Hello everyone - I doubt anyone is checking in on this channel, but if you are: this message is for you. It's unlikely I post on this channel again anytime soon, if ever. My sister passed away in March, after a two-year battle with cancer. She had just turned 34. We were very close. I don't want to overshare, so I'll just say that seeing everything I did over the course of the past couple of years has really changed my perspective on a lot of things. I'm in my early '20s now, and all of a sudden I don't have any immediate family members left and in my life. It's like, what happened here? How can that be? As you can imagine, it's almost impossible to find anyone my age who can relate to that. Why is any of this relevant to the channel? Well, I've found that I like to (and honestly need to) focus on positive things these days, and want to make meaningful content that I'm passionate about. Could that apply to Star Wars? Absolutely! I just have no interest in making throwaway videos about "new Star Wars game coming!", or "EA just screwed up again", or that sort of thing. I made a lot of videos like that, especially the first couple of years after Battlefront 2 released, but honestly... the "journey" (bit of a dramatic word to use, I know) of this channel taught me a lot. I eventually realized that it was the content I really put a lot of effort into that I was proud of, and people really responded to. That was a lesson I was very slow to realize, but I'm glad I did. If there is ever another Battlefront game, or a similar competitive multiplayer Star Wars game, I'd love to come back and make guides. I love that there are still thousands of people watching my old guides every day. Thank you to everyone who has ever supported this channel in any way. For now though, I'm doing well, and I hope you are too. *insert Han Solo outro song*

I prefer this tbh because you'd make the stronger heroes cost more and then wouldn't need to worry as much about balance. Not that the in game cost had anything to do with a heroes in game power, but it could have been if done better.

@@fetch9304 yes but even then it was bad. It did have more damage, but it was much harder to hit target(s) and was more likely to run into something like cover, floor or ceiling and bounce back prematurely

Played the beta and got the game Christmas that same year and played regularly up until about 3 months ago. It's crazy to think I was only 17 when the game came out. Made the early adult years way more bearable lol

I remember hearing around that Battlefront would get updates and running to this channel. So much excitement and joy. Miss those times.

I missed when Grievous could get in that one last kill with the Claw Rush ability, after the duration of the ability was finished, he could get one last kill by moving back to his normal stance and practically stepping on whoever was in front of him. Now you can't do that with him.

It was funny when hvv had a target system and target boba would fly up to thos ehigh pillars where jedi-only teams couldn't do shit to him :)

I remember when you had to unlock every character/ship. Then ppl cried about it. Also when the selection screens were holograms

You forgot how broken supercharged sentry was at the start as well. Arguably it was worse than explosive shot dc15 for how quickly it melted troops and heroes. Then of course there was OG anakin but he was a bit later for release.

Yeah it looked less cool but I think it was a lot better. You could actually reliably deflect blaster bolts back at the target instead of AWAY from them, meaning your rush would always inherently do more damage

These things really justify the way I play now after I returned. I still completely ignore mauls saber throw, randomly hit palpatines lightning towards walls, sometimes initially wonder about what little damage boba does with his rockets and get instant PTSD if I see explosive shots. But despite that I liked the game more in its first couple of months and maybe its nostalgia wise, but idk. The playerbase was less toxic, no one shot at heros because they were too afraid, people didn't bug abuse as much ( palpatine era excluded) and the pathways of players were easily predictable, except on Kashyyyk, not even mentioning that no one knew these Masterflank paths.

Man, this channel has blown up since last I saw it. Glad that people still love Battlefront! Dice really got their game together with the Geonosis update!

I remember ALL of these things. I EXTREMELY remember the explosive show in the DC-15 LE, I used it A LOT when it was broken. The heavy class is still overpowered to this day, but I miss the explosive shot from the DC-15LE. I also remember that Emperor Palpatine had to be removed when he can EVEN electrocute people THROUGH an AT-AT! I was like, “Okay, EA and DICE NEED to nerf him.” Anakin comes out, “Hold my beer.”

i’m on battlefront right now and there’s two people in my galactic assault lobby. it’s so sad. i hope EA turn around and make this game great again or have a fresh start on another game with the same basics but regular updates and more stuff. let someone else do it for a change and see what happens hopefully 🙏🏼

I remember (for Chewbacca) when you could hit the jump button, then hit the slam button and he'd just do a massive slam right on the spot

I remember these as an og player, this year was one of the most boring of my life and this game was my only escape, ive decided you only need the office ans heavy classes to do almost everything. Taking an objective you need the officer with a shield and defuser. Taking an objective you need supercharged sentry and granade launcher. You can even kill a hero with a well placed sentry and detonite charge

I used to play this everyday. I recently returned to the game and I gotta say I remember when bossk and grievous didn't feel like a sandbag that couldn't jump

Honestly as much as these bugs were annoying to deal with, i feel like it made this game so much more fun and competitive to play, i remember how much fun finn’s deadeye and anakin used to be or back when it was so easy to rank up battle points with officers, all these bugs and glitches made this game a memory ill forever treasure 🙏😂

This game honestly made one of the biggest 180°s and turned into something amazing

I don’t play battlefront 2 anymore but I remember that I placed 3rd in the beta out of I think 10,000 people and won $100 through Xbox. God I remember how fun it was!!!
