social. I like to live my day on my own but I have no problems socializing and I even like it. I like talking to people but not to the point of a total extrovert. Spain is a very social country. I'm planning to live in Australia, where I think people are not that different, but they're nicer tbh. I've always been focused on my goals more than people. Perhaps that will make me change into SCUAN, who knows 💀 (I'm a 3w4 sp/so and I love stress)

Meh, I'd say I'm pretty high on neuroticism and I don't know about the advice to move somewhere really cut-throat where it's hard to make a living. The last thing I want to do is *exacerbate* my neuroticism.

it's totally up to you! I'm the same way as you -- I long for the calm of San Diego. Because I'm neurotic enough on my own. But some people like that push -- and to be among people who *get* them
