Not only are you speaking of making gardening accessible, you are also demonstrating your skills at successfull gardening and garden to table benifits. At the end of 2018 I suffered a brain concussion while gardening in my orchard. Since the accident I remain mindful of my thoughts and ask for support from my partner when I'm not sure of what I'm taking on concerning heavy physical tasks. The physician in the hospital deemed me homicidal and I'm very proud to say I haven't killed off any of my orchard plants since the accident. A few human beings have visited my bamboo garden, orchard, and potted garden. They all went home alive with something to plant. Subscribing to various gardening channels helps immensely with overcoming my limitations and reaching goals. Forever grateful for candid humane sharing and climbing mountains. Hope this conveys inspiration for joyful gardening to all. Staying mindful.

Tbh, they may help prevent future issues if you’re in the garden a lot! After I finally bought myself one of those little canvas seats, I kept thinking to myself “why didn’t I buy one of these years ago??” So much easier on my back!

Girl!!!! I'm disabled and love my garden and I'm really struggling lately. I feel like everything I enjoyed been stolen from me bc of my illnesses..and even simple chores have become this monumental task! I was basically about to give up hope. Then you came up! I'm def going to try that kneeler/seat!

They don't know about these things. I had to give it up completely. But I do sit in my rollater/walker in the kitchen too using s garden planters are so close i cant manage to do most tasks. Cooking is so much more. possible with that. And our cousins beds are too close to roll between them. I had 40 plants in my apartment. Try succulents. , sweet potato vines, a cherry tomato plant; , and several old fashioned ones, like mother in law tongues, scheffelera, bi colored ivy, lots of other low care plants. This is a good video 😊😊

Yes! Gardening has become so much easier since I got myself one of those benches and a retractable garden hose! I also installed a watering system and a timer, so I don't have to worry about watering my garden every morning in summer! It's automated! ❤ Perfect for those days where I can barely get out of bed because of the pain 😊❤ May your harvests be bountiful, and your pain levels low! ❤

This has always been an issue for me! I find it difficult to find tools and other items that help me. I have RA and though I’ve had joints replaced it’s still painful to do the things I love to do. Gardening is also my exercise but you’re right there should be more people talking these products up!

I don’t do a lot of gardening but when I do it’s a chore! Living with severe chronic pain is a pain in itself and this is a great way to expose gardening to those who can’t get down on their hands and knees and spend a whole lot of time doing chores that HURT.

Yes! Everyone deserves to be able to garden

well, some of us have been thinking about this for quite some time. Since the pandemic, one of the things that I do as part of the work with my church, is Go around and build systems for people who have lost their level of ability, usually during the pandemic. I think these innovations are wonderful, but not so many people can afford these more expensive versions of things. We build our own versions of many of them, and some use hydroponic techniques. But it is important that people are talking about it.

I love that hose reel! I have to get water from my kitchen which is at the back of my house, and I have to use a watering can at the moment, which I can only fill and carry maybe twice before I have to sit down. I'd still need to have a hose going throughy house, but if i could connect that to an outdoor retractable hose, that would make things so much easier. I'm also wondering if I could get an outside tap installed at the front of my house? (I live in a Victorian terraced house that is several rooms deep, and my garden is at the front of the house. Im still in the process of sorting out a garden that I can manage, with raised beds and water butts. I have limited energy and mobility after having a stroke.

Wish you had links for the products because I am lazy lol hope I can find them!! These are useful ideas!

I literally don't know anything about your condition, only that you mentioned chronic pain and locking joints. I'd only like to ask if you have gotten a chiropractor's opinion? Your spine is connected to everything and I will forever be thankful for my first trip to the chiropractor. My entire life changed and I'll never stop going.

Vertical planter events you from having to bend yet you have to bend to plant or weed or harvest from the bottom planter. But those are some great ideas.

They don’t really require any weeding. And you can sit on the kneeler/stool combo to harvest the bottom layer.

Garden is slowly being converted into disability friendly spaces. Including installation of reticulation on raised beds. Timer taps. But that trowel is great. A camping shovel works good too. THE PARSLEY PATCH Geraldton Western Australia 🇦🇺 ❤

You’ve hit it on the nail! I had a back injury and am still recovering, but man is it a lot harder to do the garden chores I used to do in one day with no problems or pain. Now it’s both! It’s a struggle, but it makes you stronger. Never give up. 👏 It’s very important not to overdo it and injure yourself further. You’ve got a goldmine of an idea here.
