I loved my evo, I had a 9MR I'm doing a Z build now. I love the amenities of my Z. However my Evo was 500awhp 400wtq with e85, nothing will ever compare to the delivery of power like my evo did. But I just cruise now, my son misses the evo, but I like having a 2 door weekend cruiser. Evo is my alltime favorite vehicle though.

Any Evo is worth buying. Period. No reason needed.

If you don't take care of it like any car it won't be reliable, i daily drive my 9 and i have had no issues for the year + i have owned it.@@imnotitachi1650 People who complain beat the shit out of there car and don't keep up on maintenance.

In fact it's a real drivers car and in my opinion not a car for people who arent able to service it on their own. For sure it's not as reliable as a newer sports car but that is also not what it was built for:)

I am a total car noob. But I always wanted to buy an evo coz its my dream car. So I wanna know if someone like me could take care of an evo. I legit don't know crap about cars all I want is to be proud of what I drive.

I have a Lancer GTS 2009 2.4L with the CVT and paddle shifters. It's really fun to drive, but it only makes me wonder how much more fun it would be to actually have an Evo X. Someday.

Evo in general holds their price really well. I bought my almost stock evo 9 in early 2018 for $29k with 45,xxxmiles.

Yogg-Saron bought it from a random guy who owns a car lot and he just had an evo sitting there everything works perfect the car was abandoned but besides that the car runs pretty good the best part is has a lot of hks parts

I have a 2014 wrx hatchback. Before i got it i loved how it looked with aftermarket wing, fender flares, tires etc, and also the practicality , but never really knew about the engine. If it was me now i wouldve probably went for an evo

Owning an evo would be a dream come true for me, ever since seeing it in the fast of furious franchise I instantly fell in love and knew that I would want it as my daily in the future.

Hopefully i can buy one of these one day. Evos are literally my dream

I literally just bought my customers EVO IX MR recently. I've done so much work to it and it pretty much made sense to just buy it and use it as a shop car.

@@TymanHer With any older performance car maintenance is key. But after that these cars are just as reliable as anything. I dailyed mine 4 months last year

Thanks man. The lip is the mechanical deck lip. Super hard to find. Nt03 are the 18x10.5

I bought my EVO IX in the summertime of 2007. He was brandnew, darkest black paint and a badass view like Darth Vader. I was falling in love at this moment ;-) I still own it today. Damn man, you evo looks so good! So simple and it's just fire! I wanted to ask what specs are those NT03 wheels though? I've been wanting to get those same wheels but I heard that if you don't get the offset or spacers correct they rub a lot and that it doesn't have clearance for the calipers. But damn it looks sick!!

i have the same wheels on my ix w/ 255 35 proxes and im running spacers to clear the brakes as well. rubs a tiny bit only when turning in reverse but these wheels are worth it

Sorry if in asking to much xD I just really wanna run those wheels but I was thinking about 18x9.5 with 255/35 too but I really don't want to mod the rear fenders.

I love Evos. That's why ima trade my 15 WRX for an Evo X GSR soon. Btw I liked how you showed examples of what these cars are capable of lol.

Rook Link Yes, I am aware of that. The internals are probably going to end up being modded to resemble an Evo 8/9, and/or be a CP Evo that resembles the IV in appearance. Regardless, at the end of the day, it’s going to be, or resemble a IV.

What size wheels and offset is that? I have a gg 9 mr like yours and I’ve wanted nto3’s since I bought it. So clean with the front lip too

Evo X owner here. There are upsides and downsides to choosing the X over the IX. It's much more comfortable, and makes a better daily, and the S-AWC on the X is much better than the IX, as well as the AYC being more competent than in the IX. But, it requires sway bars and springs to feel the same as a stock IX, and is 200 odd pounds heavier. The 4b11t is a "better" engine than the 4g63, but that only applies at stock form or with basic bolt ons due to weight, cooling properties, and having mivec exhaust, while the IX only has mivec intake. Once you get to the super high horsepower mark, the closed deck cast iron 4g63 is a better choice. On a side note, I hear the 5 speed in the X is better than the 6 speed in the IX, but I can't confirm that. In short; if you want a daily, or at least a comfortable street car, get an X. If you want a race car, get an IX.

Couldn’t find a good reasonable price for an Evo to match with my subie

I still like evos they are clean. I used to have a yellow 8 and that thing would make power easily.

Also for practicality you can work on these cars so easy...coming from the EJ motor to the 4G it was insanely easy.

Went with a X because it’s hard to find a unicorn IX.. hopefully one day I can own both. One for DD duties. Other for weekend warrior duties. I’m sure you know which is which.
