Your intellect and knowledge is beyond!!! I am absolutely flabbergasted that your subscriber count is not exponentially increasing! PS that video about 10 clones was genius! I was thoroughly entertained and learnt a lot.

Great review and spot-on. I saw ATH review Explorer and he made a great point, from his perspective as a perfumer. It's not a clone. They took Aventus, tweaked it, and in most ways made it better. Could not agree more. I own several pre-reform Aventus batches and reach for Explorer 9 times out of 10.

I think youre spot on with the price. Spending $60+ on was extravagant. Now less than $70 is getting you something like a car freshener. Im sure they all use the finest cage free bergamots. But its making it harder to justify buying them.

You are so under-rated. You don't have nearly as many subscribers as you deserve. My suggestion is to reach out to Real Men Real Style or Gentleman's Gazette to do a collab. You need WAY more exposure.

Such an honest and down to earth review. Love it! At least you have the intelligent viewpoint that 99% of the people who ware fragrances are not fragheads. Also 99% of the people who are around us and have to smell us are not fragheads. Thank you for understading that, although you are one of the finest fragrance reviewers out there.

A great video, thank you. 2020 really has knackered my fragrance collecting. This was indeed the last fragrance I bought back in February, I've taken for granted just how good it is. I've loved Montblanc ever since Presence was launched. They have hit upon a winner here, my 17 y/o nephew and 70 y/o dad both asked for it, so I totally agree with your words. Loving the reviews. I'd love to know your thoughts on Lancome's Hypnose Homme. It doesn't get a lot of love.

I find explorer so much more refined than cdnim in terms of the blending and harshness I had the pure parfum and edp cdnim and the scent trail is absolutely amazing but up close and personal it can just be quite messy on my skin Explorer doesn’t have as much poke or get in your face so much , it’s definitely more subtle but I find it has a beautiful scent trail and smells better close up than cdnim I also found that explorer doesn’t perform to badly compared to newer variants of cdnim and it definitely has a high oil concentration because when I spray it on my skin I can see it like I can the cdnim pure parfum Both are great scents but my money goes to Mont Blanc explorer for just being a bit more refined and less in your face but everyone is different 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mont Blanc is more high quality, but not the same experience as aventus. personally I think it smells better than creed aventus. the armaf clone is just beast mode lemon pledge

I watched your "is aventus still worth it" video earlier this year and I'm thoroughly convinced that everyone should just buy explorer instead.

If you're looking for a 99% clone of Aventus then get Club De Nuit Intense Man by Armaf but let me tell you that the opening is really harsh but dry down is absolutely the same. In the dry down CDNIM is literally 100% Aventus. .......... Mont Blanc Explorer: I prefer it more than CDNIM instead because it smells extremely pleasant and very smooth right from the start to the dry down. Fragrance snobs might hate this one but the average joe absolutely loves it to death.

@@A7xeno With a huge company like Montblanc, I'd say Explorer is definitely the way to go as well. Let's face it, Montblanc are going to hire better perfumers for their fragrances than Armaf. All in all, as long as we all agree not to get Creed Aventus, we on the same side xD

@@bassinblue Same, I honestly hate those snobs who are always like "Oh you're gonna smell like everyone else" or saying nonsense like "Dior Sauvage doesn't smell good because it isn't really complex". I mean when you're on the street, not a single person is gonna start trying to pick the notes of a fragrance or anything. Mont Blanc explorer/CDNIM and Aventus are fragrances that only the most elite fragrances reviewers can distinguish between.

Let's face it, at the end of the day, most guys don't wear fragrances and when they do, it's a cheap bottle (not to say it's a bad thing) and is something they don't really care about. I've personally owned Aventus till I felt their quality got bad, and honestly last year when I smelt Montblanc on a guy, I was 100% convinced it was Aventus, but he ofc told me it was Montblanc. Creed, in all honestly, killed their own business.

The sillage is fantastic if you smelled it off someone it's so masculine and self assured it has an earthy shaving cream vibe.

Just finished my 30ml and bought a 100ml. This frag is my Signature scent. I have many top designers brands and this always comes first, second is A*men and third is EROS EDT.

Great reasons and analysis for each! Its uniqueness within the designer world is quite a sharp observation. Might seem paradoxical or just wrong at first, but ultimately it is spot on.

Purchased this recently and has become a favourite especially as a dumb reach. When you think its done its keeps coming back and you get whiffs. Only knock on it is its a tad 2 dimensional there's not a lot if depth. But I still love it!

@@prescottarizona972 when i tried ot i sprayed once on my hand and could still smell it after 8 hours . 100 % it s your skin . I even heard people that said Armani SWY don t last . If i spray 5 time that thing will kill someone after 4 hours . Maybe it s the PH idk .. for example Versace Eros don t want to stay on me . 100 % gone in 2 hours .

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know it was so cheap. I'm used to most flagship designers being $80+ so I've stayed away, but $50 is a steal for this, I ordered it instantly.

