    I dont "like" celery either. However, i put it in my soups and stews, and by the time the dish is ready, you can't even tell its celery and gives them such amazing flavor. 😊

    I have one raised bed ready to plant but we’re having 90 to 100+ degrees weather so I suppose anything I plant will die in a minute.

    on the upshot, maybe with a cold frame your ground will be warm enough to give you some sweet and very tasty cole crops come fall/early winter?

    I have that kneeler/bench. Very handy to not tear up my knees or get super dirty. Sometimes you just want to sit in your garden without bringing it back into the house with you. 😂

    I love mint. Having a plan to contain it and sticking to that plan is very important. Not cutting it back, or even worse, letting it seed can really let it take over! But, I love my mints, even if I end up having to cut patches with a string trimmer and use them to mulch 😂

    In the summer all you need are a couple of 12 v solar fans and automatic windows on a thermostat. I sometimes black out a couple of windows but fans and fresh air is a must

  • @thecottagepeach
    @thecottagepeach2 күн бұрын

    fans definitely help but can only keep things as cool as the ambient outside temps

    @@thecottagepeach hello loving your channel 👍yes that’s correct. I grow plants that are susceptible to mould and I find air movement at night when the humidity gets high really helps. I still get some mould but Farr less

    Do you find that the typical "hot" varieties of peppers stay hot for your region? I know that New Mexico is famous for their hot chilis because of how many days of high heat and dryness they get makes for spicier peppers. Also, do you overwinter your peppers or grow them from seed every year?

  • @thecottagepeach
    @thecottagepeach2 күн бұрын

    It's hard to say, since I don't have peppers grown in a hotter climate to compare to, and I don't like a ton of heat anyways, so maybe for the best if things aren't quite as spicy here for me! I've grown from seed and nursery starts but going to try and overwinter some this year.

    I have chronic pain and the struggle is real. A lot of people look at me and think I'm making it up, I look 12, I'm 20, they don't seem to understand that young people can have pain too. I'm hypermobile, so I constantly injure my joints due to my unfortunate flexibility. It's really rough dealing with this kinda stuff, hang in there ❤

    Wow! I'd LOVE to have a garden this big, it sounds heavenly. So little space where I live but I'm sure if i just utilized the space I have well, i could grown more things than I'd expect. Is gardening your full time job? Or like, the KZread channel? I'm sure it's hard work, but looks so fun. I have a spider KZread channel I'm trying to make into something, but it's so hard to find time to grow it 😂 Thanks for your channel! You have such great ideas and it makes gardening feel more achievable!
