This helped me become a twice as better defender as I was and is helping me to play with higher competition.

My philosophy and experience 1) Keep close and within "striking distance" to who you are supposed to mark 2) Keep yourself positioned between the opponent and your goal. 3) Time your tackle to be a hard one, at the exact moment when he receives the ball. not before, or after but right when he gets it, It will never be a foul, if you go for the ball AND it discombobulates him so next time he tries to control the ball he gets nervous and it messes up his ball control ! 4) KNOW your speed when "going for it", make good decision if you are going to make it or not, and again, hit him right when he recieves the ball. I learned that from an old Scottish coach.

Just wait until he makes the move to try to get past u, or takes a wrong touch , then u step in and try to win the ball

Why I like defending? Because I can see the whole ground and all the players

Whenever I try to intercept between attacker and ball, I end up intercepting two bones of foreword. Now,none wants to play with me
