That last story is fascinating... Now if I assume it to be real it sounds like JVK there does some rather interesting things, which indeed does make me think it would have at the bare minimum a malware like component to it (as it's accessing the pictures' folder, as well as making the "assassin" appear even in the baseline game - So it's definitely doing suspicious things for a game mod.) What it does would be quite easy to start looking into without even playing it (though a playtest would offer far more insight) if one had access to the files that came with the supposed mod (and knew a thing or two about how Morrowind is coded/other code wizardy) it would be possible to open the files up via some sort of coding software that is compatible with them and examine the coding to figure out what exactly it's doing, and what it's changing to lock for example console powers. - Without any actual knowledge I assume this to be a simple case of adding a bit of code where the console is simply disabled by a line of code (Perhaps just a simple case of changing a value from "true" to "false" to make things not work?) that would probably not be too hard to remove and still keep the rest of it working. As for the creepy twist of the person being impacted to the point of hallucinations/disappearing: Could be stress aye; Or they had an underlying mental illness condition that this kind of spooky mystery really did not mingle well with. You never know with folk on the internet, and mental illnesses are quite common as a whole. That is if it ever existed to begin with. As after all: Things that go bump in the night have this strange tendency of sometimes just being stories.

With how odd the Manimals glitch is, I have to wonder if someone at R* didn't intentionally put something in the game to make it happen randomly. Its just such a strange occurrence and Ive never heard of anything else like it in any other game.

When you make fake games that are supposedly from 1989, at least make them look like something that matches the style of the console and computer games of that era. This looks like a shitty flash game. The pixels don't have a unified size, the color scheme, while greyscale, has too many tones. And the complexity of that game is on par with mid-90s point and click games. (First Monkey Island still used the verb system with no drag and drop)

The Manimals story reminded me of another I remember hearing years ago. About at least one instance, though it's possible there were multiple, of a Meteor streaking through the sky in Red Dead Redemption Online, it being bright enough for anyone online at the time to see it regardless of where they were in the map, and the craters where they impacted are even able to be found. Though they are slightly out of bounds of the map, I think right up to the edge of where you can go before the game respawns you back in bounds. I even remember finding videos of people going to these craters in game and telling the story, about how before those events those craters did not exist in game. And while it's possible someone was recording video of playing online when the event happened and uploaded it somewhere, far as I know no such videos exist. However with Meteorites being a mystery in Red Dead Redemption 2 now. Finding information about Meteors in the first Redemption is becoming more and more difficult to find as results for that game get drowned out by the sequel. I can't even find the old videos I've mentioned any more, instead all I get is "How to find Meteorites in Redemption 2!!!1!!".

I can shed some light on the manimals glitch. I am friends with someone who used to work at Rockstar and he said it was a glitch in the code that would occasionally spawn NPC's as animals. A read/load error to the code if you will. There is a reference to the horse woman in RD2 on a farm you can find the skeleton of a woman attached to a some old farm equipment with the skull of a horse. Rockstar making an in joke at their glitch

@@kazumakiryu8231 It was a funny glitch. Stumped the devs for a bit (according to my friend). Not too sure of the technical side of it...but the basic issue was the game would rarely confuse NPC human models with animals because they got lumped in a directory that if certain values lined up would spawn one of these abominations. Even the devs were surprised the A.I. was versatile enough to manipulate human bodies with animal algorithms. That was back when Rockstar gave a 💩. Hence why my friend left recently.

Wrong, there was actually one, and it was ultimately very mundane. It was MARIO. Beat for beat, the story was true: The author found a creepy ROM hack on a forum and played through it. There was a spooky picture in it. ... And that was pretty much it. The creator of the hack came forward and explained why they made it and everything. Nothing supernatural, just someone making horror content and posting it without context.

Imo what makes a game's glitches good is how easy they are to find. If the average player can't find it (Fallout 76 failed here) but should be easy to find if you are a glitch hunter who is actively looking. Breath of the Wild is really good at this because it seems polished but if you watch a little KZread you can do crazy stuff with ease