@@donquique1 Summer fragrances usually smell great in winter and summer since they're very fresh and clean fragrances making them practically all year round fragrance. I wear Artisan Pure in December-January and smells great. Winter fragrances on the other hand in summer smell way too potent and practically just too much. I once sprayed Spicebomb extreme in the summer heat of June and it smelled good but it was soooooo sweet and so potent that nobody liked it.

Another great review. I’ve been thinking of buying this frag for some time. The only MontBlanc frag I own is Starwalker.... and that’s great for the price..

This video sums up very well what Mont Blanc Explorer is.

Can’t get enough of it... Serious compliment puller. Longevity is not great, but at this price reapplying isn’t a big deal. I honestly prefer it to Aventus. Especially the more recent batches.

I’ve had aventus and it’s really good . But I also have purchased this mont blanc explorer and let me tell you for the price point go with the explorer . I’ve gotten more compliments with explorer 😂👌🏽 unless you have aventus money 💰 then by all means get both 🤷🏽‍♂️

Liking the David Essex clobber mate 😎 I think you're one of the few KZreadrs who doesn't dismiss explorer because it's a "clone". As a stand alone fragrance it's perfect. I get compliments every time I wear it. Even while wearing masks at work in a warehouse. That's quality right there. Keep up the content quality mate.

MBE is one of my favorite fragrances, even more than Aventus. The only downside is that the longevity is rather mediocre. Given the cost, it isn't that unreasonable to reapply. But I wish they pushed it to Sauvage levels of longevity.

I never thought the longevity Was the problem I can still smell it after I wash my clothes and I can still detect it after I take a shower now maybe the projections not the greatest but it has longevity wish I could argue is more important

Great review mate. If anyone in the community wants to improve performance, and dampens the lemon pledge opening note, add some extra ambroxan. It's already in there, so doesn't change the dna, it just Amps it up

I think their line is a hidden gem. Great value for the price. I wanted to ask if anyone else experiences not getting good performance out their line? I feel like It doesn't last much at all and requires multiple applications throughput the day.

Just bought a bottle of explorer. Not a fragrance fanatic, but I agree it feels unique and appealing for all ages. It’s dry down is disappointing however. I will have to get used to applying more than usual at the start of my day or applying more than once. Best advice is to try in store and buy online

Agree good advice. I got a small bottle from Walmart Online for $25 and it smells like fabric cleaner to me the entire day I wore it. It's just another typical smelling boring unisex designer fragrance yet again. Nothing "masculine" about this fragrance to my nose whatsoever. I'm returning it.

It's very complicated. CDNIM is messy, although they really nailed the Aventus vibe.

Can't say it enough! Compliments galore! The ONLY drawback is it's longevity. If u could reapply this... You're in business! 🔥🔥

Hey.! Do you use bloom purfumes for your samples ect?? Just tried that sm cafe sample, its so lush, thinking of getting the bloom subscription as seems like a good idea, just bought exploer for my boy as he wanted it for xmas, so will smell it when he opens it lol

Your 4th point is very strong. Everything your saying is well informed and very smart. From the lens of someone whose been into fragrances for a while, I can totally understand your theory and you’re totally correct Designer world got so caught up in the Bubblegum VS. Blue fragrances they let themselves get sideswiped by an Aventus inspired fragrance. Also Montblanc is a certified designer which is a great stamp of approval in general retail VS all those random clone houses

Prefer the scent to Aventus. Love the woods throughout. Performance can be a bit lacking but at this price point, reapplication is no issue.

I agree with you. I don't know why this isn't the #1 selling fragrance in the world. It may be for all I know.

I absolutely love Explorer. I've recommended it, and gifted it. If I had to, at gunpoint may I add, choose 1 designer fragrance for the rest of my life, Explorer is easily in the top 10 to choose from.

Have you done a review on Dior homme 2020, if not, are you planning on it? I'd love to hear your perspective... I personally think it's the best Dior homme in the line,, I'm glad they got rid of the iris note, I personally hated that lipstick/makeup vibe

Agreed, I heard all this and that about how the original Dior Homme was to die for, ultimate sexy fragrance etc. but when I finally got it I absolutely hated that lipstick smell and ended up giving it to my sister. Dior Homme 2020 on the other hand ... banger of a fragrance, really really good.

I could've sworn I bought explorer in 2018; but it came out in 2019? It was my signature scent in my office for almost one year. I bought a sample of Aventus earlier this year. I prefer the smell of Aventus but Explorer holds up very well and it's my 'dumb reach' scent.

The last thing I bought before quarantine! hahaha the memories I have with it are quite mixed

When it came out I didn’t cared for so I just bought ultra male then suddenly out of nowhere I got it for a really good price and I like it a lot. parfum it’s like falling in love some are love at first sight and with another ones you need to wear them to build a relationship with them lol.

It smells great but doesn't stay long at all. I can only have this indoors, if I stay outside for too long it disappears pretty fast. Thankfully these things don't cost too much. Something like Acqua di Gio probably costs almost twice as this one and it doesn't stay long either.
