I have only been collecting for two years. My uncle introduced me to your channel to help me get started and help with guidance. Followed your rules early on. Best way to go. Haven’t lost money yet.

Long run first appearance of gambit, sinister, jubilee, bishop, bastion, deadpool vs Wolverine, hulk 340. All potential 9.8. If I cared about keys. I cared about stories. Dark Phoenix, inferno, age of Apocalypse, onslaught.

Appreciate your perspectives. One item of disagreement is to buy low grade filler for runs. With patience you can find high grade filler for good prices. If I love the run, then I want to be proud of each book, not just check a box on a list.

Good rules! I try to stick to collecting only amazing Spider-Man, but i occasionally get key issues while never breaking the bank on getting them.

I agree with about half of this - but it's always helpful to get other people's opinions from time to time. Everyone should eventually establish their own rules, because they are the only ones that know their tastes and budgets.

Good commonsense rules for most people with limited incomes. I sometimes buy important books of characters that I don't care for if I can get a good deal for it to be used as trade bait to obtain books that I really want.

Great video buddy. Right now I’m upgrading a lot of my books since prices are so good. And I was able to grab one of my grails this year. Hopefully I’ll add one or two more big books by the end of the year

I'm collecting mostly error, recalled and some scarce book. Hope that's a good move, but I've always like this sort of things even MTG errors and oddities. Recently getting into original color guides.

Well if the commandments came from God and if you're a Christian you believe that Jesus Christ is God made flesh then he is still correct. Man I'm a Christian nerd and comic book nerd lol.

Interesting video - but what about purchasing graded versus non-graded books? Agree on buy what you love at what you can afford, but raw books for “new” collectors can be fraught with inaccurate grading. I would just - I sound old - generally for keys unless at a garage type sale - buy graded books. And on line never, ever EBay unless a highly verified seller. Last suggestion: non-keys or modern keys, grab them in 9.8s if you can. And excellent advice. I actually apologize for my comment if this is piling on!

Yooioooo good stuff I grabbed most of my ASM run from lots !! Try and buy the run in bulk so u do pay for each book 😮😮😮

I like all the rules but #1 .... just feel one needs to get the best highest grade copy one can buy for PC ,, buying a 2.5 key not goinna do anything for me

My biggest fear in collecting.. is to collect 25 long boxes of trash hidden in my closet lol. I only buy keys (from characters im interested in) I only slab books over $400, and keep below $400 raw. I dont colle t runs.. because imo its a waste of money (prove me wrong) quality over quantity. I DONT belive in low grade is better than no grade.. just save your $$ and be real.

These were some good pointers, might I add one more? Never pay an online sales person with PayPal friends and family. If you do not know them it’s a good way to lose your money and not get the book.

Does it have a barcode? Save it for kindlin in case of a winter power outage.

Those were not Moses' commandments. They were given to him by God of which Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity.

Quality over quantity 100%.

I have 50 graded books my top collection and about 25 non graded. I recently clicked up Batman 121 for a great deal 💪
