Love the Meadows reference. I never had the pleasure to meet him in person but I considered him (and still do) one of my best mentors. Informative, entertaining, innovative. John had all these qualities but what I appreciated most about him was his never ending kindness, respect and open mindedness to learn from others, even after decades of experience. He was such a gentle giant and is still missed to this day. Thanks Eugene for keeping his legacy alive.

The minute u said that ppl are more concerned about progressing plates weight and losing all the other parameters of the performance as cadence and form I liked. I'm on the team of doing the exercises slowly to actually feel that mind muscle connection!

@@petrruzicka3461 weight is not an absolute indicator of strength. The physics of a given movement will determine the load and the relative leverage needed to overcome that load. If you have a plate loaded machine loaded with a platform at 30 degrees vs 45 degrees that will completely alter the relative load you experience. The reason why people think leg press is easy is because they position themselves at the top of the platform, shorten the range of motion and utilize their hips, whereas if you sit at the bottom of the platform and utilize heel drive, the emphasis shifts.
You weren’t kidding. Probably the most informative leg video per second on KZread. Sub, liked, and finished.

Love your videos and I have learned A LOT from them. Getting up is what makes the champions! Wishing speedy recovery for you from Finland! Hitting my personal bests atm in the "soldier style" bench press (legs up, I haven't done the normal version in 2 years) so this was more than great reminder. And if someone is now wondering what my pb's might be: 5x5 110kg with 90kg bw :)
Straight to business...major like!
i honestly love this video style. short and informative, they are waaay easier and more fun to watch, especially when you dont have much freetime inbetween work and the gym :)
Quick, no bs, and to the point. I love it. Caught my sub and a like :)

perfect video!
The idea of challenge sets 1-4 weeks or so is a great concept to mention! As a beginner lifter I feel there’s a heavy misconception on how much volume we should start of with which results in a lot of beginners overtraining rather than approaching their training more strategically to maximize strength goals and recovery. I’m Greatful for your videos and knowledge ! I’ve been debating the past few weeks if I should take a break on back squat and just work on my leg press tech and hax squat strength but this video gave me the clarity I needed.
you are one of my favorite source of information regarding bodybuilding along side with Sean Nalewanyj! good job bro!
thanks for the reminder !!!!!! Its good to be brought down to earth to the basics!!!

Consistency is so important, I’m a disabled lifter and I built decent quads by doing only leg extensions, abductor machines, and very light machine leg press, it took forever but got there eventually lol

I’m disabled too, unable to lift heavy. Any tips for building muscle? It’s hard to stay motivated when I don’t see any progress, which I’m fine with being slow, but sometimes idk if I’m making any progress at all cuz I’m not going all out
