I'm inclined to agree. They can be countered easily enough: turning into skip bombers, out maneuvering 39 knot torps. And the planes get roasted if you pick the wrong targets!

i didn't knew that about skip bombers, I always aimed to the last line and let them bounce xD good to know, now i can improve the bombing

Other suggestions for inspirations: Tanaka and Fournet to increase damage from your planes ordinance. Great tips, as usual. I already use most of them.

I think there was an error in the Commander inspirations. Boyd reduces detectability of ships from aircraft, not aircraft detectability to ships. This can be confirmed via the aircraft and ship detectability stats. Therefore I would recommend a different inspiration for that slot, perhaps Iona or the French guy with increased HE damage.

How do I get planes to reload faster? I run out of them

Only Kromsomolets was made. She was converted and was later scrapped. She never entered service. No Soviet Carriers were built until 1970. In favor of ground and Air warfare against the germans and not the navy and just left with WWI technologies. Especially when their shipyards are small

Met a lot of these at the beginning of the update (didn't played since wednesday 1st week) and imo these are fairly balanced, they have a lot of drawbacks, at tier 7 US BBs, JB and Kii absolutly annihilate the planes, torps are so easy to dodge its not even fun, and skip bombs don't do a lot of damage to BBs, as for the good points of these ships you said it all in your video Imagine not adding Flandre next update 🇨🇵😜

Only thing that I don’t like about russian cv, is that I’ll lose 5 planes to a destroyer while my planes are retreating. They have no retreat survivability

Does this have bad concelment since 14.3 on serov

I don't usually like recommending damage% inspirations but I'm going to have to heavily disagree with AL Atago. The planes themselves will give away making AL Atago's inspiration pointless. Instead if you don't have Space Fishy I would suggest Tanaka or literally anyone else. CVs don't have a lot of useful inspirations but AL Atago's is one of those that's practically harmful due to being an event commander.

Its hard to argue back without having torp detectability stats to calculate rx time. But even if a player knows you dropped on them, they still have to see the torpedoes to be able to dodge them. 200 less meters makes a big difference. Also, my 14/3 Tanaka adds 234 damage per torp. My best games had 20 torp hits which equates to less than 5000 damage. The one thing I will agree with you on: CVs don't have a lot of useful inspirations.

Hey Derka great vid. Not personally a fan of planes in this boat game. Have you ever thought of doing a poll of your subs to see what percentage actually want CVs in the game? I'd love to know how the player base feels, because to me its seems WG is feeding this to us against our will.

I guess I would be curious as well, the biggest thing I hear from my viewers is that they just find the game play kind of boring, and not very fun. They would rather be in another class if ship

"Everyone hates CVs" Wait until Nakhimov is available to you guys, if you think Pobeda is bad, Nakhimov is the worst of them all

Not only are they boring, but I refuse to inflict a CV game on the other players in the lobby. Now, if EVERYONE did that, we'd be better off. Still, it's not terrible. Only 1 out of 15 or 20 games have been ruined since they dropped these things 12 months ago, so I can't complain too loudly...

I think they add another facet to gameplay that I don't mind. But I would agree that their playstyle is less exciting than being in another ship class. Let me go shred in a cruiser or a destroyer. Its just more fun
