Yes, it is definitely hard. I, too was off dating sites & dating/mating period for 7years. I went back hoping that as a 50+ year old woman, the men would have matured a little. WRONG. Even those in church have adapted to the trends of this generation. Smh.

1. Confident men are not on dating apps. In order for a man to approach a woman in person it takes confidence. Confident men are walking up to women and introducing themselves. 2. Lazy men are on dating sites; the men who want women to be served up to them. They want a buffet. 3. A man who is hiding in plain sight; he’s wearing a mask. Women can see who he is in person, but he can hide himself behind the screen. 4. Men who want to scam are going to get on apps first. 5. It sends a message to men she is desperate. That guy who DM me late last week on Instagram claimed he was currently working in Africa but originally from Jersey City, NJ, saying they was coming back to the states soon. This is the 3rd time in weeks I met someone claiming that they were working in another country saying they were coming back home to the states soon. Come on, ain't nobody falling for that. I ended up blocking this person too as well as the others.

Yeah.. newly single and depressed over ex or bored and lonely. Most are lazy.. can’t set a date or actually ask you real questions to get to know you other than a few questions from your profile.. like favorite movie of genre or how’s your weekend. How’s your weekend is fine but then nothing else substantial. Which ones were you on? I only tried hinge and coffe meets bagel and felt vague / bad after a while

I was on dating apps during my mid 20s in the pandemic out of boredom and curiosity. One man I went on a dated with ghosted me and I asked him why he ghosted me. He said "Sorry I'm just picky" Guy two started off fine and then started showing abusive tendencies and saying my religious beliefs are stupid. He also revealed he was in court case for DUI crash with meth involved. Guy 3 ended up having a harem of women and self esteem issues. I'm in a much better mind state after deleting apps a year ago. I'm meeting quality men in real life. I've yet to meet a "normal" man on an app. A lot of them on there also have commitment issues because the app gives them delusion of their options.

Yes! No more dating apps. If the man can’t approach me, then it’s not meant to be. ✨👌🏾 my mom got married off a dating app and the man turned out to be dangerous and a scam artist. I thank God to this day that we got through that and are still alive. Keep telling the truth Tony. Let’s be honest. Dating apps benefit men exponentially. It opens the door for them to access women they’d never approach in real life. It’s easy and fun for most of them who aren’t seeking anything more than a good time. I’ve dabbled on dating apps and luckily had good dates. However, I can attest that the these guys were NEVER who they presented themselves to be.

Watched a criminal psychologist who spoke on this matter. She said that the serial criminals (scammer, rapists) and killers she has interviewed and worked with say they love the internet and these dating apps are a blessing. Both have made 'hunting' so much easier and accessible. Scary!!!

Dating sites are hook up sites, you’re not going to find someone who’s looking for a serious long term relationship or marriage.

To say that Tony hasn't been in the game for 15+ years, he sure knows his stuff, because there were no lies told. I entertained conversation with a couple of guys on a dating site, and they both casually told me that the reason they get on the app is because it is easier to be rejected online than in person (lack of confidence).. And now that I think about it, it's difficult to imagine that a confident man ready for something real would entertain being on an app. I can't judge because I literally got on the app due to boredom and looking for conversation (I deleted it after a month). When I'm ready, the dating app would be the last place I look. Great insight, Tony!!

I’m happily married, met my husband on an app 6 years ago but can’t lie I had some bizarre experiences from apps before meeting him. I watch all your videos, even the ones that don’t specifically pertain to me because I’ve found wisdom in them all and it helps especially when I have so many friends and even my sister that are good women looking for suitable mates with no success. I myself can’t speak to what the dating scene is like as of now but the shenanigans I hear from them are crazy. They all have some pretty disastrous dating experiences on and off the apps. It’s scary, use discernment in all circumstances.

I met my husband on a dating app 9 years ago. We two are happily married. Before meeting my husband I went through it on the apps and off the apps. Tony is speaking though. As a business women I treated dating like a new client. It sounds harsh but it works. If the portfolio was thin you could not date me. My husband checked all boxes, single, no kids , was at his job for 10 years which meant he was stable. Yes, he is fine, fit and financially secured. We as women have to be smart, patient and very observant when dating.

i met my ex on a dating app. he’s 29 and i’m 21.. that should have been the first red flag. things started to move really fast and I can honestly say the red flags were showing after a few days of talking to him. In the beginning he was going out of his way to make me feel special but about a month and a half in I was lying next to him and I heard him match with someone on the dating app. I was pissed because I didn’t think he was still on there and he came from apologizing to getting really angry because I wanted to leave. He grabbed me by the hair, threw me on the couch, got on top of me and starting yelling in my face saying I was a stupid bitch for thinking he was cheating and trying to leave. Unfortunately I was desperate and stayed for some time but I finally been free from him for about 6 weeks now. I couldn’t take the emotional abuse anymore. He wasn’t respecting me or my boundaries at all. He was in the military also. For that I will NEVER touch another dating app!

