    5:00 I enjoy the rattle it gives it character like how an older jeep charoke with a lot of miles screams like a bat when you start it up

    1. the 4th gen wrx/sti headlights dont fit in the 3rd gen which are better looking & easily upgradeable anyway. 2. cobb turbo shields arent oem & the oem turbo shields dont rattle. 3. the paint fade is 100% caused by owner neglect. 4. the stock radio sounds awesome in my base 13 wrx compared to my girlfriends limited 17 wrx, and you could've gotten a touch screen & nav deck if you chose the premium or limited! 5. the 5spd is awesome & whoops the sti in the 1320 cuz of gear ratios & less shifts, and the sti 6spd still revs to 3k in 6th at 70mph. drone will happen no matter which transmission you have with an aftermarket catback with resonator & muffler deletes! if you bought this sports sedan for road trips then leave the stock exhaust on it.

    I got a 2013 wrx. I am the Og owner. I only have about 34k on it. For the price, it is a fun car. Not the fastest and for sure doesn't have the best interior but for the price a great driving experience. I have two other cars that my wife and I use as our daily. manual four-door sedans will come extinct before long. Going to keep the dub till the wheels fall off.

    Thats the way to do it 🔥 I love it but once she’s paid off or at least have all of my negative out of it I’m definitely looking into some boosted American Muscle. Nothing in the immediate future but it’s a goal for me 👍

    I had the head shield rattle. I also had an issue with fuel cuts. The latter turned out to be the TurboXS DP that came with the vehicle (my buddy sold me the ride). When I bought an Invidia DP, that actually solved both the fuel cuts AND head shield vibration issue. Turns out, the upper O2 bung on the DP was what caused the rattle. I don't think the stock heat shield had the issue.

    @@DanDrivesYT I think I put up with it for like a year before I finally found out what was up! Since then, few more mods and enjoyment until recently. Sounds like I have a bearing going out in the engine. It's currently in the shop, getting that diagnosed. Have a Stage 2 block picked out for the likely rebuild. It's a fun car, not ready to give it up just yet!

    What’s the stock bov hack?

  • @DanDrivesYT

    @DanDrivesYT

    2 жыл бұрын

    I’ve seen some people put a little metal block off plate to the bov which would send the charge back through the turbo to make the flutter noise. After I’ve been learning so much more about engines and forced induction systems at school this is definitely not something I would recommend. The Cobb SF intake actually makes the blowoff sound so much louder and with a tune it is definitely the way to go unless you have a custom tune done with an aftermarket external bov

  • @DanDrivesYT

    I’d try to look for one with lower miles on it personally. Unless they have a record of all of the maintenance and upgrades done to it. If the clutch hasn’t been replaced in a while I’d try to steer clear of it (can get pricey and is a bit annoying to do) and also check for any check engine lights. I’d definitely check all fluids especially the oil to make sure there is no water in the oil. They are notorious for blowing head gaskets. As long as it runs smooth and everything checks out I feel it’d be a safe bet and make sure you’re getting a decent price. People do tend to beat on them.
