Definitely a subscriber! Thanks for this, I have 5 bichirs, and 2 ropes co existing great, I have two platinum babies waiting to be released when older. Can’t wait for that day! I too have lost a del from loose lids, I like to buy two of each for a “pair” but my other del lost his partner 😢 I don’t take lid locking down lightly now! I’m trying to soften my water but always seems to be maxed out general hardness.. I use almond leaves, some moss stuff you add to canister filters. I have had spider wood galore and I’ve done water changes with 40-50% water changed and then added 30-40gs of distilled water! Which I tested and was 100% completely soft water. Tested it the main tank and it still was showing hardest on the chart. I don’t get it.. I am trying very hard to soften my water but can’t seem to change it, I use prime chemicals, I was using the “API”? brand I think it’s called but it wasn’t doing it either! Idk anyways great video and absolutely beautiful specimens 😍

Great video! I've got two weather loaches and a few zebra danios in the tank. Would love one of these guys - but worried about them eating the zebra danio? Would they?

Awesome video. Great to see anything about this amazing fish. A few days ago I saw some babies in a tank at a post store, and they were so small, I thought the words "dinosaur eel" was a joke. Now I see what they become!!

Would a 55 gal be enough for one senegal? Maybe a tank mate or 2?

new to having these, technically i have 2 seneguls and 1 dragonfish? style. bought tank and them off someone that needed to get rid of em they told me flake food. i got the tank for my 2 blue channel catfish so i added all the fish (2 cat, 2 sens, dragon, 2 pleco ) i threw in feeder rosy red about 20 of em last night for the cats, i was shocked to see em all gone so i did some research came across your video and realized they prolly ate them also lol good video i hope my light sand doesn't take from the dragonfish... he's black with yellow spots. luckily my pleco's stay away i hope for now... i also have 5 mystery snails and plenty of cover for all the fish and lots of plants bushy thin thick and tall ones for cover also! made lids last night out of small thin like paneling but no design i flex sealed it and they stay decent but this is my third day of learning i hope all goes well thanks for the vid!

Thank you for the amazing information about the bishirs. Do you feed the tilapia fish cooked or raw to the bishirs?