I totally agree with you! I understand that we are in the age of technology, but I always thought online dating was weird! I shouldn’t have to go online to get a man.

This video was insightful. I actually met my now husband on a dating app in 2016, and fortunately we knew each other from 15 years prior from the military/high school. I was on an app for three weeks, and avoided the foolishness and some of the things you’re discussing. I was just blessed to get in and get out of the online dating game, we are still married, both doing very well, and have a little princess who’s 4 now!!!! Thank you for a great video though, and I’m on the video because I’m a follower of yours and you present great dialogue.

Guilty of being on the dating apps for longer than I’d like to admit just out of laziness. My ex boyfriend was a good guy but he was on there certainly because he was hiding that he was still staying in his parents basement despite making good money & just buying cars. The final straw that made me pull the plug was this white guy I dated for 2 months. Ended up having such great chemistry in our conversation but he admitted he didn’t have a strong relationship with God and just was content making his own decisions. By date 8 his mask slipped & despite his consistent asking me out on dates, he had no interest in asking me to be his girlfriend. Sociopathic tendencies started to surface among him trying to be a womanizer so I dipped and deleted all the apps finally! I know God doesn’t need my help in sending me the right guy when it’s time!

I’m about to delete this App I just got on last month. Geesh…so much to navigate but I’m gonna trust God.

I have everything I want in my life except a partner and because of this I have definitely fell into the trap of online dating especially when you meet so many people who found partners online, but Tony didn’t lie. I have never had success online. Bunch of crabs in a barrel looking for convenience. All I can control is being the best person I can be in the REAL world.♥️💋

This is the playground for narcissists! I know I’ve been on them for 10+ years and I have met some pretty broken damaged men. They never appear this way, they were well dressed even spoke well. But they were devils in sheep’s clothing.

Dating app story, met this guy from a dating app, went to his house after meeting twice, I didn’t want to sleep with him, he grabbed my wrist and I hanked my wrist back and said I want to go home, I don’t drink and he had a few drinks after him tryna show me around his “condo” I ran back downstairs and out that condo so fast to my car scared, off the dating apps for life and never turned back, that man could have killed me this was in 2017 and no one would have known, young and dumb was I is all I can say but thank you brother Tony for saving us women out here, God bless you and your family. Update: I tried dating apps again recently. What I’m finding out is I only go on there when I think I need to “help” out God 😅. Met a guy who ended up letting me know he had an daily addiction to “nasty” movies, and also had some other serious issues. Thankfully we only were talking for about two weeks 😅. Yes people can hide who they are in person as well, but when I met this guy in person (during the day in public) his energy was way off, something wasn’t right. I kept feeling uneasy about him and getting warnings in my spirit. We can’t go off rare exceptions to the rule. I’m going to keep coming back to this video when I need a reminder 😂. Thanks Tony!

This was exactly my story. Jobless when I met him, blamed the pandemic. 40 yrs old with two roommates, drug addiction, porn problem, video gamer, but claimed on his profile he wanted a “Christ centered” relationship. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I've used dating apps on and off for years and Tony Is absolutely right! A lot guys want to move fast, acting in a rush to meet but not really trying to get to know you or the bums looking for help, which are both major red flags. I use to not see anything wrong with online dating but after listening to Tony videos, it made me change my perspective. Not to mention, there are a lot of down low/ gay men online. Dating is very different now and you must take the time to vet and get to know people no matter how long it takes don't rush it. I do not reccomend online dating. But again, Tony appreciate your insight you have helped me, God bless!!

It’s so funny…I was thinking about downloading a dating app (kinda tired of being single) but then this video pops up on my feed😬I’m taking this as a sign from God… 😭

I don’t know how many times Tony gotta say “Stay off that line!” That always ring in my head.

