The way you described how you play Banjo both aggressively and as a zoner, it reminds me of how I play Young Link and Robin. Maybe I should be a Young Link main, with Robin as my secondary.

It’s nice to know that I’ve been using pickachu and sheik I really enjoy the fast characters like sheik, pickachu, pichu, and other people

this is literally the ONLY video that helped me find who I want to main I've mained so many characters for like a month, Kirby, Byleth, hell even frickin Steve. But now I know that Inkling is probably the character I'll end up maining. I really like the rush down playstyle, I like Splatoon as a whole and all the references in their moveset give me joy looking at them genuinely thanks for this, there's no way I could have found my main any other way :)

Comitting to Bowser in Melee must have been hard... I feel for you. I'm an Incineroar main by the way (although Terry is a close second)- I like fast, hard hitting combos and all or nothing offstage plays. I like hearing other people's mains, so comment your main! (or not, I'm not your mom)

I’m trash with Incin, but he’s a lot of fun to mess around with! I also never got into competitive Melee, I only played it casually when I was a kid. I only recently learned he’s the worst character in the game (oof)

@@JayoticMTG I have a lot of respect for Banjo mains- the intricate duality of Banjo is both slightly aggravating and strategically fascinating. I tried maiming Banjo, but either couldn't pin his combos down or otherwise didn't get the results I wanted from him. I still love him in smash, and I love those old Banjo-Kazooie games too- the 3d platformer is one of my favorite gaming genres. I really like your channel by the way. I was really surprised to see your subscriber count, because I assumed funny, helpful, quality content like this would be so much more successful. Keep being you, and just make awesome videos! One question: which character do you think encapsulates most of the traits of base Joker while also capturing the creative aspects of a character like Link. I am asking this because I've been struggling to find main after I dropped Sonic for months now. I looked at my smash stats and from what it says it looks like Link is my best character, but the character I like the most is Joker.

characters closer to joker would be sheik, pichu, pikachu the fast swordies in chroy and pythra are in between cloud and ike are a bit slower swordies or you could just main joker or link two characters I don’t know why I think this but I feel like you might enjoy rob and also there is yink who is very much in between link and joker cheers mate

Squirtle (or Pokemon Trainer in general), Ridley, Falco, Pikachu, Pichu, Joker, Game & Watch, Meta-Knight, Sora, Pit, Dark Pit, Greninja, Palutena, Bayonetta and Byleth. 👍

As someones already said fox...or if for some reason you're a masochist who hates winning, little Mac is supposed to be exactly this, early kills with powerful smash attacks and light + he's actually surprisingly good at not being combo food if played well

I'm a Robin main (not a popular choice) but I like Edge guarding and ledge trapping so I like Robin :)

I am like the worst person to pick a main. I grew up on games like Minecraft, Halo, and Crash Bandicoot since I was overall an Xbox and PlayStation kid. I know who all the characters are and the games they came from, but don’t have too much of a connection to any of ‘em. I love Steve and all the references throughout his move-set, but I don’t like playing that campy, especially with such small hit boxes on his attacks. I’ve had the most success with characters like Mario, Cloud, and Little Mac, but don’t feel all that attached to the character themself. I struggle to find my own play style. I like a mix of everything. I like the option to zone from the edges, I like the option to balance myself out with neutral game, and I like the option to go all in rush down on the opponent. So that’s where I’m at lmao.

Man, I want to main cloud or sepheroth, but I feel like they won't be in the next installment of smash so I just play link or marth. Considering they won't be removed, picking a main has gotten to a point of being just plain infuriating because I can't enjoy myself knowing cloud and all my time spent on that character will all go to waste if he isn't in the next game

Im bad at moving my hand fast to combo but i like rushforward or speed character any idea of some character? it is also unnattural for me to do tilt im unable to move and then directly change into do a tilt

For the tilts situation, changing your controls to tilt stick would be a big help. R stick will let you use tilts on the ground. For rushdown characters, I’d recommend Captain Falcon or any of the Star Fox characters.

L A N D M A S T E R Fr how am i good at fox without practicing him, hes hard to learn for most players, guess im just good with that kind of playstyle I basically just like spamming nair and dash attack and running around while trying to rack up some damage with little combos so that i can get an up smash f smash or even a good ol’ jab reset, though the jab resets i suggest the least since they can be tricky to land, i also don’t really like taking risks and going offstage so basically fox suits me a lot

Thank you jayotic44 theres a charachter that i have the numbers 2 And 4 Also known as bowser jr He is a good main for me cuz i like airials that are quick and he is my favorite boss in super mario for the wii

Quick tip. if your enemy is a counter to your main or darn DLC 😒. if you can beat 'em cheese 'em by countersuing them or cheese the heck out of them with dedede or someone and throw the tier lists out the window trust me after whatching a teir list I'm "ok boys let me show you how honest the character really is"

i have a very hit-and-run kind of play style where i'll hardpress the opponent for a few moments, then back up to regroup. can anyone suggest some characters?

You’ll likely have an easier time switching between characters that way!

Ive got 100,000 mains and 1,000,000 more on the way.

I’m having trouble really choosing someone, I like to jump a lot with quick aerials and grab a lot. Anyone have any suggestions??

It's a good idea, but I'm not really well versed enough in many other games to confidently deliver something like this.

Nothing wrong with Meta Knight, but you can always try Pika if you’re looking for competitive viable

Yeah, beating fighters in WoL unlocks them for you in the rest of the game

I have a tip to find your main. Usually their is that one character that you say, ok, that character seems too weird for me to main and you never choose that character [for me at the time this was lucina]. Try that character, I did and it worked.

I think I’m ok but I’ve been using donkey Kong since 2016 but he just sucks so fucking bad and I hate loosing I want to be good maybe even the best but donkey Kong I just can’t do anything with him anymore he’s my lowest character in online too

I genuinely like Corrin, I even mained her near the end of Smash 4. She’s far more unique than Marths 2-4, but her reveal left a sour taste in everyone’s mouths

I played Melee as a casual kid, so I had no concept of tier lists haha. Didn't learn that Bowser was bottom tier until 2020
