I feel like the SC5 will be the sweet spot that surely has spin axis. Add that, flat rate at $799-$1000 and I’m in.

I like to sit the SC4 on its alignment base , resting on the carry case , seems more accurate , so it is slightly elevated. ...especially from mats or a raised surface, Also exactly 5 feet to 5.6 " max from the tee.. also correctly pre- setting the lofts for all the clubs.. Its good , I,m happy , ! Rapsodo gets too expensive with the subscriptions...

I'm looking to get the SC4, but there are ton of online videos saying it's not that accurate? Does raising the device help that much?

I own the SC4 now and it’s a great product for what it is…I had a Mevo+ and a SkyTrak, but no longer able to set up my home range….so, I don’t go to outdoor ranges as much and wound up selling the Mevo+ and SkyTrak and getting the SC4…I do find the driver data a little wonky, but otherwise very good for getting a good idea how you’re hitting that day (e.g., pre-round)…

Thx for the review i have an SC4 as well, driver/longer clubs numbers just cannot be accurate. The 3W somehow longer then my driver. Like by a lot.

Do you see ball speed numbers pretty accurate though?

Its good to play around with the height-position.. particularly with woods and driver.. to get it to register,, not so much with wedges and irons, it also seems to register yellow balls better than the SC3 Which seemed to prefer only white balls .? go figure that one eh..

I like my sc4 a lot at first but I’ve recently put it against a gc quad and even my cheap prgr it’s getting accurate club speed and ball speed but for example my 8i is consistently 10-15 yards short on the sc4

Agree with what you're seeing as well. Good ball speed but not accurate yardages. Especially on driver and longer clubs.

Will the device, without using your phone, give you good results on how far you have hit it left or right?

It does but you have to have it lined up accurately. Have to pay attention to it.

Just received my SC4 two days ago. I like it but the carry distance accuracy seems to be 10-15 yards short on all clubs. Hitting to yardage markers on the driving range verified with my range finder. Setup is easy and data seems pretty accurate except for the carry distance. Any ideas?

I set it it on Carry distance..hit some shots , check the carry then switch it to total and see the distance of that shot.. then it adds up and makes sense.. like 220 carry will become 240 Total. ( TSR 2-. 4 wood). for example.. same with the irons..

@@dolfan8181 I haven’t figured it out. Wedges are pretty good, within 2-3 yards on carry. But irons and woods are consistently short. Getting frustrating a bit. Total distance is closer to my carry.

I feel like for me, setting it up a little closer made the number more accurate. So three or four feet behind instead of five plus feet behind. I think that lets it see the ball at high speeds for a little longer.@@dolfan8181

I currently have the baby mevo and have been looking at either the model you are reviewing or the R10. I use the monitor on the range and of course they have limited flight balls in varying conditions. This makes accuracy problematic and even a Trackman has to use adjusted numbers. In any event the differing quality from ball to ball would make for inconsistent days even if the monitor was perfect. So in my opinion none will give you accurate results under the condition i described. That being said any one of these can be successfully employed to improve your game. I look for trends. Is my swing speed increasing? Can i get my launch down? It gives feedback on the effect of any adjustment i am making. So to that extent it is very useful. Also i find it worth every penny to dial in wedges. I cannot imagine any upgrades including the VC that would help more. Fortunately i am able to see ball flight and my Shotscope data provides accurate gapping and tensency data. I love the Voice Caddy and the R10 but cannot see that they would adduch to my practice. I am going to put the savings toward trackman supported lessons.

So this looks a bit random in terms of number ie preety inaccurate?

I’m finding it not accurate. Off by 20% even boosted 10%. Hitting into a net in my backyard.

Good to know, will never buy one of these.