I had a friend who met her husband on a dating app. According to her, he was great the first few years. He proposed and a few months before they got married, he started shutting her out. I asked her if she wanted to wait, stop the wedding planning, and just go to counseling. They started counseling. She told me that she had spent much money to stop the wedding. 🤦🏾‍♀️ They got married. She found out she had contracted an STD from him. She stayed. A month after marriage, he started shutting her out again. The marriage lasted from August 2019 until December 2021. She told me that she was done with with his treatment and was leaving him. She told me that they were going to talk that evening. The next day after our conversation she ended up dieing a mysterious death. She was a very healthy and fit woman. I will always believe he did something to her.

I thankfully found my mate on a dating app. However, most men I met on apps were seeking nothing more than sex, & often were liars & creeps... Be careful out here folks!

These are valid points, nevertheless, I tell ppl to use discernment not feelings no matter how you meet someone! Ppl are always going to bring their best representation; it's up to you to use wisdom and prayer to sift through the nonsense. The main thing is if and when you see red flags, leave! Women have this issue so bad because we tolerate and stay far too long!

First of all thank you Tony for talking about a much needed topic. Unfortunately, I have experienced more than one story on the dating app. I have experienced scammers 101, as I call it. There are way too many experiences to describe. But, here's what I can say. There is truth to everything that you shared Tony. 1.)Those men that move quickly, and start with the love bombing, wanting to spend time, talking, texting, video chatting in an excessive manner. 2.)Those who obviously, looking to "get you on your back" as you say Tony. Then quickly disappear , if you're not up for that. 3.) Those who lead double lives, show you the representative of who they are, while having wives, or situationships at home , that you later find out about. 4.) Emotionally immature or unavailable. 5.) Or people that know that you are out of there league and would not be attracted to them. Then get upset, if you respectfully decline. This was my experience in a shorter version. It doesn't matter if it was a Christian dating app. My results were same but different circumstances. As, a mature woman my children encouraged me to start dating using the apps starting last year. I have met some nice guys but, as a whole. I would say it's a No! For me!! There's waaaaaay more that I could tell you. About Crazy dating Apps. com!!

As soon as I got off them literally men started approaching me every single time I popped out the house. When I was on them that barely happened. I think it's a energy thing. Also I'm more confident than I was months ago so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. Confident people attract other confident people. HE'S RIGHT! GET OFF THEM APPS!!

@@ashleykathryn9038 no problem at all. I'd say highlight your natural curves if you have any. Make them eyes pop with a bomb mascara and gloss. Wearing bright clothing works as well. I'm very shapely, 5'10, with a fro so most times I'd say I naturally stick out. It's not everyday you see women with my paticular look where I'm from so I get noticed A LOT and I always get compliments from men and women of all races and ethnicities. You don't have to be a girly girl either. My look is girly tomboy. Always comfortable but a Lil sexy.

I was single for 5-6 years. Decided to go on a dating app just to see if I would meet anyone nice. Met a man who I thought was the one. As time passed & we got to know each other, something felt off about him. But I didn’t listen to my intuition cause I wanted to believe so badly that he was a good person. Ended up in a relationship with a covert narcissist. Thankfully I got out in time. I learned my lesson!😥

Hi Tony, I met a dating scammer in real life. It started when he walked up to me at a shop and we had a conversation, exchanged numbers. He wanted us to meet as soon as possible, but due to my busy schedule I asked that we meet 5 days later. In the mean time, he would video call and we would talk an hour everyday. From the conversations we had, 1 thing stuck out to me that the man seemed to be purposeless - as he would not really have firm plans grounded in work. When I finally met him, in public, I asked him what he does - he wasn’t very open, but I kept probing until he confessed that he was an online dating scammer. After that encounter in real-life - I definitely don’t want to look for more of his kind on a dating app.

I’m hearing comments on why not to get on a dating app. But I’m not seeing any solutions on how to meet men organically. I don’t have to much of a social life. I mostly go to regular everyday places like the gym, church, grocery store, gas station or what not. I met a guy at my gym and he was total garbage 🗑. Now I am not saying what Tony said isn’t true! But if you want to preach about staying off dating apps, but you want to meet someone and you don’t go to social events. Then please provide an healthier alternative 🤷🏾‍♀️

You really should consider going to social gatherings or events you hear about. Look into festivals and networking events too. Also try new hobbies and join groups that have those same interests. Go to restaurants around lunch, happy hr and/or early dinner and try to go solo. Men will approach you more when you are alone. Do as much as you can outside of your home so you are available to be approached. Look friendly and happy. Good luck🙂

I would but I don’t know how to find out about these events 😕. If I knew about them I would go. I guess what I am trying to say is I understand that by meeting a guy in person he has confidence to come up to me knowing he could get rejected 🙅🏾‍♀️. But men I have met online as well as in person we’re still playing the same games 😤. I have been going to counseling for awhile now and doing the work on myself to make sure that I don’t fall into the same traps I had went along with years ago. So when I see the foolery I end it. But just meeting men out and about isn’t something that happens often for me anymore. Any suggestions on how to find these events?

