I have found my Approach R10 easy to set-up, pretty accurate, and easy to use. Love it.

I had ES14, Rapsodo, SC200, SC300i and lastly I got the R10 but even though I spend the most with the R10, I have the best experience and also have fun playing the simulator after a short practice session at the local range. Of course I would love the putting feature but can't ask that much for $600 priced device. I tried all the courses I am familiar with and are pretty accurate on distance and bunker locations, etc. So I love it!

Well done. I had an R10 for a minute and cannot disagree with any of these points. Why I spent the money for a GC3 - well except the putting.

I was all about buying an affordable launch monitor and went through everything 2k and below (Mevo, Mevo+, Rhapsodo, Garmin R10, SC200+, SC300i, and last, but not least, the PRGR). They all have their plusses and minuses…you pointed out some for the R10. I would add it’s a pain to set up on the range. Because it measures (or calculates - like you, had a tough time tracking down facts) curve, if you don’t have it set up exactly square, your shot shape will be way off. If you hit off mats, not that big a deal until you change targets. I hit off grass, so you have to keep adjusting it whenever you move around your ball position…PITA and took away from the experience…as for the algorithm…I didn’t find it very accurate many times and it was just too much to deal with, never knowing if you captured accurate data or not…sent it back. Stuck with the PRGR for a while as I found it easy to set up and very accurate. Even took it with me to my club fitting where they were using a Trackman and set it up side by side…it was within a few digits on what it measures…However, you can’t scroll through individual shots, so I bought a Mevo for that and it works great. Just set and forget except for club selection. Just put my airpod in, and it tells me the data I want without having to read it…

@@prochr0744 I found both to be very accurate compared to all the others in the price range. For me, though, the Mevo+ had more parameters to look at, which is what I was looking for. I geek out on golf gear and always swapping grips, shafts, heads, etc…so, the Mevo+ makes it very easy to input all those different combinations to track, as well as all the parameters to compare.

If you are a mid to high handicap golfer this the R10 is perfect for you. If you are a pro or high level amateur competitive golfer go spend the money on a high end model that gives you numbers accurate to the foot or yard, you need it. The R10, with subscription, gives you all the sim courses and sim tournaments as well if you want to go that route for about $100 a year.

Can't believe you didn't mention that it needs LOTS of space indoors. If you don't have 15 feet or more between ball and net then the output is very inconsistent

I love the R10 but there is one issue that I do have with the device. I am a 'club waggler' in my pre shot routine and this messes with the R10. If you have a pre shot routine that you go through and have been doing it for a long time it might give you fits.

Great stuff buddy. Got mine last week, after waiting since February. I used it for the 2nd time on the range today, and distance and flight path seem spot on, which leads me to believe clubhead speed & ball speed are equally spot on. However, spin rate, angle of attack & other metrics are a bit all over the place, sometimes. Also, the device seems to struggle with wedges (perhaps because when I hit full wedges they go towering into the air?). Distance & flight path again are OK, again club head speed & ball speed seem pretty consistant, but spin rate of 1000?, or 12,000? I think it has to do with the fact you have to enter your club (& loft), and tries to extrapolate the numbers from that. E.g. my 7-iron is a 12-year old Taylormade r9 TourPrefered, with 34° of loft, where as my buddy has a 31° Ping 7-iron 525 or 424 (I forgot what exact nr), which should give completely different calculated spin rates & the likes. BUT, it did get me to the range twice this last week, which I hadn't done in ages & I looked back at my swing & ball flight, which already saw some minor improvement in grip, alignment, takeaway, club path & ball flight. So yeah, totally worth the money for me. Question, did you try the R10 on course as well? And if so, how did it work for you? Because, so far I've only used range balls & I know I hit my Honma TW-S balls about 10 yards further for wedges & 30-40 yards further for driver.

I've never used it on the course, but have used it a bunch on the range, and have had pretty accurate results for the most part - more so than I expected for the price.

You cant broadcast to a projector. With R10 you can. And properly set up, the numbers are good. And the new titleist ball picks up the spin rate ...legit.

I think you are just a hater :) I have had mine for a long time and it's awesome and accurate and does things in the same way that the track man systems do and that is and has been the gold standard, plus all of the other devices that give you comparable data are 4 to 20 times the cost, a good and bad comparison video would have been better

haha go watch any of the other like half dozen videos I've done on the R10. I think it's an excellent device, and a no brainer at the price. But as with all of these products, there are pros and cons, and nothing is perfect. But if you watch my dedicated review of it, you'll see I go over all of it in a pretty balanced and unbiased way. kzread.info/dash/bejne/h4ahxat9p9Gscps.html

I can understand right away, they want to get the product on the market to recoup development costs, but it's been 3 years since it came out and they've been promising it that entire time. I got sick of waiting, even though I had to wait 7 months to get the R10, I finally did. Moving though this week so haven't had a chance to use it yet.
