Thank you for another great video. The fact you mentioned your hand and not being able to wear rings on it, spoke to me and what I have just gone through. I am 77, and after a flare up of arthritis, totally out of the blue, it seemed, I had to have my diamond wedding ring cut off my finger by a jeweler, because of the increase in size of my knuckles. I never take it off even at night. I ended up in tears walking out of the jewelry store. I am at a loss as to what to do with the diamond and feel bad for my husband. We have been married 33 years. You always look so put together. Somehow just that split second of sharing your story helped me feel better about the situation. I will have another ring or necklace made with the diamond, but my finger still feels bare. I want to say "thank you" for being transparent and real. You helped me walk through this moment in time!!

This happened to my mother as well. Her jeweler was able to put on a springed hinge so she could take it on and off. I, too suffer with arthritic hands and am no longer able to wear my beautiful collection of rings.

Just had my gold band of 53 years expanded at my jeweler. Doesn't hurt to,ask a few jewelers to see if they can help you. Good luck!

Re: buckles on shoes, if you don't want to buy new shoes with buckles, you can get clip-on buckles that would work with most pumps and flats.

Frumpy to me means clothes that do not fit well or clothes that do not suit your body proportions. A person could have purchased pieces that are on trend or in the seasons top colors and still end up looking frumpy if the clothes are sized wrong or do not suit their body proportionally.

@@BethDjalali, I have to agree somewhat with ginacline. Per the dictionary, the word frumpy comes from the word frumpish, which can mean a person who is dowdy, drab, and unattractive. It can also mean dull and old-fashioned, which would agree with your definition. I think it comes down to how someone has heard the word used previously. I personally have never connected the word frumpy to dated.

Thanks for the great ideas. I just got a lovely pair of hunter green silk trousers from Carlisle. I naturally gravitated to mixing it with a tan silk wrap top and a beige viscose blazer from Talbots. But I’m trying out other color tops to see what works. I keep seeing that color green with navy or powder blue. Your thoughts?

You have many ideas that are great however I could not help but notice that your better color close to your face would be navy instead of black. Black seems to wash your face out. Just an observation. I too have similar coloring and have stopped wearing the color too close to my face. Jackets and cardigans seem to work with another color in between.

Frumpy for me means ill fitting or too baggy clothes or clothes that make me look older.

I hate denim. Never ever worn it in 85 years. Almost as bad as navy. Both are uniforms of safety.

Short hair is very aging