I pray one day you’ll see what I mean. You can also look on facebook for social events or festivals nearby your area, just use your discernment.

@@marlaohara6236 others can’t really give more specific suggestions for your situation and location, you have to do some research yourself. There are other videos that cover this, but first you want to decide if you’re actually interested in a relationship? Sometimes we just don’t want to be alone, but not trying to put in the effort needed… next you def would have to make sure your “look” is saying what you want it to say, Tony’s done videos on this too. If you have confidence issues or deal with awkwardness/social anxiety, there are ways to manage it. Always start with prayer, ask God to lead and protect you and talk with your counselor or trusted friends about how you may show up in public to strangers. I reeeeally don’t recommend meeting men at the gym or the club, like that steak in the garbage analogy 😒 I’m not in a dating season but I will say I’ve met quality men by joining organizations, like a local community group, Rotary club, hiking group etc. There are Facebook pages for events in your area but again you have to look and show up with the right appearance and energy. You might even have a book club, farmers market or singles group at your church. If you have local friends, maybe go with them to an elevated event like lounge or jazz show etc. even our prior condo association had mixers and lots of singles turned out. What you said about recognizing red flags is key so def keep your eyes open and go SUPER slow. Tony’s point about men’s confidence is secondary IMO to the knowledge that women are literally being hunted like prey and losing their LIVES on these apps. That’s the real concern. Good luck!!!

I soooooooo needed this. The apps are like shopping on a clearance rack. Nothing but trash, sorry to be so blunt and I was on there myself, so I was lowering my price so to speak bc I was kinda desperate at one time. But I’m good now, I’ll wait the old fashioned way & trust God instead of some stupid algorithms

Tony you are absolutely correct!! I’ve been on a few dating sites; but because I’ve been taught how to date, I’ve had some great experiences. I think if women are wise and in tune with their discernment, anything is positively possible. On one popular site I had over 100 men to sort through within day 3, I had to keep a log of who what when and where, lol but it was a lot of fun though. I’m no longer on dating sites because it became boring with all the redundant conversations. I would like to encounter a gentleman who can tell me something I don’t already know.

I recently dated someone off of bumble for 2 months , and after them two months red flags 🚩 started popping off everywhere 😂 all I can hear is Tony voice in my head … he didn’t have a car , he started not wanting to take me on dates anymore because he wanna save money for his car , we go from talking everyday to barely talking… 🤦🏽‍♀️ he said he was a man of God and he knew the word but still wanted to follow his will. I got on a dating app for the first time in 2018. I stayed for 2 weeks only. I went on dates with 3 different men. Only one of the men was of substance but he had yellow teeth so I couldn’t put up with it. The other two men tried to have sex with me ASAP. One of them I had to run out because he didn’t understand or refused to understand I wasn’t going to have sex with him. I have never been back on the app since. A really good friend of mine found her guy that she was with for 3 years on a dating app. They were about to get engaged and then he dropped a bomb. He said he wanted to sleep around before they get engaged so that he can get it out of his system. She said no and they broke up. He got engaged less than six months later and turns out he had been dating that girl while dating my friend. YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS UP 😰

Everyone wants to think that they are, or will be, the exception to the rule. The truth is you probably aren't nor will you be.

These dating app videos are my favorite of Tony Gaskins. He has a few and I earn different bits of knowledge every time. God can sense my spiritual warfare because I’ve been wanting to redownload an app out of boredom Side note: It is hilarious whenever Tony the uses the word desperate . I holler the way he says it. Ladies, don’t go shopping for a man.

I was on a dating app over 5 years ago. Tony is absolutely right! A family member just recently showed me a picture on someone I met on the dating app. He is still out there! Mind you this man was a US Marshall, and very handsome. I met another one that was a pilot for the Air Force. So don't be fooled by their line of work.🥴

Thanks for sharing this Tony. As a Millennial at 33, I have never used them and have no desire to use. I have had friends and peers shame for not using them. Something in my spirit never felt right about them.

