Very true!! My partner and I have been together for 14 years and we behave as though we are in this ongoing honeymoon phase and u think after so long things would get boring or u might run out of things to be excited about. NOPE! In fact, the more you bond and get comfortable the more exciting it CAN and WILL be if you allow it. I think one major problem is people lose their individual identity in each other and it’s usually one sided. One of the individuals will keep their individual identity while the other loses themselves in that one’s. So that’s a big piece of it. Also, after the initial excitement starts to fade and we start to see our partners flaws or things we may have dismissed before, we have a tendency to become so hyper focused on what we don’t like instead of what we do like or what they are not doing instead of what they are doing. There is NO reason for that other than depending on that other person for the way you feel. Your happiness is your responsibility just as much as theirs is their responsibility. When you truly grasps this concept then you have no reason to focus on those small things that would bother you bc it does not matter. The only thing that matters is seeing them for the perfectly imperfect person you fell in love with and appreciating them for ALL that they are and accepting it. Loving them any way, whether they are in a good mood or not. Don’t ever let a day go by without letting them know how much they are appreciated but don’t forget to love yourself just as much as them if not more and take care of yourself just as you would them. That has been our “secret” to keeping the excitement and passion alive for all this time. It’s been amazing 🤩 oh ya and we leave notes for each other often too 😊

One of the most important thing is that people don't take time to know themselves first, before engaging another one... If they don't take the enough time to know and to love themselves first, they can't expect great things in marriage...

That may work for them and that is cool! My hubby and I have been married 29 years. We have known each other for 34 years we have a son and one daughter and one grand daughter.. all that this man is talking about is not necessary.. the thing that works is let your partner be themselves. Do not try to change them. Show respect. Everything flows.. My brother and his wife have also been married for many years.. no need for books or classes These people have just found a way to capitalize on what they call the perfect relationship... I guess if that work for them kudos!

ok... so just being a realist here. I understand this person is a bit older so maybe has a little more time but these things only work when there is wanted involvement from both parties. Once a week sex dates, nap every day, casual stroll around my beautiful garden, yea that sounds amazing and I'm sure those things would have a positive impact on any relationship. But when its already slipped into a fantasy-bond or you're in damage control, how do you come back from that? I feel like thats more what many people are looking for. I congratulate this man on what sounds like an amazing life but from the perspective of someone who doesnt have these luxuries available and who's wife is absolutely exahusted when she returns from work, who has 3 kids.... I'm sorry but its perceived as a bit more insensitive with almost a touch of "look at my life". I'm not trying to say the advice is wrong, I just dont think it can be applied to the majority of peoples' situations who are seeking honest help. (steps off soap box)

4:30 at this point my question is what if you have set everything up and done everything possible to make sure that it goes that way but when it comes down to the point in time your partner's too tired or can't make up their mind on something to do with you. I've tried time and time again to make sure that my partner and I go out and do things together the kids will be gone. But then it's like he's not even interested in trying or wanting to engage in sexual activities/ doesn't make an effort or even a move. As if he doesn't care.

If my relationship with my husband fails to contribute to having sex with him as feels like torture, i do not want to fix it by simply doing it:((. But, it's a true fact that the problem of not having sex can be fixed by having it! Lol! :) just force yourself a little and the problem is solved!

If it’s really important to you, you’ll make it happen excuses will always be there. Many of these things are very doable like he said it doesn’t have to be overnight and most of the other things require no extra money just you making room for those things to happen. If they do require extra money then make adjustments there as well. Most Americans buy a bunch of junk and waste their time doing things they don’t have to and then blame their problems on everything and everyone else when they have complete control of their choices.

Having a girlfriend on the side or cheating in general helps a great deal. Not only do you-never appear needy, you always have 1 up on them all the time. If you can’t risk a girlfriend on the side , hookers work just as well. No one is the wiser.

#1 Tip An overnight fuck date every week no matters what, #2 An hour per day alone time, #3 A week vacation every year... Must be nice. I am so screwed if this is what it takes. I learned in Anthropology 101 that "until death do us part" dates back to caveman days. A time when life expectancy was under 30 years. Maybe we aren't meant to be with a partner for more than that.