I just had a scary experience on the app and thankfully God protected me. The guy came off as the food Christian man lol…started love bombing but something was too good to be true. I looked him up and first thing I found was he was lying on his age. So when he texted me I nicely asked him was his age accurate…I found his true age. He immediately got defensive and mad at me for looking him up…then he sent a cryptic message saying I prefer dating older women and now I’ll vanish. It was so weird and unsettling. That was my last time trying dating apps. The men want access and options…I deactivated my account and got back to my blessed life. God has been good to me…and I’ll wait on Him. If I don’t get married I’ll be okay too Jesus was single lol ppl are crazy stay safe lady and gents. Thank you Tony for sharing wisdom it’s much appreciated.

I was dating apps after my divorce and it was a nightmare, even Christian Mingle. I was on E-Harmony, Plenty of Fish, Tinder, even Facebook dating, and Bumble. All are the same, even the ones you have to pay to be on it. The men were either looking for just a hook-up or someone to help him financially. You might meet one or two decent ones out of a truckload of messed up ones. I just off all of completely about 4 years ago. I bump into guys at the laundromat, grocery store, or at car shows that are better prospects than those dating apps.

We heard why not to be on dating apps and I can agree with most of what he said but no one was speaking where to meet quality men at. I’ve been on dating apps and I’ve had a mixed experience with it. I’ve also known friend who are in healthy relationships by meeting their spouses online, some even married.

My abusive ex was and probably still is on those apps. We met in real life, but we once broke up for a while. About a year or 2, and he was on them during that time. We reconnected and got back together and he nearly unalived idk how many times. I should’ve stayed away and left him on those apps. And what’s funnier is that he’s a cop.👮🏿‍♂️ So you can NOT even trust to date law enforcement officers on those apps. I thought I was safe and could trust him but he used the law to have power over me and silence me. So please, stay away from dating apps and I hate to say it, be careful with dating cops too! I’ve dated 3 cops and they were all awful... Don’t comment that your dad or granddad is a cop and are/were the sweetest men trying to invalidate my experiences. Don’t care.

Dating apps have never worked for me and it’s just a bunch of guys on there playing games and wearing a mask pretending to be somebody they not just to manipulate you and get what they want which is a good time😭

I got off dating apps last year. I was on there three times.I got on for a week… met some prospects, then got off. Several months later, did the same thing. I met 4 guys. 2 of the 4 I am still and contact with was in a relationship with both of them. The third time on the app was the cause that I walked away, one guy spiked my drink, another guy tried to rape me, the stalked me, and the other guy was married. That was enough for me. I met good guys, however, the bad guys actions strongly out weighted the good.

Love this! There are many women coaches out here advising women to get on dating apps especially with the pandemic, so glad you give a different perspective!! God bless you and your family!

I can appreciate the therapeutic transparency of the comment section. This is an anointed lesson, confirmation, and blessing. A part of healing is the ability to say, “I’ve been there!”

I'll just call it out as it is: 1. Men who have time to go around and approach women in public also have dating apps installed or have not heard of them yet or are too old. 2. Men who approach women in public are massive players. Since they get rejected a lot, they are used to go on to the next, the next, the next..until someone says yes. 3. In public, you let a man choose you. Only based on your looks. On the dating app is mutual choosing and you can also see other things listed like interests, hobbies, pets etc. The only reason men that tried dating apps but don t use them anymore is not because they are super valuable or full of integrity! It s just because they don t get enough likes or matches and they get angry. It s a lot of competition on there. And sure, there is a high percentage of nasty people on dating apps but so is in real life! At the church..at the supermarket or at the library...the world is mostly full of nasty people. But that s life.

I have tried to meet men IRL , but they all turn out to be weird, married or just as bad as men on dating apps. Its hard online dating or in real life. It sucks both ways big time. Love your video ❤❤❤

You're absolutely right. Some years before getting married, I met a guy on a dating app. He told me he worked off shore. We talked about a month before meeting and I told a friend of mines about him and her daughter ran his name on Google. Low and behold, his off shore job was prison. I confronted him and he said he didn't want to say that's where he was because I probably wouldn't want to see him. He was correct, and luckily I met him at a mall and he didn't know where I lived. That was our last conversation and I got off the site.
